Rumour mill has it that she was stepping aside so that Boris could take on her seat as it has a much larger majority than his own. Wouldn’t put it past the conniving weasel to try and pull a stunt like that.

My thoughts are that there must be some v damning evidence to come out in the investigation into lockdown lying and rule breaking. .He is already trying to call it a witch hunt etc. .

She must be livid though at not bring made a dame though and rewarded for her adoration all this time. Bet Carrie had a hand in that !

It would be hilarious if he stands in Nadine's old seat and loses. But I suspect he won't risk it, he sets so much store on his election record - as demonstrated by his resignation statement.
