Morningpaper

Peabody · 15/04/2010 22:04

I agree (again) with morningpaper - kudos to GB for NOT mentioning his family in any way. Something the other two failed on.

Page62 · 15/04/2010 22:04

i am definitely watching a different debate
i think NC - nice enough, but not serious contender, and sounding quite sanctimonious
GB - a bit hopeless. i thought was quite rude at times as when the natural thing was to address a point made by NC, he blithely goes on about the relevant Tory policy - like he couldn't really be bothered to consider the Lib Dem as actual opposition
DC - don't think he looked uncomfortable at at all, performed as i thought he would.

TDiddy · 15/04/2010 22:04

This thread is like a discussion at my family table with my 10 brothers and sisters

shlomo · 15/04/2010 22:04

But if DC found it so difficult to get Direct Payments (and he seemed to be saying this from an admin point of view), why does he think that he can run the country?

Clarissimo · 15/04/2010 22:04

PMSL at has he done his a-levels yet great

Kafka9 · 15/04/2010 22:04

DC has won this one, the bookies were right!

Sabs1981 · 15/04/2010 22:04

ew DC staring at me!

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 22:04

They are ALL making me cringe now.

"Hope over fear"
"X Factor"
memorising names

jonicomelately · 15/04/2010 22:04

How can DC say choose hope over fear. What about you describing my beloved country as 'Broken Britain'

Spidermama · 15/04/2010 22:05

Hear Hear Morningpaper and Brolly about dragging in dead aquaintances and sick family anecdotes.

GB has risen above this.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 15/04/2010 22:05

spidermama, i think he was writing down the names as he went along. They were allowed to bring notes and a pen!

hybred77 · 15/04/2010 22:05

I agree with Brolly and MP

APassionateWoman · 15/04/2010 22:05

Closers...

Clegg - yeh, yeh, you're offering something different. Libs have been saying that in different ways for years. More substance, please. He's not the LD leader to make the breakthrough, sadly.

GB - got to the nitty gritty. Didn't need to dig at the Tories, though Lab's policies speak for themselves.

DC - On the defensive. Weak.Values over policy. same old Tory claptrap. How did Tory values help us out in the 80s, Dave?

TDiddy · 15/04/2010 22:05

Clegg should go on Facebook straight after this. He would clean up!

hogshead · 15/04/2010 22:05

go on audience be brave and dont applaud

jonicomelately · 15/04/2010 22:05

PMSL at Kafka9

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 15/04/2010 22:05

"Ready Steady oh f**k" I think Spidermama. Specially if Dave gets in.

ginghamgiraffe · 15/04/2010 22:06

We're all in this together

southeastastra · 15/04/2010 22:06

is anyone else knackered now? that wore me out

Spidermama · 15/04/2010 22:06

I don't watch ITV much.

This hasn't helped.

zisforzebra · 15/04/2010 22:06

NC was the only one who looked like he was genuinely smiling at the end there.

wastwinsetandpearls · 15/04/2010 22:06

Well the twinset house thinks Clegg did well.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 15/04/2010 22:06

What just happened at the end?

Sabs1981 · 15/04/2010 22:06

GB going to shake hand while DC telling NC to stay on stage with him
