bobsmum - fantastic news, friend coming out of hospital, he will be frustrated for a while but the re-hab classes should start soon, that keeps them occupied for a few months, then I pray he gets the all-clear to lead a relatively normal life, after adapting it to suit him, in his new life style.

Prayers for your DH job situation, sounds like the year for job changes on this thread!

Right I'm off to work now, not for long back at 8pm yippee I get out of tea and bed routine! then its out on the streets delivering flyers till 9.30pm to keep our new business busy busy busy!

Roseylea · 18/06/2007 16:41

Thanks DutchOma - I will e-mail you later.

God bless xxx

MaryBS · 18/06/2007 18:19

Just calling by to say that the meeting with the head was very positive. She and the teachers shared the concerns we raised about the Ed Psych's report. DS is going to be referred to a paediatrician for further investigation. They are also going to query some of the test results (no way is DS on the 4th percentile for numeracy!). I raised the possibility of autistic spectrum/Aspergers, as it was worrying me. They said he has shown certain traits, but not others, but that they weren't experts - which is fine, just wanted to know what we're dealing with here. Please pray we get an appt sooner rather than later.

weirdbird · 19/06/2007 10:24

Hi all

Missed the new thread as there where so many posts after the link, here what I posted

Sorry I havnt been back, DD1 is all clear no allergies, Hallelujah!!

When they got back there was jsut enough time to go to Legoland for a few hours so we jumped in the car and had a lovely afternoon, which is always a bonus when you arnt expecting it!

Sadly since then Hannah has not been sleeping, she is settling in the evening but then waking up every few hours, wanting to feed and then not settling back to sleep again, not sure if this is a growth spurt or what. Just had our 4th night of it and I am beyond tired and feel like a zombie, I think its worse cause I had just gotten use to having 6hours sleep in one go and I dont seem to be able to go backwards...

Will try and catch up on everyone else soon xxx

ZipadiSuzy · 19/06/2007 10:24

Weirdbird - and you with your 'lickle pickle'

My prayers are zoooooming all the way to both of you and hope your lickle pickles give their mummies a rest

Well looks like we've got to stay in another couple of days, [frustration] flip to 'man flu' I'm going to do some well needed housework while poorly twins lay on sofa watching videos! although 'ice-pops' seemed to have gone down well.

Thank you god for this lovely sunny day!
maybe I should do my garden (my gardener is out at work) teehee

Roseylea · 19/06/2007 18:12

hello loves!

this perennial problem has come up again - please pray for a solution! this old chestnut

harrisey · 19/06/2007 19:14

Ladies, I am SOOO excited!

I got my marks back for this term today. We are marked on a sliding scale of 1-20, pass is 9.

Well I am deeeee-lighted with my results.

Meaning of Salvation - 17
Jesus and the Gospels - 17
Primal and New Religions - 14,18
Using the Bible Cross-Culturally - 17, 18

(some had two short assignments, the others one big one).

I cant believe it. I sat there today looking at them thinking, 'wow!'. When you think (and dont you all know it) of my angst through the term, I am pleased that things have worked out well.
Of course, dh's marks are slightly better than mine, thouh only slightly this term, but I'm not worried about that.

PandaG · 19/06/2007 19:22

Well done Harrisey

Rosey, will pray for the whole situation, and for healing for DD then the nightmare of creaming won't be one iyswim. Drives me nuts that our school will not administer anti-biotics, so if DC have been prescribed ab's 4 times a day a parent has to go into school at lunchtime to give a dose. Children and teachers need to be kept safe, but surely a couple of TA's could be trained to cream, watch child give him/herself pre-measured anbd signed for dose of medicine etc. I did it as a Childminder quite happily with parental consent. on your behalf

MaryBS · 19/06/2007 19:34

Aw Rosey, that's awful, I can't believe this is still going on for you! I'm emailing you something which MAY help...

Sooz - praying the twins are OK again soon!

WB - praying that little Hannah settles at night!

Bobsmum - praying for a worthwhile solution for your DH, re jobs

Can you all say a prayer for a very brave little girl? One of my customers told me about her grandchild. I tentatively mentioned I'd like to pray for her, and "outed" myself as a Christian . She said yes. This little girl is 9, nearly 10. A few months after birth she got a cold and developed cardiomyopathy (is that spelled right?) and needed a heart transplant, which she got. Since then she has been on various drugs (5 diff ones in the morning, 5 at night), the side effects of which will shorten her life. Her family were told that the transplant would "last" about 10 years. Now, she is fine and healthy atm, but I felt the urge that we should pray for her (given that its coming up to 10 years since the transplant) - so I am, and ask you would offer a prayer up for her too.

MaryBS · 19/06/2007 19:36

Harrisey - we cross-posted but WELL DONE!!!!! SO SO PLEASED FOR YOU!!!!

Must be such a relief for you both

CaptainCaveman · 20/06/2007 07:03

Well done to the Harrisey's , my what a clever pair you are!!

rosey, have posted on your link with a couple of suggestions - just another thought, can you claim disability allowance for eczema?

bobsmum, great news re your church chappie. Praying he takes it easy and enjoys his recovery

Sooz, how are the twins today? At least the sun is out this morning in Notts! Fed up of grey skies.

Praying for your ds Mary, and for the little 'heart' girl.

CD and weirdbird praying you get some sleep! Ds was up at 5 30 today so feeling tired but won't pretend its anything like having a young baby/newborn

PRAISE GOD my friend had a 2nd ds yesterday!!! 5 days early, all well

Something to make you smile - Ds was being cheeky last night and making up silly words etc, so I asked him where he got his daft ideas from?
ds: "Tescos mummy!"

God bless him! And all our dd's/ds's

Well Done!! - Harrisey on brilliant results .....

Praying for cutomer's Grandchild, Mary - what a brave little soul....

@ situation @ school Rosey - Praying lots ......

Sorry it is only brief - don't want to be rude ....

ZipadiSuzy · 20/06/2007 13:59

Roseylea - prayers for your dd and hope for a solution to this awful predicament! I know in our school they create big time on the administration of any medication, and indeed all children have to apply their own cream.

CaptainElliesDippyPA · 20/06/2007 20:21

Hello Soooooooooooooooooz!

BedofRosesitAint · 20/06/2007 21:30

Hi ladies,

My prayerlife is getting better, (because of you lot no doubt) which has to be a good thing doesn't it

My husband arrived and left in 24 hours, so my hope that the time wouldn't fly wasn't to be. But never mind, we enjoyed the day.

Roseylea, I am praying re:eczema, Lord may it disappear and never reappear.

I am Praising The Lord re:harrisey and both her and her Dh exam success. Well done, hard work will be it's reward.

MaryBS am praying for heart transplant girl, that the heart will last longer, medication would work more effectively.

CaptainCaveman - new arrivals are just the best news PTL, hope baby grows up in the knowledge of the truth and makes the decision to follow Christ to the end.

Fannyannie - praying for a big outpouring

Please pray that I will continue to feel better and continue to trust in His Love for me. It can be difficult to believe that Jesus loves me, even though we say it often enough...

Wish I could come to the meetup, it is not too far from where we are but we already have plans for that day. I look forward to the Christmas one...there is a Christmas one isn't there?

BoRiA xx

BedofRosesitAint · 20/06/2007 21:32

Should read "hard work brings it's own reward" apologies

MaryBS · 20/06/2007 22:38

BedofRoses - I know what you mean about finding it hard to believe that Jesus loves me. But that's what's special about him. I've been reading this book on forgiveness, and it quotes from Romans (5:10) "For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life".

In other words, God loves us even if we are his enemy. And yet we (I hope!) are not his enemy, but seek him with a glad heart!

That is why (oft-quoted by me!) is that the 2 rules by which I aim to live my life are "to love God with all my heart and to love others as I OUGHT to love myself". I'm still working on them...

Something else Paul says is "pray unceasingly". Offer everything to God in prayer. Nothing is too small to be brought to his attention.

Anyway I'm rambling...

Notquitegrownup · 21/06/2007 09:46

Good morning all

BoRIA - know exactly what you mean too. It's good that you are feeling able to pray more. Sometimes I find that it is when I pray more for others that Jesus's love for me feels more real, IYKWIM. I guess when we pray, we are crossing the veil (Now we see dimly as through a veil, then we shall see face to face)

Does that make any sense???!!

I came across this thread this morning. Some of you may remember NASW, who used to post here a long time ago. I am praying about what to post to her, but thought those of you who remembered her would like to pray.

Lots to do. Mustn't tarry today.

Great idea about a Christmas get together BoRIA!

God bless.

CaptainElliesDippyPA · 21/06/2007 11:33

Praying Bed. xx

Thank you for the link to that thread, Rosey - I came across NASWM last night at a virtual party () .... Will be praying for her & her family .... so heart-breakingly .

Could you all please pray for the friend of a friend, Adam. He was attack outside his house last week & his life is v.much hanging in the balance right now. Will post when I have more info on his current progress.
