For anyone in need of some gentle soul nurturing tonight, a beautiful song sung in Sanskrit.

speakout, that is divine. Thank you 🙏

purplefig · 12/11/2020 07:11

@ChillPillRequired amazing! What satisfyingly speedy results!

@speakout what is it you do for work, if you don’t mind me asking? It sounds like you’ve got such a lot on your plate. The assistant could be an excellent way to go ❤️ Could they do bits remotely? Or is there a time when you’re more likely to be working? Or could they even get to the point where they could work even if you have to nip out?

I had a joyous day yesterday. Met with a friend and her baby, it all just felt so lovey and normal. I’ve been on a bit of a cooking/prepping mission at the moment - I’ve started getting a farmers veg box delivered in a bid to put my money where my mouth is. My current obsession is pickling!! I’ve just pickled some cauliflower which I’m incredibly excited about. We’ll have on the side (with pickled cucumber + crispy tofu) tonight with our gyoza and veg miso broth. I so love taking ingredients and whipping them up into something delicious and nourishing.

Have a peaceful Thursday everyone.

speakout · 12/11/2020 07:22

purplefig your food sounds mouthwatering!
I love tofu, miso, and pickles!
I make and sell magical items. I will think about an assistant- or a cleaner, maybe in the new year.
I normally have a long stretch off over Yule to get my house in order and have a break.
Of to do a little yoga as I start my day.

ChillPillRequired · 12/11/2020 07:36

Oooh @purplefig pickled cauliflower is my favourite!

Aerwyna · 12/11/2020 08:37

Good morning friends,
Just stopping by to say thank you to everyone for all they share here. As others have said this really is an energetic oasis 🙏

Yesterday’s energy felt intense to me.
I pulled the magician tarot card and used it as an archetype for transformation, a focus point while I worked.

It’s brighter here today and the air is still for now, it’s been a calm start to the day which I’m savouring. I find it comforting to notice the ebb and flow of energy and the sense of possibility this can bring.

Wishing everyone a magical day

Aerwyna · 12/11/2020 08:44

Also wanted to share this. Like many of us I have been facing challenges recently and I tend to will myself through to get to the other side of it all. But there’s something about yielding to the moment that can bring respite I think so this resonated for me. I thought others may get something from it too:

“A Mindful Moment, An Ordinary Miracle

Drop any idea of ‘feeling better’.
Drop your concept of ‘happiness’, too.
(Happiness cannot be conceptualised anyway).
Let any dream of ‘peace’ fall away.

Let the image of
‘how this moment should be’
dissolve into the silent ground of Now.

Instead of trying to get ‘there’,
be here, fully, with the entire weight of your being.

Feel your body sink into the generous Earth.
Feel your belly rise and fall with each soft breath.

If there is sadness here, let it be.
If there is joy here, let it be.
If there is numbness here, let it be.
If there is uncertainty here, let it be.

If there is some unspeakable emptiness here, let it be.

Consider the possibility
that there is no mistake here.
No thought or feeling unwanted.
No appearance in the moment which is ‘against’ you.

Be what you are.
Be the vast Field, the limitless Space,
in which all thoughts and feelings come and go,
effortlessly, naturally.

Stop trying to get ‘there’.
Stop trying to ‘feel better’.
Stop rushing to FUTURE.
Bow to the PRESENT, exactly as it is.
Know its sacredness. Feel its warmth.

You may not feel ‘better’ right away,
but you will feel alive, grounded.
You may not get ‘there’,
but you will fall in love with HERE,
which is
all there
really is.

Aerwyna

A powerful card- and a great reminder of what you have beneath your cloak!
It'a calmer day here today too, quite windy but sunny. I have a wall of golden forest outside my window, the morning light is reflecting the colours, it's quite magical.

BlankTimes · 12/11/2020 10:54

Great result ChillPill

Purplefig great to hear about all the tasty things you're making.

I finally got around to making some Elderberry Tincture which should be ready in around 6 weeks.

Aerwyna that's brilliant, we really do need to be reminded to be mindful, so much "stuff" gets in the way.

We're watching the Angel reruns and this was in last night's episode Epiphany S2 Ep 16 there's a transcript too.

May Magic and understanding bless everyone's day.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 12/11/2020 12:48

It's a lovely sunny day here and the sun is streaming through the windows. Now, just to find the organisation to get stuff done. There seems to be so much swirling around: promotion application and interview, Christmas planning, work and horse that it's all getting a bit overwhelming. My energies feel very...scattered.

I'm doing a lot more yoga at the moment to try and deal with some back pain I can't get treated at the moment, and I finish with a meditation. Does anyone else ever experience colour during meditation? I don't think it can just be light naturally coming through my eyelids as the colours change even though I'm sitting in the same place and light all the time. And it's not so much 'seeing' the colours as 'experiencing the concept', if that makes any sense?

@speakout, it does sound like you have a lot on your plate; I hope you can find a workable solution. Could your assistant-to-be work on things that don't need you to be there, so they could get on with their stuff and you can dip in and out as needs be?

@Spiritwriter I'm so sorry for your losses. As Purplefig says, crying can be helpful. I too lost someone recently and a bloody good cry can give a physical manifestation to our emotional pain. I thought I was prepared for my friend's passing but I still needed that sit-on-the-floor-and-howl.

And wow, @ChillPillRequired, that's brilliant results!

Morning beautiful sisters. Popping in to say hello before I start my day. Work has been really busy again this week and I've not really been able to contribute much, but I'm enjoying reading your updates and being part of the energy.

Sending love to you all for a peaceful day.

Good evening wise friends.
Sitting here curled up on a sofa with some cosy animals, sipping some tea. It is a cold windy night outside, I am so grateful to have a warm house and a roof over my head.
Plus I found my favourite winter socks which pull all the way up to my armpits which is a bonus!

It's chilly here too Speakout I'm either by the open fire or in front of the aga, toasty warm is my preference. DD is into all things snuggly too. Halloween Smile

Merry meet and blessings to you all. I've just been rearranging my altar and putting out gifts for my matron goddess Lakshmi. I'm Anglo-Indian on my mother's side. I am not Hindu, but I like to say a few prayers to her at this time of the year for Diwali.

VioletCharlotte · 13/11/2020 21:36

Good evening, I'm enjoying being warm and cosy indoors tonight too. I'm watching Children In Need and like Speakout, feeling grateful for a safe, comfortable home and that both my DC are contented and happy. We're very fortunate.

Diwali Blessings to you Calamityjam I love your altar ❤️

SweetKitty so sorry to hear about the trapped nerve, that sounds really painful. Have a look at Bowen Therapy. I've been to a Bowen Therapist a couple of times, once for lower back pain, once when I injured my neck and shoulder, I can't recommend it enough. It's difficult to explain, but it works on stretching fascia tissue. It's a very gentle treatment, but extremely effective.

VioletCharlotte · 14/11/2020 11:24

Wet and windy here today. I've just finished my meditation and Zoom yoga class, feeling relaxed as I drink my coffee.

Rain is forecast for the whole weekend, so I'm planning to spend some time catching up on some reading, I've got a long list of books, articles I've saved, links to videos, etc. I will have to put my waterproofs and wellies on at some point to walk the dog, but he seems quite content at the moment, snoring on the sofa!

Love to you all for a peaceful Saturday ❤️

BlankTimes · 14/11/2020 12:06

Welcome CalamityJam, grab a comfy cushion and have some tea, I love your altar.

Violet I've seen a Bowen treatment, it's very different and very effective.

The first time I heard about treating the fascia was in a tapping meditation by Jessica Ortner who is American. She was going through all the different parts of the body like bones, muscles, tendons and mentioned what I heard as 'my fasha' My first thought was how have I reached this age and not known I have a 'fasha' and my second thought was what is 'my fasha' and more importantly where is it? It took me an absolute age to work out what she meant. Halloween Grin

Have a magical weekend Sisters!

Aerwyna · 14/11/2020 19:22

A warm welcome from me too CalamityJam (I love your username btw!) Thank you for sharing your altar with us, beautiful Diwali energy.

I don't seem to have been up to contributing much of late but at risk of repeating myself, (I know I am!) I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the ideas, experiences and energy you all share here. It's wonderful to be part of the energy. Thank you.

I'm quite bored of the challenges I've been facing recently and have been visualising a different way, all part of generating the right energy to be used when the time is right. I reckon if I can generate it within it'll be easier to manifest without so it's a bit by bit build over time.

Wishing everyone a peaceful evening Halloween Smile

Aerwyna · 14/11/2020 19:33

Also thought this was encouraging and that others may too (excuse the long copy and paste!)

“ Sound the trumpets, darklings. After several long months of false starts and redirection, temper tantrums and failed coups and passion at half mast, Mars is back in action. On the front foot and well done with his impatient retrograde revision.

Mars retraces his steps through the shadow cast by his rx retreat until January and this period stabilises what may have been dangerously quaked. Whether by garden variety fascists, attack as defence strategists or a slow dying patriarchy that likes to take as many down with them as possible. Expect to see them all on constant scramble as cognitive dissonance competes with ego to see who will end up on the right side of history. I'm tipping precisely none. Tone deaf leopards never change their spots.

Mars exiting his retrograde stasis and charging forward once more is neither a baseless call to arms nor an excuse to indulge our lesser gods. Do your best to avoid his traditional exit wound as today's scorpion flavoured cocktail muddies our senses.

As we sink deep into the dark of the phoenix moon, consider instead what you have learned during Mars' revolutionary revision test. Feel into your fire. Note well the hills you will no longer die on and what you have discovered is worth fighting for. Feel what your blood pumps for now and where your passion draws its flow. Muse especially upon the righteous new relationship to rage that fuels the revolution and your part in it. Consider it a valuable weapon of your humanity that permits you to fight the good fight, in service of people and principles and values.

Fire is a harsh mistress and powerful teacher. It is the greatest transformer and properly channelled makes a formidable friend. Mars' retrograde in Aries was our schooling in its purpose and power in our lives. You either learned how you use it or lose it.

What kind of world is this that sends machines to Mars and does nothing to stop the killing of a human being?

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Have just lit candles and am snuggled up with the dog whilst the others watch a movie next door (didn’t fancy it). Still in a lot of pain unfortunately.

@VioletCharlotte yes I’ve heard of Bowen treatment and I’ve had some fascia release treatment in the past too.

I’m still very very sore just now. We also heard bad news about work yesterday I’m trying to see the positives and think what will be will. My job is still very safe which is more than a lot of people.

Craftycorvid · 14/11/2020 22:42

Bright blessings, all! Soothing thoughts for those feeling pain of any kind. I’m feeling unsettled - very much a crossroads kind of energy all round: personal things, work and thinking about a training course for my job but feeling conflicted. I called Hekate for a bit of company at the crossroads, as she knows a thing or two about those! I’ve a strophalos as part of some body art and was meditating on the wheel image. Stay well!

A warm welcome to CalamityJam- it is always a blessing o have new members join us.
I am tired tonight, but just been for a walk into the woods and river near my house.
I live opposite an old abbey- it dates back to the 11th century, no a further education college, but has been used for many purposes over the years including a hospital during WWII.
The area live around has been set to many purposes over the years- too gardens for the monks, medieval archery course, a golf course, second world war barracks- the barracks still remain- two hundred of them are home to small industrial businesses, many woodwork, craft, glassblowers, furniture makers etc.
Many are empty, and old signs reman over the doors- “laundry”, and one I often look into “ Dining Hall”. The small panes of glass are dusty and some broken, but as I peer through I hear the cacophony of clattering plates and voices, the volume is up very loud. There are still broken tables and equipment scattered around. I can still see those men.
I was a cold walk- and my ears get sore when I walk in cold weather.
Home now though with some hot peppermint tea and a snug bug familiar at my side.
