isenhart7 · 13/04/2009 16:41

Question:

"blood curling"- is this another of Steiner's anthroposophical beliefs?

Answer:

Not that I know of-I think it may be an American slang:

bloodcurling

adjective. makes your blood curl in fright.
He let out a bloodcurling scream

Isenhart, go and see a doctor.
And while you're at it get the rest of your movement to as well.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 16:48

Oh dear

nevergoogledragonbutter · 13/04/2009 16:52

i actually had a very intelligent discussion with a somebody who previously had very strong beliefs regarding steiner and now isn't so sure.
it was a good conversation and didn't get as mental as conversations do on here.
shame.
too may extreme types here.

isenhart7 · 13/04/2009 16:59

Bloodcurling-an interesting thought-now that I think of it-the concept that a sound or tone would/could have an effect on one's blood. You don't have this expression in the UK? Well, as the saying goes then-only in America!!!

nevergoogledragonbutter, I understand what you mean by the 'extreme types' statement, I would add that its extreme experiences that has been the case for many of us and our children that has caused the distress and outrage that you see on the other threads.

Barking · 13/04/2009 17:07

Isenhart, what are you doing by starting a thread asking what anthroposophy is when you are heavily involved in anthroposophy and the media campaign to promote Steiner Waldorf schools in America?

JuxaLOTmoreChocolate · 13/04/2009 17:22

Isenhart7 we do have the expression in the UK only we spell it correctly ie blood curdling, in that something curdles your blood.

isenhart7 · 13/04/2009 17:28

Juxa-I have heard that as well-but I have heard them both-curling and curdling. Could be the younger generation is dropping the 'd'. I shall look into it.

Barking-wasn't my question-only my answer I started the thread with.

Barking · 13/04/2009 17:34

But Isenhart as I've just said, you have started a thread asking other posters about anthroposophy, when you are already an anthroposophist.

I think it's only fair that you are upfront about this, like your movement should be.

Or are you are playing more mind games?

Or are you genuinely not well?

LuluisgoingtobeanAunty · 13/04/2009 17:37

what has anthrosophy got to do with teh OP?

and it is bloodcurdling, not curling

littlelamb · 13/04/2009 17:39

Oh parp
ANd I know your name is Isenhart not Isengard but frankly, it's close enough and it amuses me so
any excuse

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 17:41

pssst lulu I think the OP is one of them y'know erm steiner-types

Barking · 13/04/2009 17:47

Thanks littlelamb,
Here's a song you may want to sing while partaking on a Steiner thread Tinfoil hat song

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 17:53

That is brilliant Littlelamb

LuluisgoingtobeanAunty · 13/04/2009 17:54

thanks BALD.

isenhart7 · 13/04/2009 17:58

Barking-what question have I asked other posters that is about anthroposophy? (Other than the opening quesyion, which, once again, I cannot take credit for.)The question that I asked is, "do you have this expression in the UK" Apparently, you do not but do use bloodcurdling. Bloodcurling appears, to me, to be a slang term used in America, as I did find it's definition and I have heard it used.

OP posts:
BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 18:02

What ARE you on?

Your posts make no sense.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 18:04

You start a thread entitled 'Anthroposophy-WTF?' and then your OP is this :

'Question:

"blood curling"- is this another of Steiner's anthroposophical beliefs?

Answer:

Not that I know of-I think it may be an American slang:

bloodcurling

adjective. makes your blood curl in fright.
He let out a bloodcurling scream '

I mean, what ?

JuxaLOTmoreChocolate · 13/04/2009 18:05

Great links, Barking and littlelamb

DisasterEggs · 13/04/2009 18:06

is it not blood curdling?

i.e to curdle the blood. like cheese?

JuxaLOTmoreChocolate · 13/04/2009 18:07

DE, yes it is.

I suspect that OP is following some weird nonsensical agenda which only fellow anthroposophists will understand. Just enjoy the links and ignore the rest.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/04/2009 18:11

oooh Jux do you think they are doing something like that Kit Williams' Masquerade ??

isenhart7 · 13/04/2009 18:12

Well then perhaps you don't have WTF? as a general expression in England either. So sorry. Really.

OP posts:
LuluisgoingtobeanAunty · 13/04/2009 18:12

what has anthroposophy got to to with bloodcurdling? am truly baffled

northernrefugee39 · 13/04/2009 18:13
