Whatever your political persuasion I bet I’m not alone in being glad that David Cameron is foreign secretary after the events of the weekend. Statesmanlike and articulate, hopefully he can get his de-escalation message across. Listening to him this morning he speaks so much better than Sunak or Starmer

No way this hasn't been written by David Cameron. Come on pal, we're not going to forget Brexit that easily.

BiggerBoat1 · 15/04/2024 15:53

I hold David Cameron personally responsible for the shitshow that is Brexit so her can fuck off to the far side of fucktown.

Shows how desperate the Tories are to have allowed him back in.

TTPD · 15/04/2024 16:05

Recent foreign secretaries have included Dominic Raab, Boris Johnson and Liz Truss, so Cameron seems very sensible in comparison (especially to Truss, who genuinely seems to lack a grip on reality).

But I don't find it him particularly impressive in isolation. Although he is a good speaker.

PoppingTomorrow · 15/04/2024 16:05

So in your view there is no better prospective foreign sec among all the Conservative MPs in the Commons? That's quite a damning indictment given Cameron got us into many of the messes were currently in.

SerendipityJane · 15/04/2024 16:07

Hurrah for unelected bureaucrats !

Oh, hang on ...

BiggerBoat1 · 15/04/2024 16:08

He's not even an elected MP. He had to be sneaked in via the Lords.

Stressyfab · 15/04/2024 16:09

Hi Dave 👋🏻

EasternStandard · 15/04/2024 16:11

Were you listening to Times radio by any chance?

I’ve noticed they really rate him on there

Westfacing · 15/04/2024 16:14

It says something about me I know but I can't bear to see his smug fat face and listen to his know it all tone of voice.

Yes he's better than his recent predecessors but that's a pretty low bar - the smug git.

checkedshirts · 15/04/2024 16:14

Hi SamCam 👋

In reality no, he's an unelected bureaucrat, not even capable of being in the HoC as he's not an MP and the person responsible for inflicting Brexit upon us.

(And he likes pigs, carnally, allegedly)

Retiredearly61 · 15/04/2024 16:15

Definitely not written by David Cameron. I blame him totally for Brexit. Just think he speaks well with authority and most of the current politicians dont

This sounds like something Dave would say.

senchildren · 15/04/2024 16:17

I bet he thought ‘hmmm 🤔 I’m just seen as someone who fucked a pig then fucked the whole country up with brexit 💡 I know! I’ll save us all from WW3!’

The fool gave us the vote for Brexit to keep his party happy. He is none of the things you describe OP.

fridaynightdinner12346 · 15/04/2024 16:18

😆😆 hi there Sam. Yep your hubby is still a plonker and as much use as a chocolate teapot. I cringed watching him on tv this morning.

senchildren · 15/04/2024 16:19

Dave the De escalator

LessonsinChemistryandLove · 15/04/2024 16:19

lol OP, I had a similar thought listening to him today. Then had to slap myself remember that he is a dickhead! I think we have just become so accustomed to the current shitshow that he sounds reasonable 🤣🤦‍♀️

Yes we need Boris live from the fridge of shame sending Israel a message to calm down

Dabralor · 15/04/2024 16:22

He can lay on the Statesman vibes for sure. That will be the Bullingdon Club in him.

But he's also fucking awful and ruined the country.

It's possible to be both these days.

Anjo2011 · 15/04/2024 16:24

He threw his toys out of the pram when he didn’t get his own way with Brexit. Walked away and left a complete shit show in his wake and was not accountable for any of his actions. What a bloody farce.

dontcallmelen · 15/04/2024 16:26

He is a cunt HTH.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 15/04/2024 16:36

What can I say, OP? It takes a real pig to fuck a dead one.

Comedycook · 15/04/2024 16:39

Yes I absolutely agree op and was saying the same to dh the other day. He is statesman like. The only adult in the room when it comes to our current government imo.

My next door neighbours dog would clear that bar. It's hardly aspirational.

Westfacing · 15/04/2024 16:46

So it's a NO to Cameron Grin
