Yours must be the most frequently asked and answered question in all our so far 19 threads. We always answer with the same advice, complete beginners are better off learning about any of the facets of witchcraft they are interested in. No practising spellcraft until you understand the principles behind it and know exactly what you're doing. Do look at all our previous threads, there's a wealth of knowledge in there.
What are you most interested in? Have a good look on Amazon for books, it's almost always possible to have a good look inside, so you know if it will interest you before you buy it. If it doesn't seem to be for you, then ignore it and try something different. Don't underestimate the importance of self development, it's an ongoing project for all of us.
If anyone claims to have 'powers', asks for money or more of your attention than you're willing to give, walk away.
How much time do you spend in nature, how comfortable do you feel in a forest, by the shore, on top of a hill, among ancient stones, in a cave, stargazing in a dark skies area. Can you recognise a liminal place, can you be silent enough to learn? Not all learning comes from books, much is from direct experience. Again, if something doesn't feel right, do something else.
None of us know all the answers but we each have our own specialised areas of interest, our own strengths and weaknesses and together we are a sisterhood of many talents, individual threads in a rich tapestry.
Light a candle at 8am or 8pm and 'tune in' to our collective contemplative time. Give and take whatever you need.
