MrsCadwaller I'm alright, I ended up at the emergency Docs early Sunday morning as I woke up with shooting pains low down in my tummy. They said it was probably nothing, but I'm going to the EPAU tomorrow morning to be checked over. I feel that it will be fine, but there's still that little part of you that worries isn't there.

I'm finding that Psalm 91v4 is coming to my mind today though.

'He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor'

I love Psalm 91, it's helped me through many a bad time.

PositiveAttitude · 08/03/2010 14:17

Prayers all round.

Lovely to be reminded of that beautiful song, especially during a frantic day at work. (hmm yes, clicked on MN at work, naughty, naughty, but if I had time for a lunch break it would be during that.......) Thanks anyway!

BlueEyeshadow · 08/03/2010 14:27

Praying!

We're still plodding on. DS2's sleep comes and goes with good and bad nights at the moment. Yesterday evening we gave up and brought him downstairs where he dropped off instantly. So now I'm not sure whether we need prayer for him, or for us, or for inspiration about how to help him! Probably all of the above. Thank you.

teaandcakeplease · 08/03/2010 14:34

WM - oohh the song is going round in my head now. Reminds me of sitting by my mum and dad when just a girl at my old church I grew up in. Happy memories!

MrsC - I think I did mean to also use the extra time with God but never said it out loud. Oh the shame! I am getting sent the challenge 2010 verse everyday to read, learn and pray. But am sadly lacking in general use of lent apart from that and not going on fb. Although it is making me pick up the phone and call my friends! Instead of just touching base virtually.

Amber, Mary, Hermya and Debka's mum lifting up these things in prayer to the big man (as I call him).

My hubby and I have been separated since end of October which has been very tricky on my 2 LO's. He is getting counseling but is very lost and it's a difficult time for me and especially my daughter who is so young and doesn't understand why Daddy isn't living with us anymore and often says "daddy gone, daddy lost". So prayers would be great ladies. I did put a thread on MN a few weeks ago asking for advice but most people said I should leave him . But a lot of the prophetic words given to me lately have brought me hope that maybe we will be reconciled and he will come back to me and kids. He is so lost, he has lost his way in the last year.

PositiveAttitude · 09/03/2010 10:55

Just sliding on in my tea break. Just wanted to give you a quick up-date with the young minister. Heard yesterday that he is doing really well. The doctors are confident that all the brain tumour has been removed successfully and he will be having radiotherapy to zap any stray missiles! Thank You God.
Thanks for the prayers, and please keep prying for a full recovery and for peace for him and his wife.

Thank you x

debka · 09/03/2010 11:30

Just want to say teaandcakeplease I'll be praying for your DH, mine is not doing so well either so I can understand a little. It is so hard when you believe in your marriage but it's not going according to plan.

MaryBS · 09/03/2010 12:37

Praise God, PA! I also want to praise God for a Godincidence which has really helped alter my perception on a situation. Thank you God!

CaptainDippy · 09/03/2010 15:45

Wonderful news PA

So hard for you and your little one's MTACP. Prayers for you all. Marriage is hard.

Thank you for all your prayers, I went to the EPU and had a scan. Everything seems fine and dandy. I have a little jellybean shaped blob with a heartbeat. Can't really say fairer than that can you.

Praise God!!!

DutchOma · 09/03/2010 16:09

Praise God indeed Hermya. How relieved you must been.

Just wanted to say hello. Been away from MN for a while.

Update: I am happy. Things ended with hubby, He is divorsing me in November, totally addicted again to the heroin. Not good and hard sometimes I have made my peace with it now I think.

Hope everyone is ok. Will have a proper read through later but cloudexplosion just wanted to say prayers for you. Not sure whats wrong but praying for whatever you are struggling with that you be given the strength to cope. He will never put us through anything that we cant handle. Hard to remember i know in hard times but cling on to that promise!

MrsCadwallader · 10/03/2010 06:00

cloudexplosion I've just seen and responded to your other thread. Prayers for you.

weegiemum · 10/03/2010 06:50

Update - my friend S has had her operation for first stage breast cancer, the surgeon was very upbeat, she gets the pathology results next week but it is looking good for now.

Prayers please for M, my MILs next-door-neighbour, who is in ITU with severe double pneumonia and not expected to make it. SHe's 60, and the matriarch of a fabulous extended family - they are all going to struggle.

I'm just getting over a nasty kidney infection - was hoping for a good night's sleep and have been up most of it with dd2 who was complaining of tummy pains - she was finally spectacularly sick (luckily in the bathroom, so wipeable!) at 5am. I could have done with a couple of days of convalescence!

DutchOma · 10/03/2010 08:33

cloudexplosion I have read your other thread too. Nothing sensible to add apart from the fact that prayer is very powerful in these situations and I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be praying for you when you need it most.
Let us know how you get on at the doctors'

amberlight · 10/03/2010 09:41

Prayers continuing...

madhairday · 10/03/2010 13:21

Please can you pray for my baby niece. she was rushed into hospital yesterday with a bone infection. She is doing OK but in quite a lot of pain.

MaryBS · 10/03/2010 18:11

Praying MHD. Let us know how it goes please.

Prayers for DS please. I've just had to bring him home from cubs, because something really upset him there, and he kept trying to leave and come home. I'm not sure if I'll ever get him to go back, and this is one of the few social activities he does

teaandcakeplease · 10/03/2010 19:12

I don't know whether it was just me whilst praying weegiemum but I got a picture of an angel standing beside the bed of the lady (M) who's the next door neighbour of your MIL. Really felt like God was with her.

Also when praying for the baby niece of MHD I had the scripture John 4:18 going through my head. I felt that God was filling her with his love so even though little, she wouldn't be afraid.

Could just be me though, but felt I should let you know.

Praying for MaryBS DS too x

madhairday · 10/03/2010 19:35

Thankyou so much teaandcake. I assume you mean 1 John 4:18? That's a lovely passage and lovely to think God is taking away her fear.
I haven't had an update yet but waiting.

MrsCadwallader · 10/03/2010 19:37

Prayers for all.

Prayers for my DS2 (aged 5) again, too please. We have had problems on and off with him being aggressive and lashing out at his brothers. This week has been quite bad again, with him scratching DS3 on Monday after school, and this evening biting him

I feel like he is sometimes just a very mixed up little boy who struggles to find positive ways to manage his feelings at the best of times, but it's made worse by his position in the family, squashed between a highly competent, rule-abiding and popular older brother, and an independent, feisty and still-small-enough-for-everyone-to-think-he's-adorable younger brother! So prayers please that he will find his own strength independently of the others, and his own sense of a place in the world. Also prayers for DH and I as we try to guide him (at the moment I just feel like I am failing the poor boy! )

Thank you.

teaandcakeplease · 10/03/2010 19:37
