Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

@sweetkitty I was catching up and just saw your post. I feel very similar. Work is draining and finding this lovely group has helped me manage it somewhat. There's something so special when you find your tribe!

sweetkitty · 24/09/2020 23:45

@Delphinium20 thankyou for the welcome I lit my first 8pm candle tonight usually have one lit at night. Currently trying to heal from a broken toe and an elbow injury (I got that one at work), feel like my whole body needs healing so if anyone has any ideas???

DymaFi · 25/09/2020 08:38

Good morning all! I have just returned from a walk on the beach, made it out there for first light. It was nice to be out in raw nature and to get some headspace after a few topsy-turvy days. The cold wind and salt spray felt very cleansing, and watching the terrier-ist play so joyfully with something so simple as a ball reminded me that happiness is everyday little things and what I already possess. So with that in mind, I send out to you all some refreshing and positive energy to start your day.
Blessed be

VioletCharlotte · 25/09/2020 09:30

Morning sisters. I've not felt able to contribute much recently, it's been a difficult week work-wise. Still here though, reading all your posts and taking comfort from being in the energy 🙏❤️

speakout · 26/09/2020 12:35

Welcome to the weekend magical sisters!

I have the house to myself for an hour or two which is lovely- just me and my familiars.

I know many of us are struggling right now, so I am holding space for my tribe, and have a candle burning right through today for anyone that needs extra help.

Beautiful Speakout thank you 🙏

I'm feeling more positive today after a good nights sleep. It's colder here today, but bright and sunny my washing's blowing on the line. I've been out for a walk this morning and met DM, we took a wander around a local outdoor market selling crafts, local produce, etc. I couldn't resist buying a coaster hand painted with a fox and her cub. I can never resist a fox! This afternoon I'm going over to see my SIL, nephew and niece. I'm conscious work has taken over my life over the last few weeks and I need to make time for the people around me that matter most.

Sending love to you all ❤️

speakout · 26/09/2020 17:11

VioletCharlotte glad to hear you are feeling better.
A good night's sleep is helpful, and sounds a lovely afternoon.
It has been very sunny here today, but cold and breezy- did manage to get all my laundry dry too.
Finding a work/life balance is something I am constantly having to manage.
I have a huge tendency to work to the exclusion of much else, and need to take stock sometimes so I can find that balance again.
It has happened again yesterday, work has been engulfing me this week, so I have put things on hold until I can catch up with my backlog, and hopefully have a few quiet days midweek.

Have a magical evening sisters- I will be there at 8 tonight.

Evening everyone I’ve been doing lots of reading, I don’t think I’m ready for full blown Wicca practice but feel drawn to crystals and definitely nature, just wish I was closer to the sea. I’m laughing to myself as I am painting my nails tonight as a little act of self care and chose a sparkly purple for a change and it’s called Moon Shimmer. Lots of little ahs and ticks going on in my head right now.

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/09/2020 05:07

Good Morning.

I have found my thoughts wandering in the direction of how you are all doing of late.
I had not realised I had been away from MN for so long. But it was needed. But now it turns out that perhaps I should return. For what purpose I am sure will come to light at some point. But I have learnt in the last year that sometimes it does well to place trust in an instinct.

I have been doing a lot of shadow work and trying to heal deep wounds. And like many decluttering my physical space too. Turns out I am still a ridiculous hoarder of nature and I am finding pine cones and conkers all over the place. It always makes me smile.

I am looking forwards to the weather turning and only the most battle harden being prepared to escape into nature. I was not prepared for the people clutter that took over my favourite places in Nature this summer and I have avoided many of the places I would normal seek out.

I know a few of you will soon be rising so I shall put the kettle on for you as I head hopefully off for some hard earnt sleep tonight. My mind is buzzing with thoughts and ideas, and slow to quieten. May you have lovely days.

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/09/2020 05:21

@Sweetkitty Many of us chose to never follow the Wicca path.
I am more of a green witch and feel no need for the structure that goes with the wicca path. So the Wicca path is never going to be one i chose for myself. That is ok. Find that path that feels right to you, and that is the right path. If Wicca does not feel right that is ok, if it does feel right that is also ok.

Podcast wise In addition to a number of those listed by Speakout, I like the green witch's sister channel daughter of old, HearthWitch and Witch of Wonderlust amongst others. I spend too much time on youtube. It has been fuelling my need for establishing a Materia Medica. Which is a worm hole I don't entire have time for right now, but am going to have to make the time.

GinIsMySaviour · 28/09/2020 11:13

HillsBesideThe Sea thank you for putting the kettle on, I could do with a nice cup of tea Smile

Greetings to everyone, I hope your week is off to a good start. I have been decluttering and feel the lighter for it but the constant stress the virus brings in its wake is niggling all the time. It has really outstayed its welcome and needs to leave us be.

I have decided to take lessons from my wonderful animals about how to be calmer. From my joyful dog, I am learning to see everything as an opportunity to discover and usually to play as well; and from my serene cats, I am learning the importance of napping HARD whenever possible and to devote proper time to self-care. Some of their personal habits they can keep, but I am trying to adopt more of their bigger values Grin

It’s a lovely day here so I am going to escape the house and walk my hound before I have to start work.

A peaceful week to all.

VioletCharlotte · 28/09/2020 12:56

Hillsbythesea so lovely to see you again and thank you for the tea ☕️ Really interesting to hear about it your shadow work. I feel the same as you about looking forward to everywhere being quieter, I much prefer dog walking in the winter when it's peaceful without people everywhere!

Gin I love your idea about taking wisdom from your animals. My dog has the right idea, his priorities are food, a warm home, exercise and love and affection.

I'm making a real effort to focus on self care this week. I'm on day 5 of a 40 day meditation journey with some of my yoga friends, taking 11 minutes out every day to chant a mantra. It's incredibly powerful and I'm already starting to feel a shift in how I feel.

Yesterday I felt pulled to be near water, so took myself and my dog off to the canal for a long walk. I've shared a couple of images for anyone who needs a little water energy today.

Good evening sisters. Hope you have all had a good start to your week. I've been back in work today after a week off, and feel utterly drained, from the nature of the job, and mainly from the negativity and general schoolgirl bitchiness of some of my colleagues. I have been enhancing my home with things to increase the peaceful and positive energy in it to create more of a haven, such as (yet more!) houseplants, candles, crystals, an altar of sorts (more of an unusual nature finds keepsake shelf), and a deep cleaning and decluttering... I can feel the hard work has paid off though, as I am beginning to feel soothed, even though I still have chores to catch up on! Am hoping to have sorted everything out by 8 so I can join in the candle ritual and have some time to ground myself, I've bought a lavender beeswax candle specially. Until then, love and blessings to you all

speakout · 29/09/2020 07:17

Good morning sisters- HillsBesideTheSea lovely to see you again. It sounnds like a challenging time of late.
VioletCharlotte those photographs are beautiful, such an amazing energy. I love the sound of your meditation journey.
I think when we commit to some form or regular practice there is an element of ritual which is very powerful, whether it is daily meditation, regular yoga or exercise, or joining in at 8 and 8.
There is an extra layer of meaning and comfort when we imbue structure and planning into our acts.
DymaFi that sounds a difficult situation at work. I know this has been discussed at some point on these threads- I don't know where. Have you tried any form of protection? Wearing obsidian works well for me, there are other crystals too that can be tucked in the bra! Visualisation can help, building a protective dome around you, weraing something reflective or sparkly, or carry a written sigil with you.
It is a beautiful bright day here, but very cold, I have work ahead but have planned a few easy days. I tend to work 7 days a week, but some days are easier than others, and I give myself a month off at christmas.
Off to start my day- I hope everyone has a magical one.

Morning I woke with awful toothache coupled with my broken toe and elbow pain on top of general aches and pains I feel quite miserable and broken. I am off work just now but I am going to walk the dog later to a special place I like to go as I haven’t walked her myself in a while and need to get out back into nature. I might even try a gentle yoga practice too I used to enjoy yoga but just stopped I don’t know why laziness? Blush it feels so odd not being at work

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/09/2020 11:05

@Sweetkitty if you can get hold of any anbesol or clove oil they should help with the toothache until you can get it checked. Hoping that the pain subsides for you through the day. Pain is miserable.

Speakout probably doesn't help but i do remember those conversations. There were a couple of incidents where there is a lot of collective wisdom so it is scattered throughout the threads a bit. DymaFi if you can take the time to find the information it is worth it imo.

Shadow work is hard but I will say that the progress I have made so far has been totally worth the journey. I wish i had done it sooner, but i don't think i would have been ready to tackle it with such honesty to myself. I have a lot more to do, but I know that when the healing is done life will move on in such a better manner. And work colleagues have noticed the positive effect it has been having already.

I have been making bread this morning. I find it a very meditative and therapeutically slow and calming process.

DymaFi · 29/09/2020 13:45

Thank you speakout and hillsbesidethesea, I will delve into the past threads to glean some wisdom. I have bought myself some moonshine, sodalite, blue tigers eye, amethyst, blue lace agate and smoky quartz in the forms of tumblestones and a bracelet, once they arrive and the moon is right I will be doing a cleansing on them and myself, along with my home to reset myself and have a fresh start and outlook, as I know I am guilty of becoming a negative person myself in situations like that, and then bringing it home with me. Oh, for a cottage in the woods away from civilization and no need for work... Oh well, I am very fortunate and grateful for what I have, all I need to do is learn how to enhance my power and peace. On that note, wishing you all a peaceful afternoon

VioletCharlotte · 29/09/2020 13:52

Dymafi sorry to hear about the work situation. As Speakout and Hills have said, we've talked about this before. One suggestion I remember was to wear something reflective, like jewellery or have a mirror on your desk, to reflect negativity back at people. I remember one poster used to use sparkly hairspray! I have to deal with a senior manager who is rather toxic and unpleasant. My strategy for coping with her is to be as nice as I possibly can to her! When I get one of her abrasive emails, my first instinct is to go on the defensive, but I find by responding with an overly enthusiastic and over the top friendly response, it stops her in her tracks. It also makes me giggle and defused any negative feelings! Grin

Sweetkitty sorry to hear about the toothache. Anbesol is the best thing I've found, it's really effective at numbing the area. I hope you manage to find some relief.

Its sunny here after a wet start to the day, so I'm taking the opportunity to eat my lunch in then garden - leftover chickpea Tikka Marsala - delicious!

DymaFi · 29/09/2020 14:22

I've just noticed, my previous post said moonshine instead of moonstone! I assure you all it's moonstone I have bought, not the moonshine, although there are times when I feel like seriously strong alcohol would help 😂

speakout · 29/09/2020 14:44

Sweetkitty I hope you are feeling better soon- sending healing energy your way.
DymaFi loving the idea of moonshine!
VioletCharlotte your lunch sounds delicious.
It is a perfect autumn day here, I am sitting working at an easy pace, windows open.
Unfortunately two sets of neighbours are having some work done- one having a large amount of timber delivered to build a new fence, the other seems to be having a new bathroom installed with lots of screeching noises as pipework is being cut on the driveway.
I have my peppermint tea and a candle burning- I am enjoying my calm space too much to be knocked off track!

Thankyou for the kind wishes everyone the pain seems to be behind by last wisdom tooth more in by jaw I’ll give it a few days to heal itself.

I took the dog for a walk by unselfish today which I’ve not done in ages to a special place which was a country estate in the 1800s and before. There’s a circle of trees there off the paths, deliberately planted maybe over 100 years ago in a circle at the top of a small cliff. Story is it’s where witches would gather. It felt cold today so didn’t dwell there. Passed a 800 year old oak tree watched its leaves falling and there’s something so humbling about watching it’s leaves falling as they have for hundreds of years. Sat by the river for a while in the sunshine too then walked by an old graveyard which has a stone arbour the lord built for himself to sit in as he visited his wife’s grave daily, I also love the Japanese maple trees there at this time of year deep red and stunning.

If I said this to anyone else they would think I was a bit mad but I know you lot will understand.

rivierliedje · 30/09/2020 18:07

It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and today has been an aboslute downpour. I had to cross several roads to get round the most enormous puddle I have ever seen. A poor teacher was trying to cross a class of children through it and avoid them getting soaked/hit by cars. He looked stressed, but the children were joyous splashing through the massive puddle. It made me smile

HillsBesideTheSea · 30/09/2020 20:52

VioletCharlotte Yes yes to the glitter hairspray. It has the added effect of confusing people as they are not sure to believe they are seeing glitter in the hair or not. Not the most environmentally friendly approach but it does make me smile.

Eek to all the building work Speakout hopefully they are able to conclude successfully sooner rather than later.

Your walk sounds lovely SweetKitty, that story about the kids enjoying the puddle also made me smile rivierliedje

speakout · 30/09/2020 21:01

Edible glitter is a good alternative- and biodegrades within 4 weeks.

Good morning magical friends.

Tonight is full moon night, perfect for works of magic or spell work, divination, or to cleanse and charge crystals Tarot decks or equipment.
I like to make full moon water too.
I have been feeling a bit heavy and wrung out of late due to life challenges so I am hoping tonights full moon will energise and release my feelings.
My one word intention today- that I sometimes set in my morning yoga practice- is magical.
When the going gets tough it's time to open the toolbox.
Have a magical full moon day sisters.
