It's been a while since I posted, but just wanted to check in. I've had quite the week. DD2 got her first period + DD1 had her 17th birthday (same day and was on the full moon). I felt both blessed, touched by the goddess and some how watched over my my own late mother...as if she reached out to the three of us on the same moon day to share in our womanhood. I'm still struck by the triad symbolism. It feels unbelievable in many ways and (so much that I've tried to be a sceptic about it), but really, I think I need to embrace the sacredness of this and accept it. I lit mother candles, pulled my girls out into the garden, and we three watched the moon over the trees...it was truly magical and I wanted to share this with you all.

peace and good moon to you all!

Delphinium20 · 28/05/2021 02:59

speakout I am thinking of your DD and will send her strength and healing wishes. moregarlic your poem is perfect. thank you for sharing!

toto I am so sorry for your dear gran Flowers

hil ahh...the smell of newborn babies.

Death and life and the cycle of birth...so many themes this month

VioletCharlotte · 28/05/2021 08:05

Good morning. I've been awake since 6, the mornings are so light now. I'm enjoying a cup of coffee in bed and listening to the birds singing. I've got a couple of days of work, I've got some plans to catch up with various family members who I've not seen for a few months, so looking forward to that. Today is going to be a busy one as DS and his GF are moving into their new flat, so lots to do to help them move all their stuff and get sorted. I can't quite believe I have child old enough to be moving into his own place!

Speakout I continue to send healing energy for your DD. I hope she is doing ok and beginning to feel a little better.

Aerwyna the full moon gathering was wonderful, thank you. It was so lovely to be in the company of like minded women and be able to talk openly and share. I slept much better than I usually do when there's a full moon, the release made me feel much less 'wired'! Lovely to hear about your tomato plants, the smell of home grown tomatoes always remind me of my Grandad who used to grow them in his greenhouse.

Moregarlic thank you for sharing that beautiful poem. I hope life calms down for you soon.

Toto thinking of you and continuing to send love and healing.

Delphinium20 oh my goodness, such synergy between you and your girls. Truly magical 💫

speakout · 28/05/2021 17:33

Delphinium20 that time sounds so powerful and sacred. Something to treasure.
VioletCharlotte children grow so quickly don't they. One moment lying in your arms, in a blink a beard and towering over you.
Toto I hope this day has been kind to you.

Thank you for the kind wishes for my DD. She is coping, still quite poorly, but not in need of medical attention.
I took some home made food, fruit and other supplies and dropped them off to her today at her flat ndppr. She is on her own, so also delivered my cat- a very wise, calm and affectionate creature, with a load of supplies and treats.
Not the best situation, I am so glad we have face time.

Morning sisters, it's been quiet here the last day or so. I hope you are all well and taking some time to relax over the weekend. I've been busy the last couple of days, helping DS move into his new place. It's lovely to see him and his girlfriend so happy. The garden is rather overgrown, but a paradise for wildlife with lots of wild flowers and birds, We found a green man hanging on the back all which felt like a really positive sign Smile

Speakout I hope your DD is doing ok and starting to feel a little better. It's worrying to hear that, despite being young and healthy and having had the first vaccine, she's still feeling so unwell. This really is the most awful virus. I feel for her being alone, but at least you live close enough to be able to drop off supplies. Will continue to send healing.

HillsBesideTheSea · 30/05/2021 13:25

I hope your daughter has a quick full recovery Speakout

I got to see a huge hare yesterday. was quite spectacular. I am making time for my concerns, struggling with life and introverting hard whilst being put in siutations i dont want to be in at work.

Sorry i have lost track of the thread atm.

speakout · 30/05/2021 13:50

Thankyou for all the kind words and healing energy.
My daughter is doing fine, still unwell, but improving slowly each day.
Comforted by support of family and friends who have been sending cards, flowers, care packages, chocolates, Being able to facetime is a lifeline for her to help combat the isolation. And my cat is enjoyng all the attention and treats. If she is well she will be able to come out of isolation on Friday.

I think the summer is finally starting to arrive, but the sun has been unable to break through the mist today, so has stayed rather cool.
Recent work in my garden has left a small plot of bare dark soil outside my living room doors, I have just orderd some Buddlia to plant there. I aready have some in my garden , butterflies and other insects love it - and who doesn't love a garden full of butterflies!

Thank you once again for all your kind thoughts. Today I watered my gran's plants. Her cat is settling in well at my house. This has helped the grieving process.

I had a lovely picnic in our local nature reserve with tiny DD and that has helped me feel a bit more balanced. The next few months will be bumpy but I know I will get through it.

I hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday.

Glad to hear your daughter is feeling better @speakout

TotoAnnihiliation · 30/05/2021 16:16

@VioletCharlotte what a wonderful find at your DS's new home. It sounds like it's the right move for him.

hilariousnamehere · 30/05/2021 23:17

Hello sisters, I've not even been lurking so just catching up. Toto sending you love for your loss.

Speakout glad to hear your DD is improving and Hills a hare! How wonderful! I hope the work situation improves though.

Moregarlic that poem was perfect, thank you for sharing.

I'm sure I've missed some of you, so sorry if I have.

I'm getting ready for easily the craziest month I've yet had in my business, a combination of spring and reopening plus still dealing with the covid backlog where I couldn't shoot for months. I've taken on too much in my other businesses so there have been hot words and I'm finally learning to let go and let others help Blush why is that always so hard?!

Had some gorgeous days celebrating my mum's 70th with her and setting up her new laptop today for her, I'm shattered but happy.

So any tips, tricks, spells or advice on energy during chaos would be gratefully received over here!

I've bought my favourite energising showergel with verbena & lemongrass, I'm choosing a crystal each morning and I'm trying to make sure I don't lose my precious morning journaling time in the madness. If I can get through this month then it all calms down a little and I can think straight again!

hilariousnamehere · 30/05/2021 23:26

There has also been over the last couple of nights a sharp scent in the night air, I can't quite place it but wondered if anyone else had similar? I know we talked about scents further up the thread!

speakout · 31/05/2021 06:26

TotoAnnihiliation your picnic sounds divine, nature is so healing.

hilariousnamehere I will go and have a sniff, I haven't been out in the evening for a few days, but I am convinced I can sense moods and emotions through scent.
I could sense the first wave of Covid as it was about to hit, it was tangible in the wind. My daughter is finding it very odd that her sense of smell has gone completely, even very strong perfume has no smell to her right now.
I often get too busy and overwhelmed with work, but I am becomig much better at deciding to create time off for myself. It is so tempting to carry on and push through, having lots of business is seductive, but we need a level of self preservation.
Christmas is a crazy time for me, and I would be overwhelmed if I tried to steer through. Instead I usually have a cut off date around the 5th December and close down for a month.
I have to plan time off, so this week I will stop orders on Tuesday, clear my backlog by Thursday and have time to spend wth my daughter over the weekend as she will hopefully be out of isolation on Friday.
When I am busy housework is often the thing that is cut first, only doing the absolute basics.
I focus on self care too, I make sure I still have time for yoga practice, meditation, foot massage, some Tarot etc. I take a few seconds to fill my workspace with incense, fresh air from an open window, burn candles, play uplifting music. These things become more important, not less when I am super busy.
I also don't burn the midnight oil. I make sure I get to bed early rather than pushing on late at night.

I have become a bit more balanced in my approach in the past year or two. It is exciting to have a successful business, but other things in life are important too.

I took a late walk yesterday and was treated to being able to watch the bats flying about hunting. It is a really lovely sight

Aerwyna · 01/06/2021 12:06

Good afternoon sisters,
Just catching up after a busy weekend, I’d lost you from my ‘threads I’m on’ tab Halloween Shock can’t have that!

Delphinium20 lovely to see you- I love the womanly synchronicity with your DDs, such goddess blessings and powerful female energy. Your collective moon bathing sounds really special. May the goddess continue to bless you all.

TotoAnnihiliation Your picnic sounds lovely and I’m glad to hear you taking time to nourish your self in this way. Good to hear that taking care of the cat and plants are helpful, there’s some lovely connective magic in what you’re doing I think. Something about the energy that lives on as you feed and nurture it. Continuing to send comforting energy your way.

Violet What a great find in your DS’ new garden! I would see it as auspicious too, a positive sign. I agree with speakout, our children seem to grow in the blink of an eye. I hope you’ve managed a little time to unwind too before you were back at work today, I think these things can be tiring emotionally as well as physically.

speakout so good to hear of your DD being surrounded by love and good wishes, as well, of course as your wonderful practical support. Continuing to send healing energy and hoping she will indeed be out of isolation by Friday. Your plans for a butterfly patch in the garden sound wonderful.

Hilarious that sounds exciting and exhausting! I think speakout’s advice is very wise, sometimes it can be hard to locate a lower gear when passion runs high can’t it! Glad you hear you’re aiming to prioritise your grounding practices, crucial in my opinion. I’ve found that it can be helpful to have a physical reminder of the energy we’re trying to maintain/create. I’ve enjoyed working with sigils recently and will create one on a small stone that I keep in my bra, it helps me stay aligned with my intentions. I think something like that can be helpful when we’re busy.

Hills it’s such a joy to hear about the hare and the bats, truly magical sights. Good to hear you’re getting out to connect with nature, I know it’s an important tool in your toolbox as it is for many of us here.

A mixture of energies here within a relatively new stage of life for me- magic and mishaps coexisting- more comfortable in each other’s company than I like to believe! Lessons in the glorious paradoxes of life.. my aim at the moment is to just keep the energy moving along, where the momentum takes me is yet to be seen but I think that can be all part of the fun. I’m just ‘doing the next thing’ and seeing where I end up. It’s an approach I’m finding helpful as someone predisposed to overthinking. I can easily think myself into inertia if I’m not careful so the act of just doing the next thing without having to have thought out every possible outcome in great detail is quite freeing I think. Energy likes movement and I’ve found that if I work with that things are more likely to fall into place.

Wishing everyone a magical day

speakout · 01/06/2021 20:18

HillsBesideTheSea I am glad you enjoyed the bat display- wonderful creatures aren't they- I love them too.
Aerwyna I am happy to hear of you stepping out along your journey, sometimes just keeping our feet moving forward is all we need to do. We don't always need to keep all the plates spinning at once.
I have had to remind myeslf of this today.
A quiet time at work- and about to get quieter as I will take 4 or 5 days off completely.
Such beautiful weather and having washed and hug out everything that I could find, then started thinking about other jobs that need doing- some painting, clearing and mopping the porch.
But then I had a little word with myself and decided a few hours off was what I needed most of all.
So I have been taking it easy and have enjoyed a relaxing afternoon.
My DD continues to improve , so all good for Friday end of isolation.
She still has a bit of a cough and no sense of smell- very tired too. She will come over to my house- it will be lovely to cuddle her after her ordeal.
Just having my umteenth cup of herbal tea and listening to some relaxing chants before and early night.

magical blessings sisters.

Thank you speakout, wise words as ever. I’m pleased to hear of you having a relaxing afternoon yesterday, time very well spent I think! Good to hear that your DD is continuing to improve, roll on Friday and that much looked forward to cuddle.

Rain here earlier after a few dry hot days, the petrichor was wonderful. Forecast for storms later so I’m hoping they materialise, I’d like to collect some storm water. For now the air feels close and muggy, as though it’s also waiting for a storm.

I hope everyone finds a little magic in their day

Mysteise · 02/06/2021 13:58

Good afternoon,

I hope you don't mind a stranger stopping by to say hello.

I've been lurking for a little while now and I just want to say thank you for creating this space of comfort and sanctuary.

I am relatively new to my magical practice and have learned so much from you all already.

For your words of wonder and wisdom, please accept this token - a small spray of wildflowers to brighten your day Flowers

hilariousnamehere · 02/06/2021 14:09

Welcome @Mysteise, there is always space by the fire (although am hoping with today's temperatures it's a properly magical cool fire Grin)

Thank you all for your advice on energy and busy times - I'm feeling much calmer about it today, although with no less on my list!

Aerwyna · 02/06/2021 14:43

You are very welcome here Mysteise, I’m glad you’ve joined us. Thank you for the wonderful wildflowers, it’s funny, I was just writing a shopping list and decided I’d buy myself some flowers today.. came here and here you are with your beautiful gift for us all- magic! Thank you! Flowers

Good to hear you’re feeling calmer hilarious, you’ve been in my thoughts as you move through this demanding time. Take good care of you

Thank you all so much for the lovely welcome. What a wonderful coincidence about the flowers - I hope the blooms bring you lots of joy!

A little about me. I work primarily with moon magic but I am refraining from practice until eclipse season ends. So using this time for reading, grounding, being in nature and pottering around. I can usually be found with my old tabby cat faithfully in tow although she is snoozing in the sun today!

I love reading all your musings on kitchen magic as that is something I would like to learn more about. I find it so wonderful that this group warmly accepts such a rich tapestry of magical routes. Such a vast pool of knowledge to swim in!

Wishing you all a relaxing evening x

speakout · 03/06/2021 06:56

Mysteise thank you for sharing a little of your life and practice.
Many of us here are moon lovers to, and you are in good company if you like nature, pottering and cats! I love what you say about our group being a "rich tapestry"- I find strength in that too. We all bring different aspects, different views, different interests, all on paths that meet and part, weave and meander . As a group we are a powerhouse of experience and our strength lies as much in our differences as our similarities.
I have a day off today- the start of several, so good to have time to potter ad catch up with house jobs.
Time to do some food shopping this morning, then to buy stain and brushes for my fence and new decking. Out for a meal with DS tonight so no cooking today- just a light lunch.
Then DD will come over tomorrow, not sure is she is sleeping over, but she will be here to eat and bring my cat home. DD is starting to feel much improved and is having a big ( but slow) clean of her flat today, things have become a bit messy over the past 10 days. I am so excited to have her well and see her again.
Two trines will bolster us today, both helpful aspects, the Sun energising the power of Saturn, giving a boost to structure and stability, making us feel a little more grounded. Venus and Jupiter also have a trine aspect , bringing a joyful loving energy to ourselves and easy cooperation with others.
I am off to do my morning rituals. I hope you all have an enchanted day.

I love that speakout, beautifully described, I find strength in this too- such an empowering and supportive space.

So glad to hear that your DD is on track for recovery, that you are taking some time off work and having a no cook day today. Wishing you a wonderful evening with your DS and blessed time with your DD tomorrow. These times are the magic of life aren’t they, love and connection. Thank you also for the encouraging astrological update, very welcome energy to embrace.

Mysteise
Lovely to hear about you and your practice, I look forward to learning together as we chat more.

The storm didn’t materialise here yesterday but just enough rain to enhance the green of the garden, it’s a clear, bright day today and a pleasure to have doors and windows open to let in the breeze.

Wishing everyone a boost of fiery solar energy as you go about your days
