Well who?

Was just pondering on the aftermath of May 7th. Ed looks likely to win but no one, not even his own supporters, voters, party likes him.

So thinking of the UK constitution there is nothing to stop the Labour Party replacing him with another leader and providing us with an alternative prime minister.

The ones who ran last time had their chance so who does that leave?

Harriet Harman
Yvette Cooper
Chuka Umuna (sp?)
Jim Murphy??

Thanks.

My next question! But will it be increasingly a properly Scottish Labour party separate from London HQ? It sounds like the "branch office" feeling rankled.

I really did not want Ed to go did he have to ? Do they ever keep a leader when they have lost an election . I still think he is the best one for the job. What's the point of all the experience he had gained .it was events that lost labour the election with the migrant crisis and the rise of Ukip and the rise of the SNP .

I can only think of Heath and Wilson as leaders who stayed on when they lost elections. There must be others?

Oh yes my mom really liked Edward Heath and she was a labour voter so he must have had charisma .
