More on Trump

It is a Trump world and as the Modi saying goes

“Aab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar”

and as the Stump for Trump Sisters say

"Get on the Trump Train or get the hell out of the way"

Rock'n'roll

Loads of male posters post on mumsnet. Just because we don't all automatically agree with them doesn't mean we are censoring them. Any actual examples Misss? Or are you doing that thing again....

Missswatch · 20/12/2016 13:47

I must be doing that thing again squishy

squishysquirmy · 20/12/2016 13:49

That thing where you make a bullshit statement and then demand that we trawl through the internet/mumsnet ourselves to find the non-existent evidence that proves your point.

Missswatch · 20/12/2016 13:50

Non existent evidence? Like I said, denial is a powerful tool

squishysquirmy · 20/12/2016 13:50

Unicorns are destroying Christmas!
Why don't you look at the historical evidence online if you don''t believe me Misss. You'd better get cracking, it's a big internet.

squishysquirmy · 20/12/2016 13:53

If you say Trump in the mirror three times he reaches out and sucks you into an internet based hell, where you are compelled to write endlessly repetitive pro-Trump posts on parenting forums.

Don't believe me? Go find the evidence yourself.

' don't ever "demand" answers'

I have seen lots of posts by you asking people again and again to answer some minor inconsequential point when they are trying to discuss something more important. I actually answer you requests of points going back more than a day ago, but some people can't be bothered and I get that.

'I do occasionally draw attention to points you or others are ignoring and on which it would be helpful to the discussion to have a response.'

That's fine but if they don't answer after several requests then maybe they don't think it is important enough or clever enough and is a distraction.

BertrandRussell is not as bright as her moniker suggests and therefore can seemingly only contribute by asking Southallgirl, who is as bright as they come, the same one question

"What is it exactly that you would like to say but feel you aren't allowed to by political correctness?"

That is as if one of the Oxbridge BBC journalists wasted time by asking Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, who said "I refuse to be politically correct"

"BBC here, Mr President. What is it exactly that you would like to say but feel you aren't allowed to by political correctness?"

This thread is not a BBC Newsnight show, there is serious political debate here.

Donald Trump can say whatever the hell he likes because he is President of the United States.

Rock'n'roll

'And when you deliberately attack someone and lie about them, how on earth is it hectoring or bullying to ask you to withdraw and apologise?'

What has it got to do with you?

'If you are unpleasant about them, they are entitled to defend themselves. You really need to learn to live with it.'

But I am not unpleasant about them. I remain lighthearted throughout all the attacks made on me. That is why I am still here after all these years and all these threads, because

"they will not control us
we will be victorious"

they will never take my free speech.

The ghost of George Orwell will be dueting with the ghost of Victor Hugo at Trumps inauguration.

Don't believe me Miss? Better get searching for the evidence that proves me right, and stop denying things for which there is zero evidence.

Kaija · 20/12/2016 13:57

Perhaps those points that you regard as minor and inconsequential may not be so to others, Claig.

Now what was it you wanted to say that political correctness prevents?

Kaija · 20/12/2016 14:00

It is marvellously ironic that Claig now has a bee in his bonnet about other posters being repetitious.

BertrandRussell · 20/12/2016 14:01

Southallgirl- I am still waiting for you to tell me what it is that I want to say that I can't because of political correctness.

Lweji · 20/12/2016 14:05

I have seen lots of posts by you asking people again and again to answer some minor inconsequential point when they are trying to discuss something more important.

Funny that.
When you (and others) reply with silly comments to the minor inconsequential parts of a serious post. And totally ignore the main points.

And by the way, what are the minor points that overtake the major points?

Is it something like asking for what is it that we can't say when you claim that we can't say what we want?
Or asking if there is such a great global elite conspiracy, which you gave as example claiming there were WMD in Iraq, why didn't they pretend they had found those WMD?

It's not our fault that your claims are faulty, and largely baseless.

claig · 20/12/2016 14:06

'Claig now has a bee in his bonnet '

I am not a 'he'

'Now what was it you wanted to say that political correctness prevents?'

I have told you that political correctness has prevented Germaine Greer being able to express her opinions on transgender issues at universities. I think that is bad for freedom of speech and is only the start of what our political masters will do when they bring in a Big Brother system.

OP posts:
claig · 20/12/2016 14:08

'And by the way, what are the minor points that overtake the major points?'

Go back and look at DeepAnd's posts, there are lots there. I actually do spend time answering them and then get abused for it Smile

OP posts:
Kaija · 20/12/2016 14:10

I am asking what it prevents you from saying, not about whether Germaine Greer is invited to speak at one institution or another.

And I am more than happy to use your preferred pronoun - he/she/they/ze - just specify. I had thought from some of your earlier posts that you weren't so bothered about that sort of thing, but just say the word.

claig · 20/12/2016 14:12

'Or asking if there is such a great global elite conspiracy, which you gave as example claiming there were WMD in Iraq, why didn't they pretend they had found those WMD?'

Yes I saw that post by you and it is a fascinating question and gets close to the heart of how the system works. But I didn't answer that one, as this is a Trump thread, and because it is a huge subject and if I explained it to you then you wouldn't believe me anyway and would just make more snide remarks, so I felt there was no point getting into that fascinating topic as it would just lead to a cul-de-sac and a long one at that.

There is lots of point scoring and I can't be bothered to answer every non Trump related point and explain how it works just to be sneered at in the end

OP posts:
claig · 20/12/2016 14:17

'I am asking what it prevents you from saying, not about whether Germaine Greer is invited to speak at one institution or another.'

What a clever question, as I have come to expect fro Kaija.

It doesn't prevent me saying anything because I am like Trump, I don't like Blair and his Oxbridge band so I will never let them take my free speech, but I care about the rights of Germaine Greer to say what she likes because it is a slippery slope and more and more people will gradually be stopped saying what they like and that is a bad thing because then the "very, very stupid" Oxbridge idiots (the Intellectual Yet Idiots) will be able to have free rein to ruin the people's lives and no one will be able to protest and say that Blair has no clothes.

OP posts:
claig · 20/12/2016 14:19

'And I am more than happy to use your preferred pronoun - he/she/they/ze - just specify. '

Just "she" would be polite, if you have that capability.

OP posts:
Lweji · 20/12/2016 14:22

'Now what was it you wanted to say that political correctness prevents?'

OK, we understand that you, claig, do have a bee in the bonnet about Germaine Greer.

So, there were protests before she spoke at Cardiff University, but she still gave her speech.
So, it looks that for the most part, freedom of speech is alive and well.

She did speak at Cambridge Union Society, despite protests.

Her views have been presented and discussed widely in our society. Universities or Unions are at liberty to choose who they want to invite to speak.
The London Evolutionary Research Network won't invite a creationist to talk, as a creationist group won't invite Richard Dawkins. It's not silencing or enforcing politically correct speech.

So where is the silencing?

And will you give up on Germaine Greer?

So, getting back on track:
'Now what was it you wanted to say that political correctness prevents?'

Lweji · 20/12/2016 14:25

BTW, this is what you had said
I have told you that political correctness has prevented Germaine Greer being able to express her opinions on transgender issues at universities.

So, was she actually prevented from expressing those views? Because I couldn't find anything.

derxa · 20/12/2016 14:25

'Now what was it you wanted to say that political correctness prevents?'

Don't go there claig It's a trap. Grin

claig · 20/12/2016 14:30

'OK, we understand that you, claig, do have a bee in the bonnet about Germaine Greer.'

Another snide remark. I care about free speech for Germaine Greer, Julie Bindel, Nigel Farage and anyone else even though I disagree with some things that Germaine Greer says or Julie Bindel says or Nigel Farage says, because it is not about me or a "bee in my bonnet", it is about other people having teh right to be free which then ensures that I will always be free too so that they will never control us and we will always be victorious.

"So where is the silencing?
And will you give up on Germaine Greer?"

If you can't understand the pressure that a legend such as Germaine Greer has been under, a woman who is a towering figure of the 20th century, a woman who influenced and changed the world, and then these politically correct nobodies decide what she can say and she slowly becomes ostracised because her views no longer "fit" with the powers that be, then it is a waste of my time to spend hours explaining it to you only to be told I have a "bee in my bonnet" because I care about freedom for all of us, even for you to make your snide remarks while the Blairites strip all our freedoms away.

OP posts:
claig · 20/12/2016 14:32

'Don't go there claig It's a trap.'

Exactly, derxa. That is all they have - point scoring traps and tricks

They don't like the truth, they don't like Trump, but we won

OP posts:
Lweji · 20/12/2016 14:33

So, you're skipping over the fact that you said Germaine Greer had been prevented from speaking, effectively silenced, when, in fact, she was not.

BertrandRussell · 20/12/2016 14:35

Just to let you know that it was me who has been reported. And I have been warned by MNHQ for goading Southallgirl
