Boris has made london a much cleaner place, he cares about London, and doesn't waste money on stupid projects.
He's got my vote.

No - put UKIP first, with Boris 2nd pref.

Boris is far too wet to be a real Tory - he disagrees with the £26k benefits cap, he wants an amnesty for illegal immigrants, he goes on and on like a dyed-in-the-wool Keynesian about "stimulus" for London, and apart from freezing council tax, all of his signature achievements have required large dollops of public spending.

I will give him my 2nd preference but only grudgingly.

Karmalady · 02/05/2012 05:57

Vote for Boris?

Why?

He's an expensive joke, lacks principles, and has done nothing about the real issues in London.

No chance of getting my vote, and I hope he gets defeated.

Iggly · 02/05/2012 06:13

Pollution has gone up under Boris.

Hardly any affordable housing has been built under Boris

I'm not a cyclist so not fussed about the bike scheme

There are plenty of people to vote for other than Boris or Ken. I've voted for neither!

chipstick10 · 02/05/2012 07:17

Count me in.

ironman · 02/05/2012 18:51

Boris will get my second vote, UKIP first. Unfortunately Boris has not got a grip, as regards knife crime in the capital. It is the most frightening thing about living in London with young children as I do.

Ken is far to divisive, and with comments like "I will make London a beacon for Islam' and "all jews are rich". He would certainly not get my vote. Also he's always been a crackpot!

I think whoever gets in should have a year to tackle crime and if it does not come down, we should be able to sack him/her.

chipstick10 · 02/05/2012 19:33

I didnt like Kens comment re the Tory party are "riddled with gays" as though its a disease. It was passed off with wry smiles and "oh you know Ken, hes joking"

SoupDragon · 02/05/2012 19:35

He is a complete buffoon and an idiot.

ifeelloved · 02/05/2012 19:35

Really??? Boris????

ifeelloved · 02/05/2012 19:35

That was to op btw, I agree with soupdragon

QuintessentialShadows · 02/05/2012 19:37

What is a better alternative?

My 10 year old son came back from school today telling me we should vote for Boris.

motherinferior · 02/05/2012 19:42

Thanks, sweetie, but I've loathed Boris ever since I used to see him in the Bodleian Library at Oxford in his I Heart Maggie badge, and I'm not going to change now.

SoupDragon · 02/05/2012 19:42

My 13 year old watched him being interviews on some news programme or other this week and said "That man is an idiot"

InnitDoh · 02/05/2012 19:43

Ha. Not a bloody chance I will vote for that buffoon.

SoupDragon · 02/05/2012 19:49

What makes you think Boris cares about London and not just about Boris? I honestly don't think he gives a damn about the city beyond the fact that it's his "job".

ifeelloved · 02/05/2012 20:03

Soup - you're ds is very bright Grin

InnitDoh · 02/05/2012 20:12

What has BoJo done for young people in this city? Precisely zilch. He has a shocking track record.

I am not a big fan of Ken, but I will vote for him in the hope it will get BoJo out. Doubt it, though. Not enough people get out and vote, very few people bothered to research the issues.

claig · 02/05/2012 20:13

'My 13 year old watched him being interviews on some news programme or other this week and said "That man is an idiot"'

Soup, I thought that interviewer was an idiot too.

SoupDragon · 02/05/2012 21:47

He wasn't talking about the interviewer.

ifeelloved · 02/05/2012 21:47
Grin
pinguwings · 02/05/2012 21:51

No.

Stokey38 · 02/05/2012 21:52

And let's not forget how Boris didn't even think the riots in Tottenham important enough for him to fly back from his holiday. He does real Londoners no favours. The increase in travel is shocking and I doubt he has ever even ventured outside of Zone 3!

southeastastra · 02/05/2012 21:55

he's such an embarassing figure, not good as a figurehead for london, best kept to the publicity department when they want someone a bit loopy to represent something in london, like a massive space hop across the wobbly bridge, nothing more taxing

Nancy66 · 03/05/2012 10:37

Ken is a crook - i couldn't possibly vote for him.

Paddick is a bit thick

so will be Boris for me

littleducks · 03/05/2012 10:45

I dont know who to vote for.....

Nothing really appeals

JosephineCD · 03/05/2012 11:31

I would vote for Boris if I lived in London. Ken is a dangerous man.
