nqgu yes I am still around - sort of. Just can't keep up and feel a fraud when I read and then can't remember people.

Have had to miss cbt appointment today as ds is off with a tummy bug. He was sick thurs night at his dads, he took them down to his df for the w/e and ds was sick in mcdonalds, he broughtthem back last night and have been up half the night with him complaining his tummy hurts and back and fore the toilet with diarrohea. He is now asleep I should go lie down next to him really but have just ate 3/4 of a huge bar or dairy milk bubbly. I'm going to slim world tomorrow so thought ought to make the most of eating rubbish today

I'm going back to work on Fri, have put my head through the door today to check off duty and get my pay slip, some people acted as if i wasn't even there makes me feel that either i've not been missed or that people don't care.

Hello all,

Lovely day off, the weather is gorgeous (am considering putting my coat on and having lunch in the garden ) and I have been cleaning like a crazy lady have just washed all the newborn clothes that came out the loft last week - they're so teeny

NSFN, hope DS feels better soon, poor thing. Also will be thinking of you on Friday, am sure once you are actually "there" it will be easier.

CD - how are you doing?

Mary and Sooz, lots of get well vibes for you 2 too

ok, off for my lunch, perhaps I'll just sit by the open back door!

MaryBS · 03/03/2008 13:00

NSFN - perhaps people don't know what to say to you? Do they know why you were off? I remember once we had a guy off work for 6 weeks, after a nervous breakdown. No-one knew what to say to him, so we said very little to him. Didn't mean we didn't care or hadn't noticed.

Xavielli · 03/03/2008 13:02

Hello peeps

Thanks for remembering me CD!

Life is really good at the moment. Alot happier it being just me and the kids. Even get on a bit better with Xp now that we arent together anymore lol.

Even found myself a new fella Yep. Things are good. Just praying that they will stay this way lol.

Love to all xx

notsofarnow · 03/03/2008 13:43

xavielli I think of you often would be good to keep in touch email me if you want although haven't been very good at answering emails recently sorry dutchoma.

Maybe lots of people just think i've been skiving I don't know.

Right I went and lay down with ds and now i've got a banging headache. Bet that wouldn't have happened if i'd done some cleaning instead.

Am cooking roast beef for tea anyone want some? Was for yesterday but seems it was only dd 1 and 2 and me we went out for lunch with two friends and thier dd's and did some shopping - yes I know it was sunday but I did go to church first honest.

Oh yes Xavielli how on earth did you manage to find another man - i'm having no luck on that front.

MaryBS · 03/03/2008 14:29

There will always be people willing to think bad of someone else - that is their problem. I should imagine most people are just worried about you and concerned for you. You can join me in the banging headache, although the sudafed seem to be helping to take the edge off it...

Roast beef sounds wonderful, wish you were a bit closer! So glad you had a good time out shopping yesterday, don't worry about it being Sunday, I'm sure God doesn't mind! Jesus was always getting stick for what he got up to on the Sabbath.

Just debating what to do with my last peaceful 30 mins before the kids get home...

Roseylea · 03/03/2008 16:36

Hi all!

Hope you feel better soon, Mary. Lots of rest and TLC!

Hi NSFN - I was thinking about you the other day, wondering how you are.

Hi Xavielli! Good to hear that things are great for you.

So, I'm thinking away about a meet-up in the summer. I have two possible venues in mind, both in Hertfordshire (just near the M25 and M1). So is anyone interested? I'm v. happy to organise it if people want to meet.

Dd is whinging - she's tired as she had a school trip to the local church this mornng to learn all about baptism! I went with them and it was lovely. A baby doll was 'baptised', complete with candle, certificate and cake afterwards! (It's all right, the priest did realise it wasn't a real baby!)

MaryBS · 03/03/2008 16:39

Thanks Rosey!

We're on holiday the last 2 weeks in August, plus I have to be careful around 9th, as that's my mum's 75th birthday... otherwise I'm interested!

notsofarnow · 03/03/2008 18:20

I'm interested its just distance thats the bug bear for me but I think i'm the only one who's up here.

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2008 20:02

Defintiely interested rosey - thank you for the offer of organising it!

Xavielli - Sooooooooo good to "see" you, glad things are going ok for you sweetie - you are often in my thoughts and prayers. So. Tell us about the new man!!!!

Mad day today, but praise God DH wasn't killed hwen the steering went on the car as he was driving home RAC called, fuel leaking all over the engine More expense.

Poo.

How is everyone doing??

OP posts:
MaryBS · 03/03/2008 20:24

CD - thank God he is alright. Scary though!

I've had a friend phone tonight, she can't help out with childcare this Easter break, so prayers for this please...

Hi Xavi, long time no 'speak'! {hugs}

CaptainDippy · 03/03/2008 21:56

Praying Mary. xx

OP posts:
Notquitegrownup · 03/03/2008 22:34

NSFN - will be praying on Friday for you. Some people at work will understand, others won't. Just remember that you are allowed to be ill! It's not against the law!

You are in N Wales aren't you? Maybe a Sheffield/Nottingham get together is possible as well, so that the northerners could all meetup one day?

We met up in July last year, which was probably a good idea, as lots of folk may be away in August. Mufti - if your dh couldn't face a day with us, you could ask him if he would bring you here and I could probably take you the rest of the way to Herts, all being well.

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 07:42

Ooooh, excited already!!

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 04/03/2008 07:46

Rosey that would be FAB! July would be good for me too, assuming I can waddle my way down south! Will be 38 weeks at end of July. I remember you talking about a lovely big country park near to you - is that any good?

PRAISE GOD!! The people who came back to see the house REALLY like it. The estate agents phoned yesterday to say they wanted to buy it but have to sell theirs first. They are even reducing the price on their house to sell it quicker so they can buy ours . I am very excited, but trying not to get too excited as it is early days yet. I will keep praying it over to God, and relax in the knowledge that it is all safe in His hands, and will work out however He plans it to.

It is a glorious sunny day here today, if not a little chilly. May you all be blessed with the loving prescence of the Holy Spirit in all that you do today.

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 07:49

Morning CC GREAT news about the house, praying they can sell theirs quickly and that everything can start happening for you ......

Feeling a bit this am, P still asleep, DH has already taken other 2 to nursery and he is away til Friday now, so a bit empty and lonely .....

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 08:05

I think the RAC "did what they could" but it will need to go into a garage "as soon as" .... How the heck we are going to pay for it to be fixed is beyond me though .....

Morning all!

OP posts:
notsofarnow · 04/03/2008 08:12

Oh cd I hate it when things happen that we haven't budgeted for. My windscreen wiper switch went the other week and as soon as that was fixed by a friend the air con started playing up and it needs a service which is at leat £140 agh.

Yes I'm in North Wales I dont think there are many of us up North are there?

CaptainDippy · 04/03/2008 08:31

Yes, it is frustrating, NSFN and it seems to happen unpleasantly often in our household!!

Well, P up and breakfasted, so going to take her for a little walk in the early (??) morning sunshine before her nap .... be back later .....
