Can anyone here interpret dreams?

Had a strange one last night. There was a crowd and they were chasing a polar bear along a path. Next thing I'm in a kitchen with it trying to find it meat and feeding it and stroking it. My elder dsis was there. It was tame and neither of us were scared.

Just so random 🤔

I know quite a bit about divination. Perhaps it shows that something you feared or worried about, is not a worry anymore. Nice dream. I would take that as a good omen.

@Sorciere1 thanks that's spot on. I had a brain scan and it came back normal yesterday.

I use a dream dictionary to interpret my dreams.

The most vital one was many years when I had a dream that my teeth were falling out. I remember waking up and my first thought was "I need to have a smear test". I was 24 and had never had one before.

Got the smear the following week and results came back with adenocarcinoma in situ. I read about the dream and it noted that crumbling teeth point to something major to do with health.

I ended up having colposcopies and a number of lletz removals to clear it.

After I was given all clear I had a dream that I was sitting by my bedroom window and there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky.

Now I listen to my dreams!

,@Strokethefurrywall wow thank goodness you had your smear. I'm trying to get a work colleague to get one. She's 50 and has never had one.

@Strokethefurrywall that's a powerful dream and I'm glad you listened to it and came out of it okay. Dream interpretation was common in the ancient world. Artemidorus wrote an encyclopedic dream book which we have today.

I had a strong prophetic dream a long time ago. It actually saved me and my friend from danger. It was weird how much was predicted. We were on holiday and I saw things in the dream that happened when we got there. I had told my friend of the dream and she was a bit freaked out but glad we were forewarned.

I mean I told her the dream before going away as it was so vivid.

I was really, really struggling after my nan died quite suddenly, she was elderly and frail but not ill if that makes sense. We were really close.
I couldn't sleep at all and was just not doing well, I went to the Dr who gave me some diazepam to help me relax. I slept until it wore off and then took another (was directed) and fell asleep again I dreamed of my nan, just her face talking to me, and I have no idea what she said, I can remember her face and that it was a serious conversation and I had to listen, but that was all, nothing about what was said. Still can't.

My mindset was completely different when I woke up, I was sad, grieving but suddenly coping. At first it was a comfort to think that she'd 'visited' but now (it was about 15 years ago) I am more inclined to think it was my subconscious or rational part of my mind, with the grief lifted by sleep, making sense of everything and offering comfort and rationality.
I think dreams play an important part in our mental health and heeding them can help a lot in waking lives.
I've suffered with depression in the past and it's always preceded by nightmares of being chased by a black figure, relentlessly, and no matter how much I run I know it will catch me. By making changes at that point and being aware I'm starting to slide, I think I've managed it much better with less impact.

Years ago my mum and I had exactly the same dream on the same night. I was telling her about it and she finished it off for me. The next day we had some really bad news.

I’ve spent quite some time learning to lucid dream and I also go into trance states and dram whilst in this state.

Interpreting dreams is probably one of the most powerful things you can do

@Notfeelingtiptop I hope you don't suffer from depression now? Thanks for posting.

@Devonbabs that sounds fascinating. Just shows how important dreams are.

I interpret this as meaning that people you know may have a differing opinion with something you or your sister have chosen to do/not do and that you must stay with it despite comments or judgement

DH had a strange dream the other night. He was on a wall in a car park. The stones on the top were loose. Then a woman came out of her house asking if he was alright? He mentioned a backpack too. I think I know what it relates to. His DM has been in hospital. I think he's been feeling uncertain about her hence the wall. The backpack is the weight of worry. She's out now and he said tonight it's a weight off.

A crowd chasing a polar bear. Water indicates emotions. The polar bear is frozen and running. Being chased. Your emotions are frozen, afraid ,but also strong as is a bear.

Edited

His foundation was loose and rocky. The backpack was a counter balance, which indicated that he was okay.

Hope you don't mind my jumping on OP. Glad a relevant interpretation was revealed to you. Can someone help me with a reoccurring dream?

I keep dreaming i am on holiday abroad (various locations), but each time I've packed and taken most of my house. Really unnecessary things and made myself at home in the villa/hotel room. Then on the day I'm set to return home I find myself overwhelmed with blind panic packing up all of my lifes belongings. Conscious of time running out before my flight home. Does this mean something or is it nonsensical?

I would say it’s that you have trouble letting go of the past and are somewhat stuck and weighed down. You try to move on but the same burdens follow. Clinging to the past is stopping you achieving your true goals and purpose in life.

you need to let go of the baggage and you’ll catch that plane to where you should be in life.

Are you currently wanting to make a big change but too scared to?

@Isthatascratchonmygrandmother
hmm in this life we live in many houses with all our worldly possessions but our ultimate home is the next world . It could be consciousness of death
Or it could be as
@Devonbabssaid.

@Devonbabs interesting interpretation, and very relatable. I'm battling with childhood demons these last couple of years and it's been dominating much of my thought space.

I regularly have a very similar dream to @Isthatascratchonmygrandmother bit in my case I’ve been on a self catering holiday in the UK (I guess because those tend to be the type of holidays I go on) and it’s time to leave so the cleaners can get it ready for the next t people but I’m nowhere near ready or packed to go, and yep, panicking.
I thought it was anxiety related but both of those explanations make sense too.

I dreamt one night that I had a positive pregnancy test. I was trying at the time so recording all sorts of info and the night I dreamt about the positive test would have been when I conceived.

i also have classic anxiety dreams where I am getting married and haven’t organised anything or that I’m driving a car and then remember that I can’t actually drive.
