Hia! my name is Callum, mum is still quite poorly, so has asked me to speak, but in all my 12 years of life I am speechless!

I have told Amber and Finlay about the snow dome, they are so exited, I can't wait to take dad on the snow mobile and mum said I could have a sking lesson.

Mum has had the doctor to see her today, she has been in bed for 8 days now, we have all been scared, even dad was poorly, so its been a bit frigtning.

Mum and me say a big thank you, mum said she will reply as soon as she gets better, mum says hello.

NorthernLurker · 07/03/2008 21:01

Hello Callum - hello Sooz Praying everybody feels better soon and that you have a lovely time in the snow!

serin · 07/03/2008 21:34

Hello,
Thank you to everyone who said prayers for my family the other night and sorry to just barge in so rudely to your chat. My MIL passed away very peacefully and mercifully quickly and my husband is okay......well as okay as can be expected. This is a lovely thread and one that I have been reading for some time, so I knew you would be kind.

Peace be with you all.

CaptainCaveman · 08/03/2008 09:16

Serin you are most welcome - happy but sad about your MIL passing away. She is at peace with our Father so I will Praise God for that. Praying for comfort for you and dh at such a sad time.

Hi Callum, hope your mum is feeling better, and that you enjoy that day out

Serin, feel free to join us anytime! Glad for your DH's sake that it wasn't drawn out.

CCM - had a "d'oh" moment, I was momentarily concerned that you'd been kicked in the stomach, what with you being pregnant... then I twigged

Podmog, how are you feeling now? Better I hope?

Bobsmum, good to hear your's and Bobsdad's news! Take care of yourself though, and don't overdo it - I know the Lord is looking after you, but you don't have to test him by doing too much . Bobsdad's job sounds spot-on!

Well, my service seemed to go well last night, without too many hitches... not many there though, only 15 of us in total. I was the youngest there, but that's nothing unusual on a weekday night...

Also Thursday, night, I delivered the practice sermon I'd written for my tutorial - it was supposed to be in evangelistic style! I was kind to them and didn't give them 90 mins . The tutorial lasted 3 hours in total! So I'm a bit tired, what with everything else.

Tomorrow I'm delivering my assessed sermon in church, so please keep me in your prayers, I'll be in the poopit at about 11am.

notsofarnow · 08/03/2008 20:11

mary lol at the poopi. Hope all those feeling ill are feeling better - bit quiet around here today.

I have done 2 days back at work now and they have been ok. Cant believe i had 9 weeks off how scary is that.

Feeling a bit was talking to a bloke on msn and i've managed to offend him opps.
mouth into action before brain into gear and all that etc.

Should be doing something constructive but am sat here ah well.

Where is everyone today? Mary how did this morning go? Podmog hope your feeling better today have to been to GP?

HS really moved this morning in meeting it was about surrender and quite a few people knelt in prayer - including me. Have had a few conversations with a friend this week about surrender and it doesn't matter how many times i feel it and say that God can have control I feel no different. Am I not supposed to feel at peace and within His will.

What am I doing wrong? Am i not totally surrendering if so then how the heck do I do it. If I have then how come I don't get rid of the feelings of self doubt, low self asteem, high expectations of myself etc etc. I just feel exhausted after this morning would like to feel full of Gods spirit because it was definately there this morning waiting for our response. Thought that I gave a God hounouring response but now i'm not so sure. I even verbally told satan that he had no authority over me but still feel defeated.

But now don't feel well, am all achey throat feels like its going to be sore.

CaptainCaveman · 09/03/2008 16:51

hugs (((((((((((((nsfn))))))))))))))). Do you ever have prayer after the service? I have felt this is one of the few times I have truly let go. Something so powerful to have 2 or 3 people praying over you. I usually sob my way through it but there is something cleansing to make yourself that vulnerable and let Jesus in. Maybe thats just me though!

Quiet on here today - I now have a definate bump that looks like a bump instead of too many pies, so am very pleased to finally look pregnant. Thank You God for looking after me and mini CC.

PandaG · 09/03/2008 17:11

OH NSFN (((hugs))). I think sometimes that I can know that satan has now power over me, and that Jesus has won the victory, that he has pain the price and that I am free, but I don't feel it.

someone once said to me taht faith is about facts not feelings, we don't have to feel it to know it is true, and I have often found that helpful over the years. I still wish I felt it more often tough. Praying for you honey. xxx

glad you have a bump CC!

am in the middle of making a Greek costume and fitting as many thing as possible into a matchbox for a sponsored comp at school!

a couple of friends and I are holding an Easter craft party on Tuesday, for all the girls in our daughters' class. so far 9 girls are coming, most of these come from church backgrounds already. I had wanted this to be an outreach, but I suppose the simple act of inviting someone is a witness. PLease pray that it all goes smoothly!

Mary - how did the preach go?

love to you all

xxxx

Firstly the sermon went really well, and I got lots of praise from people, on content, message, length AND delivery. I had one lady rush up to me enthusiastically and say "not only did I HEAR every word you said, I LISTENED to every word you said"! And many other such compliments. I chose to use the radio mike instead of the mounted mike that I usually use, and it made a HUGE difference! People complimented me who've never said anything before. Even before the service one lady said "I'm glad you're preaching I always love your sermons".

Our vicar also said the feedback from Friday night's service was very good indeed, and that people were "raving about it".

Praise God for the strength he gives me to deliver his words! I don't do this for me, but for HIS glory!

NSFN - {hugs}, you know where I am if you need me. You're not doing anything wrong, far from it! You have to allow God to heal in his time, not yours, that's all. Just keep going and pray for his mercy and love, which is there in abundance for you. xxx

MaryBS · 09/03/2008 20:09

Please pray for a friend and her husband. I found out today that she has cancer, although it is treatable. God give them strength at this difficult time. They are both Christians.

PandaG · 09/03/2008 20:47

Mary, so glad gthe sermon went well, and that you had lots of positive feedback both for today and Friday. Praying for your friends.
