If the Tory Party really believes he is their answer then do they have any realisation that he is not the super popular star they seem to believe he is? Foreign Secretary! Well, well! Then remember the look of rabbit in the headlights after the Brexit result! Then Gough stating he was not up to the job. Mayor - think garden bridge! Surely, he is seen as the biggest wannabe in the Conservative Party. To be fair he can joke! That is dead useful! He has had a classical education which he uses liberally, especially when he is stuck for an answer! He can come out with remarks likely to insult without a thought. He is a loose cannon which is all we need when the chips are down and make no mistake they are down! If the Tories push him out for popular consumption then I feel it will be another colossal mistake. So Osborne back off with your revenge headlines - we know it's hard getting the sack!

"He's glib, shallow and vain. All he has is an amusing turn of phrase, a gift for self publicity, no sense of shame and powerful friends and family. He's a walking waste of an expensive education and in a meritocratic society he'd be a toilet attendant somewhere."

BoysOfMelody

You are not wrong!!!

ExplodedCloud · 12/06/2017 12:29

I think he's clever, not as clever as he'd like to think though, but lazy.

RufusTheRenegadeReindeer · 12/06/2017 12:30

Oh yes I completely agree with boys as well

Especially the stupid people thinking he is clever bit

Though stupid is a bit harsh

Beautifully put Smile

A friend of mine loves him and thinks he's fab. I think she'd be fine with him being PM. We tend to avoid talking about politics when we meet up Hmm

Oh dear, let's put our trust in the slobbering blithering idiot.
we're doomed I tell you, doomed.
It would be laughable if it wasn't so scary. Sad

paulapantsdown · 12/06/2017 12:41

He's my MP. His majority was reduced by 5k last week. Even the people who love him round these parts love him less than they did.

He is a mortifying embarrassment in my town, never mind the entire country.

Mistigri · 12/06/2017 15:09

He's a laughing stock in Europe. With brexit negotiations about to start, it would be a terrible time for a BoJo premiership.

Quodlibet · 12/06/2017 23:44

I don't think Boris would step in for the job actually. I think he's been aligning himself for a while but no one in their right minds would want to take over the Tory party now; it would be career suicide for whoever attempts to lead the party through Brexit. You couldn't see Boris for dust when the referendum result came in. He's playing the long game I think.

Boysofmelody ,You have said it as it is. Well done!

Where are the other Tory superstars? Hiding out in their navy suits, letting TM be the fall guy?
