My theory on God/Death/Heaven

I'm dying to talk about religion and all aspects but I'll start with this one.

I believe females are exempt from sin or the scales/ balances etc when they die. I think that only applies to men.

Surely it makes sense that if there is a God / Devine justice then woman go through enough here. They are the mothers, they bring life. Whether they become mothers or not.

The bible rarely mentions women. Some see that as sexist. My perspective is it is a rule book for men (wrote by men).

Can anyone else imagine a scenario where death is the reverse? Opposite day. And as a man one of the most important things you can do is be respectful to women.

I believe in forgiveness for all men. Over time. Does anyone see a logic to my arguement or a counter that could make me reconsider?

My argument: if you are female, it doesn't matter what you believe or don't. God/universe/whatever you want to call it has your back.

When I had that revelation it changed a lot of things for me almost instantly. I think that's what I'm asking. Say that is correct, again without going off into paragraphs, woman aren't judged, the worst ones (baby p or did you see that 24 hours in police custody with teddy?) I've never met a bad woman. I think I'm struggling to articulate what I mean. I've met women with extreme mental health issues who I, at the time, just thought were pure evil. Until you see the whole back story. And again, we all carry trauma but I think female trauma is worse. And it's all about balance and fairness

I think you're deluding yourself.

God doesn't judge
Men and women are equal.
And I personally have suffer more at the hands of women (I'm female) than I ever did with men.
Female jealous, bullying , being excluded, belittled , ignored , talked about , betrayed and finally lied to by the closest female in my life. Confused

This is mental. Hmm

I totally disagree with your points. That's not the God I know.

coffeeisthebest · 17/04/2022 11:53

I can't argue with you because you appear to be asking if we as women are exempt from all responsibility based on the fact we have the biological potential to carry children. I think what you are saying is delusional and absurd. Women are as capable as men at being murderous and full of hate. We all have that potential. It is played out all over the world every day. Go away and really research crimes committed by women before you make sweeping generalisations about women. And men. So no, I wholeheartedly disagree with you and think that we all need to take responsibility for our own humanity. That is the real challenge in my opinion.

Hi. Atheist here. I disagree with you because there is not and never has been the tiniest shred of evidence that the Christian god or any of the other gazillion made-up deities existed.

Aside from that, I don't think any of your points are very clear or make much sense.
Why would being female make you 'exempt from sin' (do you mean exempt from committing it or from being punished for it?)? Why would giving birth make any difference to that? Why would the fact that some women 'go through enough here' mean that all women were exempt? Some have a very nice life!

No idea what this bit of your OP means tbh:

Can anyone else imagine a scenario where death is the reverse? Opposite day. And as a man one of the most important things you can do is be respectful to women. ??

Oh also - women are mentioned quite a lot in the bible!

Using that logic, female serial killers, and abusers somehow escape divine justice on the grounds that they have the ability to give birth? I don't understand that logic at all.

On the idea that women are not really mentioned in the Bible, I feel like you probably haven't read it a great deal. Women play a massive part in the biblical story from Eve through to Miriam, Esther, Deborah, Ruth, Hannah, Mary Magdalene, Phoebe, Lois. There are over 150 named women in the Bible, many of whom play a massive part in the narrative.

No one is "exempt" from sin except Jesus. We are all like sheep who have gone astray, each going his (or her) own way.

I also think the allegorical story of Adam and Eve's fall is fascinating. How Eve is persuaded to eat the fruit by the serpent and gave some to Adam. If Adam had taken it first she could have claimed to be smaller/weaker/coerced into eating it, but no, both are equally responsible for the fall, both have sinned. They both receive punishment - excluding from Eden and a new struggle to survive/provide and to give birth.
