I think they do not really have a point.
It is men like these who have dragged us into this shit show and these wars.
We were doing just fine de-arming. Because, let's face it, if you want a world that lives in peace and sorts issues in councils like the UN, talks, diplomatic negotiations ( you know, like adults..), you need to ditch the arms, so your neighbour does the same. It is Putin who has, solehandedly, put us back into spending billions in guns, weapons, ammunitions and the sort. Instead of investing it into green energy or research in medicine or infrastructure.
It is these guys mentality that weapons are a deterrant to attacks which hides the problem. On one hand, they do all this public talking and trashing of NATO and close "allies", purposely to undermine, severely, our safety under the umbrella of NATO. On the other hand, they sell weapons.
It is all a shitty sales technique. They stir problems, they make money selling weapons. Then stir a bit more over there, and get some minerals. Sell some drones over this side of the border, then tomorrow you have double the orders from the other side.
We really need to open our eyes and stop them from dragging us further down this lane, to our own grave.
Proof of it is that Europe and USA were the best of friends till Europe repaid the World Wars debt. Now, it seems, stirring the pot in Middle East is not yielding enough......
The only thing we can do now is invest in our own Intelligence and Security. Ditch US, bar diplomatically. We will still smile and shake hands.
