I get that but the chances of being honoured as a civilian is quite slim. It’s mainly senior police officers, senior military officers and civil servant senior managers.
Most care worker and people who volunteer for all their lives don’t often get honoured.
Why should people like Nick Clegg, Priti Patel and Jacob Rees Mogg be honoured? What have they really done to deserve it? It’s just the cronies of Prime Ministers getting a favour. Remember Gavin Williamson? What a useless incompetent excuse of an MP. Yet he’s a Sir.
Just because we have a political honours system we’ve had for hundreds of years doesn’t mean we have to carry on with it. It’s outdated and corrupt.
