thanks guys for your concern am absolutely fine, have been working Thursday all day and today and other days occupied with children, cinema, swimming, markets...out of all the days I am most chilled today as had 12 days at work which sounds awful, but someone else looking after children from 6.30am and me selling plants all day and chatting to boss afterwards I feel great, although still need to try meditation without alcohol (hard in half terms hols I must say)

Hi just wanted to resurrect this thread. Are there any regular meditators out there? Does it make a real difference to your life? Just interested

nm · 26/01/2005 19:50

bump - anyone?

keziah · 26/01/2005 20:03

I really need to start meditating! I'm just reading Moon over Water by Jessica Macbeth which I heartily reccomend. It says it is 'meditation made clear with techniques for beginners and initiates' If only i spent as much time practising the things i read about as I do reading about them iykwm!

nm · 27/01/2005 00:45

How are you finding the book keziah - is it inspiring you to meditate?

SleepyJess · 28/01/2005 18:59

Keziah, I totally agree with what you said there re " if only you spent the same time doing the things you read about as you do reading about them". I SO know what you mean! I am getting very clear these days about what I believe.. and not in a 'blind faith' fashion.. but in what 'feels' right.. and I seem to have lots of insights to share with people (although only in 'offering' fashion I hope)..BUT..

..now all I need to know is how to LIVE all this stuff I am learning about! D'oh!!

FWIW I have just started meditating again after a bit if a break and it's brilliant. There is a particular issue that I have been very upset about and have founf very difficult to let go - since restarting meditating it matters much ess to me now and I find that I am not thinking about it all the time. Hopefully soon I won't think about it at all!

toddlermum · 03/03/2005 11:06

BTW I do transcendental Meditation - for those who have seen the other thread I used to be neetsmassi
