Who are you minded to vote for? How have you decided?

Leader & deputy leader.
I can't make up my mind. The commentators seem to say things about each candidate that are quite different from the impressions I get.

OP posts:
claig · 03/09/2015 20:42

Sky full-time poll
"Who do you think won the debate?"

Corbyn 80.6%
Kendall 9.1%
Cooper 5.7%
Burnham 4.6%

Andy Burnham came out badly. Surprising, as I thought he and Liz were about even and Cooper was the worst.

squidzin · 03/09/2015 20:43

HamaTime
I'd be worried if u haven't got yours yet. I voted online.

Contact the labour party registry and check your details are on the electoral register.

orangeyellowgreen · 03/09/2015 20:45

Have any £3 supporters had their e mail ballot yet? Anyone know when we will get to vote?

claig · 03/09/2015 20:48

Final Sky full-time poll
"Who do you think won the debate?"

Corbyn 84.3%
Kendall 7.8%
Cooper 2.9%
Burnham 4.9%

Desperate for Yvette. The Labour spin doctor pundits said it was a defining moment when Yvette showed "leadership" and "passion" in taking Corbyn on at the end, but obviously the voters don't think like the Labour spin doctors. It was desperate, pleading and almost as if she had been advised to throw everything she had at Corbyn in a last mad dash to cross the winning line.

squidzin · 03/09/2015 20:50

You should be hearing back soon.
I heared back after a couple of days and was able to vote online.

My housemate was rejected after a few days even though she is more Labour than Liz Kendall. Random.

BlahBlahUsername · 03/09/2015 20:54

How are people told they are rejected, by email? I voted online a few days ago. I'm not a member of any other party.

I must have mistakenly signed up at another level of membership because they've taken a tenner out of my account.

gingercat12 · 03/09/2015 21:03

Corbyn can expect a free subscription to The Sun from Mr Murdoch.

I love when a woman is called whiney and desperate while a man is statesman like when he does not even understand the question.

squidzin · 03/09/2015 21:04

Yeah, email.
Ha a tenner! You must have joined as a full member rather than £3 supporter. Great for the cause though ?

claig · 03/09/2015 21:05

I think Yvette is whiney, pleading and desperate and so is Burnham. Liz isn't and nor is Corbyn. But I am not a Labour spin doctor, I agree with the verdict of the Sky poll voters.

squidzin · 03/09/2015 21:06

Corbyn is called plenty of derogatory things did u not notice. All politicians are.

claig · 03/09/2015 21:08

The Tories will trounce Yvette and most probably trounce Burnham. Liz is unlikely to win, and Corbyn is the only one who can challenge the Tories as he fundamentally disagrees with them and is not Tory-lite.

claig · 03/09/2015 21:13

Get ready for the BBC to find another focus group who think that Yvette is a better candidate than Corbyn. As we enter the final week, the Establishment will get desperate and the media will say Yvette done great even though the Sky poll voters had her coming last.

BlahBlahUsername · 03/09/2015 22:01

Oops, I'm not that politically active. I'll have to adjust that at some point. I don't want to right now though in case I'm flagged up as suspicious!

godsavethequeeeen · 03/09/2015 22:05

Marking my place because I keep forgetting to vote. My kitchen work surface has a pile with an awful lot of red paperwork in it.

Redkite2015 · 05/09/2015 08:08

Vote today and get over it. Computers do crash under last minutes rush.

firefly78 · 05/09/2015 08:10

when will the results be announced?

Redkite2015 · 05/09/2015 08:11

Being anti-Blairs is not being anti-Labour, but that's what Labour HQ thinks as they reject many of the Labour supporters.

squidzin · 05/09/2015 08:14

Announced on the 12th Sep.

BlahBlahUsername · 05/09/2015 11:37

I have got to downgrade my membership . The emails, the letters, the phonecalls, and now two people have just arrived on my doorstep to welcome me to the party, and ask about any issues I have. It was a late night for me and I was still in my pajamas!

claig · 05/09/2015 11:47

'two people have just arrived on my doorstep to welcome me to the party, and ask about any issues I have'

Did they look like heavies or doormen at the local rowdy nightclub? Sounds like they may have been "Blairites" sent by the Establishment to discuss "issues" i.e. whether you agreed with Corbyn and not with the Establishment. Did you tell them to take a hike? Apparently that is what the majority of Labour members have been saying to them. They know they are losing, it may turn ugly the more desperate they get.

BlahBlahUsername · 05/09/2015 11:56

Grin They seemed nice, but I noticed one raised his eyebrows when I mentioned joining because I was interested in Corbyn as leader. I don't know if it was positive or negative eyebrow raising...

claig · 05/09/2015 12:03

'I noticed one raised his eyebrows when I mentioned joining because I was interested in Corbyn as leader'

You are lucky that was the only reaction. There have been reports that some of these "Blairite" welcoming committees have been know to lose it at the mention of the word Corbyn or Clause IV. Some have even frothed at the mouth at the mention of People's QE (lucky you didn't bring that up, that is an Establishment no no, a red line), so great has the Establishment brainwashing been. You saw how Yvette attacked Corbyn relentlessly and almost as if she had lost it (if she had ever had it) on the issue of People's QE.

Sounds like you had a lucky escape. Keep your eyes peeled in case the "Blairites" return and if they do, I personally wouldn't answer the door to them.

Redkite2015 · 06/09/2015 06:30

Tory lite Blairites are blaming rule changes for allowing back bencher JC to surge forward.

Are not the previous rules were holding back the person most Labour members and supporters were willing to be their Leader?

Labour rules seems to have been made to keep members aspirations and views in check. Great that Ed Miliband made the changes. That's his legacy. Wink

squidzin · 06/09/2015 06:52

They changed the leadership voting system ahead of Ed's resignation.

Why? To opress the influence of Trade Union members on the leadership outcome, in other words Corbyn's lot.
Hahahahaha

Redkite2015 · 10/09/2015 11:21

Hope that none of the four candidates becomes a bad loser.
