My in laws, who are Jewish, believe he is. All their pals and relatives do too.

Friends with Hamas, they say.

Is he? I don't know what to think.

Horsemad JC being anti-Semitic has no correlation to the legality - and morality - of the Israeli state's actions. JC can be anti-Semitic AND the Israeli state can be behaving illegally under international law. There were also other people living on the land for an extremely long time too. I've certainly seen Palestinians referenced in museums dedicated to the history of the Jewish people.

And you are entitled to speak from your perspective, but what should I do with a Jewish friend (not a member of the groups you list) who tells me they don't believe he's anti-Semitic? Do I tell them you're more Jewish than them because you partake in community activities so I'm going to go with your opinion on their behalf?

You can see from my post below I think he's doing a crap job of not being anti-Semitic, if indeed he's not (so I think the evidence points to him being anti-Semitic). We agree from different angles. But I don't think that people lose their ability to think for themselves when they practice (or belong to) a religion. So your opinion is yours. You cannot represent all British Jews. The amount you practice your religion does not make your opinion more valuable in this matter, because anti-Semites don't distinguish between Jews.

Ok. First, I criticise the current Israeli government all the time. I'm not a fan of Netanyahu in any way shape or form. You are welcome to criticise him too. The problem is that Left wing (Corbynista) criticism comes in the form of Holocaust Inversion (see Diane Abbot interview for an example) and exclusive demonisation. Of course the Palestinians have lived there for 1,000 years. They are also the majority in Jordan. Israeli Arabs have the highest living standards, education and health of any Arabs in the Middle East. Does that make discrimination ok? Of course not! Is discrimination against a minority a uniquely Israeli thing? Of course not. It's still very wrong wherever it takes place. Just anecdotally, the most right wing of member of my family in Israel is a doctor. When my DD was ill while we were visiting, he called ' the smartest guy he knew' to diagnose her....an Israeli Arab doctor. The head nurse was also an Israeli Arab. The hospital paediatrics floor was pretty evenly divided too. The continuing situation in the West Bank sucks but until they stop 'negotiating ' with terrorism, nothing will change because Israelis will be too frightened to elect a government that doesn't respond with a clenched fist.
Tell your friend that I appreciate their ability to assume the best in human nature. Sadly, I've seen too much from Corbyn's 'friends' to give them any benefit of the doubt.
On your last point.... My DD was called a 'F*cking Jew' in the park. Involved with the community or not, when people in power who have influence over others and make it acceptable to hold racist views, hateful words follow and then hateful deeds. Corbyn's Quislings at JVL are only delaying the day that his 'friends' come for them.

Of course Corbyn is an anti-semite, anyone who thinks otherwise is actively deluding themselves.

The whole of the labour party is utterly rife with it. it's common knowledge.

A4710Rider

I think it has become patently clear that you have an axe to grind and it has nothing to do with anything other than alterior motives!
You are clearly working for someone! Clearly!
But be warned; you are committing a civil offence via defamation of character and you could be sued.
I hope you are!
Sincerely.

A4710Rider · 03/05/2018 15:35

Anyone whole calls Hamas "friends" as in the link provided is clearly an anti-semite.

There's your evidence buttercup.

He counts Hezbollah as "friends" this is a fact, he said that......

horsemadmom · 03/05/2018 15:52

Aphorism, I actually don't think you understand the meaning of any of the words you typed. But you proved my points very nicely.
Antisemites who take people to court for libel tend to loose. Because they are antisemites. See Lipstadt v Irving (and Irving loooooooves Corbyn).

horsemadmom · 03/05/2018 15:56

Oh, and I love the threat implied in your post. So, Corbyn isn't antisemitic but when he comes to power he'll take his revenge on his opponents? Do you read your posts as you type?

You sound like you're in some kind of cult, Aphorism.

It's not too late to get some help.

horsemadmom · 03/05/2018 17:32

What is truly terrifying is that the mechanisms of power in HM’s opposition are now controlled by that cult. For confirmation that antisemitism starts with Jews and then moves in to society at large, witness the hate that Corbynistas are pouring out on Sajid Javid.

Sometimes, you don't have to scratch the surface too hard.

Kornucopia · 03/05/2018 21:21

Why has a thread from nearly a year ago been resurrected?

Alltheprettyseahorses · 03/05/2018 21:33

Weird zombie update, even weirder poster. Reported anyway.

Kornucopia · 03/05/2018 21:39

Aphorism are you Diane Abbott?!!

horsemadmom · 03/05/2018 21:57

MNHQ, Please don't delete Aphorism. She's a perfect example of antisemitism. She has displayed almost every example in the IHRC definition with the exception of playground slurs - far better than any description I could write!

A4710Rider · 04/05/2018 11:56

Thankfully it looks as though a large portion of the UK's population have gone against Labour's anti semitism.

Twinkie1 · 04/05/2018 12:04

If you know something is going on something that is wrong and you're in a position of power to stop it and take those responsible to task and you don't you're either complicit or a weak fucker.

Why is the the party not acting against Chakrabati (sp?) for her complete whitewash of the report into anti semitism in the Labour Party also?

horsemadmom · 04/05/2018 12:10

Shami did what she was hired by Corbyn to do. Feldman and Royall had their names removed from the report when it was obvious that she was writing a whitewash. I hope her ermine itches.

A4710Rider · 04/05/2018 12:50

Could you imagine the utter chaos if the Tory party had the same under currents of islamophobia as the Labour party have with anti-semetism?

It really does leave me head scratching as to why the Labour party have gotten away with their behaviour for so long.

RhythmStix · 19/07/2018 23:12

Where is your proof?
It's a slur. Corbyn dares to call out Netanyahu on Israel's evil and illegal occupation. Why shouldn't he? Why is that 'anti semitic?
Now Israel has passed new laws relegating Arabic and officially defining Israel as a country for Jews. Apartheid. Racism. Yet you dare to call Corbyn out? The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
