Prayers of Praise indeed for your lad.

Very happy with mine yesterday too - came home with an A* for his English (this from a lad who is dyslexic and whose last school told him he had no chance of getting more than a C for his work!)

Prayers for everyone as I read through

My brother might be going to Iraq again. He is with the Red Cross, I can't believe he is considering it. Last time he went, his now 9yo son had SERIOUS SERIOUS problems with his being out there. Don't have any more details apart from it'd be after Christmas.

CaptainDippy · 06/11/2008 20:07

Oh mary sorry. Maybe he feels it is just something he has to do right now.

sorry for not saying but the cat did come back, went to pick dd up from her mc job and when we pulled on drive she came running -bless - she doesn't seem bothered so either she found somewhere to hide or she was just off having an adventure.

Don't ask whati'm doing up at this time of morning. Was absolutely hanging last night, had session of CBT yesterday which I just sobbed all the way through to the point of her saying I dont know if i'm doing you any good, this seems so traumatic for you.

Feel like someone has thrown me back in that abess again. I'm scare stiff because its that time of year and is this going to be me for the whole of the winter.

Feel that the counsellor I saw on Tues is the person that could really sort me out butdon't know if she could as sheis the person who does the initial contact then refers on.

I feel selfish because there are plenty of people worse off than me. my stomach is in knots. Maybe they would all be better off without me! At least then I couldn;t make thier lives miserable as well as mine could i. What on earth am I on about none of it makes sense.

notsofarnow · 07/11/2008 06:27

can't belive maybe dropped off at 5.30ish tn woke dreaming about xdh. Right am off to work now brill not on only a few hours sleep.

amber32002 · 07/11/2008 07:45

NSFN, praying for you. A thought - have you ever tried getting one of those light boxes that you can put next to the computer and they mimic it being proper spring daylight? They sometimes work wonders for anyone who finds the dark winter months difficult to get through. Sounds like you could do with a large cup of something and a virtual hug. As for people being better off without you, well, I wouldn't want you to not be here. I'm sure the rest of the people in your life wouldn't think that you should go either. It's worth telling your doc how you're feeling right now - they may be able to do something to give you a bit of a boost through this bit...you must be absolutely exhausted?

Mary, so sad to hear about your brother. Shall pray for the situation.

Prayers for everyone else too...

CaptainDippy · 07/11/2008 11:05

My computer is playing silly buggers this morning, so popping by quickly (wile it is letting me) to give nsfn & assure you of my thoughts & prayers. We are all here for you sweetie. xx

Right have just about survived day. Went to speak to my manager and blubbed for half hour, she said I knew as soon as I looked at you this morning. Also everyone else noticed too. Flipping nightmare. why can't I just suffer in silence without having a face that gives it all away.

Have just raged at dd1 and 2 they are just compulsive liars it does my head in.

MaryBS · 07/11/2008 19:54

Praying, NSFN...

Hi there. I am regular mumsnetter and a christian but rubbish at being well known on any particular threads. would you mind praying for the nanny i have one day per week please? I'll call her penny. she is a christian who lost her mum just before she had her dd, 2 years ago. anyway money is v v v v tight for them- counting the pennies each month etc. now today she found out her husband has lost his job. they need him to get another one or there will be all sorts of issues. her husband is not a christna. poor penny. God always meets our needs and never lets us down. She trusts in Him to provide. I trust in Him for her. Clearly we will step in where we can. but pls can you pray for a job for her. there is one outstanding interview that hasnt responded yet so raying that turns positive would be great. Many many thanks.

DutchOma · 07/11/2008 21:37

cd you are both under pressure - can't you go and do something nice together. Get out photos of when you were happy - I dunno wedding pics and remember together what you first saw in each other, what brought you together. Rekindle that first love.

You have come through so much together - you can do this.

nowwearefour · 08/11/2008 09:04

Hi. Well i have two dds and a wonderful DH. I work 2 days a week. Dds are 3 and 1. Hard work but great! I have been a christian a long time. Thanks so much for your prayers. I do see your prayer lists and pray from time to time too. I will try to be a more regular appearer on these but always find it hard when you guys clearly know each other very well! My nanny is a new ish christian so quite a tough time for her. Lot sof people going through lots of stuff. God never promises an easy ride, does he?!

DutchOma · 08/11/2008 09:37

No, He doesn't NWAF, but He does promise to be on the ride with us.
We don't all know each other very well, but some of us met last year and were promising ourselves another meet-up. Sadly it didn't happen this summer but we live in hope.

notsofarnow · 08/11/2008 09:39

NWAF I totally loose track of who's who and i've been here since the begining of the creation of this thread. So don't worry just join in where you can.
