UnquietDad - I just shouted "fewer!" at the TV too.

BeenBeta · 15/04/2010 21:33

dinster - cutting now or later. It matters little. What I want is more honesty. None of tem are prepared to say the econmy is in a desperate state and the cuts are going to have to be massive.

Cartoose · 15/04/2010 21:33

This is a bad q for GB

AitchTwoZone · 15/04/2010 21:33

i'm liking cleggy but i think gordy's doing well, he's speaking softly. camo very pink.

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 21:33

Oooo Brown just used the pity, praise, promise set piece for responding to troop question.

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 15/04/2010 21:33

DC really has got a shiney pudgy little face hasn't he

wastwinsetandpearls · 15/04/2010 21:34

This won't change anything in people's views....if you supported anyone's views then you'll still feel the same.

Afghanistan - 5 times mentioned by Mr Cameron....

HumphreyCobbler · 15/04/2010 21:34

they don't dare to be honest, voters SAY they want honestly about cuts, until they hear that the cuts might affect them

AmpleBosom · 15/04/2010 21:34

DC wasting time fawning over the 'brilliant' members of the armed forces

monkeysavingexpertdotcom · 15/04/2010 21:34

At least he's being himself, Kafka9. DC couldn't look more plastic and self-conscious if he tried.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 15/04/2010 21:34

McD - how does one dress up as Clegg?

would you marry gordon or dave?

goldenticket · 15/04/2010 21:34

Sheffield

EggyAllenPoe · 15/04/2010 21:34

also in response to immigration 'id cards for foreign nationals' so they can tell if they have he right to work, well, tht was verifiable before that, and no additional scheme was required....so still jsut a waste of money.

Clegg had a good point there about non-eu staff filling up the NHS - very true. Our local hospital will trian some 3k Phillipino nurses in the next few years...I am slightly ashamed that both men from the two main parties felt the need to pander to anti-immigration tendencies that please the more rascist elements in the Uk population.

Peabody · 15/04/2010 21:34

Kafka9 - think you're the only one drinking tea. I don't think I could watch this sober.

wilbur · 15/04/2010 21:34

I just muted it - to see if I could hear ds2 still partying - and it's v interesting to watch ody language without the words getting in the way. DC stressed and unhappy, GB weirdly enjoying himself, NC thinking a lot but coming across as sincere.

MsDav · 15/04/2010 21:35

Yep puricity spotted that too, might be a full handlebar jobby by the end?

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 15/04/2010 21:35

dinster

"Any economists here? Can someone tell me who is right out of dc and gb about cutting now or cutting later?"

It's kind of a matter of opinion, danger of cutting spending too early in recovery is you stop money going into the economy, run the risk of going back into recession. But no way to definitively say how early is too early AFAIK...

Brollyflower · 15/04/2010 21:35

Has anyone slipped in "hard working families" yet?

DorotheaPlenticlew · 15/04/2010 21:35

I prefer it when they look at the audience -- Clegg looking at cameras is a bit stagey and weird, talking-head type thing.

UnquietDad · 15/04/2010 21:35

Nettie - see new Radio Times. They are all "Spitting Imaged" there.

EggyAllenPoe · 15/04/2010 21:35

now 'who can throw most money at the armed forces'...

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 15/04/2010 21:35

Oh -I'm not an economist though.

Frizbe · 15/04/2010 21:36

Peabody, no she's not, I have tea and a scone
