Longtime lurker first poster!

Let me start by saying I am no fan of Jeremy Corbyn by any stretch of the imagination. I think he’s too mild mannered and doesn’t really have any gravitas to speak of but can anyone here honestly say their life has gotten better over the last 9 years of Tory rule?? Youngest DS school class size has slowly got bigger, less support for learning teachers, less school trips and end of outdoor extracurricular activities. I think it’s absolutely shocking to see first hand and really upsetting that lots of kids nowadays are missing out on opportunities that my older kids had when they were in school.

Hospital waiting times have got longer and longer and local library’s and community centres are closing left right and centre. I never used to see so many homeless people on the streets either it’s so upsetting as we live in one of the richest countries in the world.

What I’m trying to get across is that although I’ve only ever voted for labour when Blair was in power and voted for the Lib Dem’s since, what have the tories ever actually done for normal working people? It seems like the whole country is going downhill and they are the only ones to blame as the responsibility lies at their door. I never in a million years would’ve thought I would vote for a socialist like Jeremy Corbyn but I don’t see any other option at this point. We’ve had 9 years of austerity and everything has gone to sh*t maybe we need to try something new. I’ve read their manifesto from the last election and a lot of the ideas were radical but would do a lot of good, just a shame it’s being presented by some less than charismatic politicians. That’s why I will reluctantly be voting labour in the next election

That's why I am going lib or green as there is no good options from either main party time we got a third that was more powerful

cyclingmad · 06/11/2019 22:50

When he says himself that he isn't a leader why would you want that type of pereson to lead a country? Bizarrre!

suzysweet · 10/11/2019 18:51

Yes, I really hope so. The ideas and vision Jeremy has for the future of our country really excites me. Reading through the manifesto and policies, I hope this time more than any other GE I’ve voted in that labour gets in with him as a leader. If you research the history of him as an MP and as a person, he has only ever fought for peace and tried to bring people together, fought for the underdog and really cared about people. If he wasn’t leader , I’m not sure I’d be voting at all as the rest of them are pretty useless. A labour and green alliance would probably be my ideal combination but I think that unlikely now. I really want JC to get the chance to make a difference as his vision is really a future I want for my children and future generations.

Hope not.
Voting for Boris of course. Only sensible course of action

Miketv3 · 11/11/2019 12:42

Farage latest move makes this even more unlikely.

CallmeAngelina · 11/11/2019 12:58

Oh dear God, please no!

paolo2143 · 12/11/2019 09:11

I would rather have Jeremy Corbyn any day over Boris Johnson who not only holds women in contempt but is willing to double cross anyone at a moments notice.

The fact that Donald Trump and Nigel farage think Boris Johnson is fit to run the Country should send shivers down any voters spines.

JediJim · 25/11/2019 16:12

I never thought I’d say this but Jeremy Corbyn does speak some sense.
I think he’s too marmite to win though.

SilverySurfer · 25/11/2019 22:12

No.

ilovetofu · 26/11/2019 14:07

Yes.

peachescariad · 26/11/2019 14:10

HELL NO WAY

Saltoftheearthmum · 28/11/2019 19:24

I pray he gets a majority but I would take any form of Jeremy Cornyn government. Can't stand the Tories or their Liberal little helpers

Treaclepie19 · 29/11/2019 19:10

I'm voting labour.
I seriously can't understand the thought behind voting for someone who has no clue about his own policies, has a manifesto with barely anything in it and insults everyone he meets. I'd be glad never to have Boris on tv again.

TheWashingMachine · 29/11/2019 19:39

I will be tactically voting Lib Dem, even though I'm not a fan. Corbyn is our local MP so it's unlikely to make any difference. I cannot bear the man.
