Bright blessings to all!

Wiccan here. Just wondering if there are any more of us around. :) I don't have a coven, and there doesn't seem to be too much opportunity for it in Ireland, even in the medium sized cities.

DP is not a Wiccan. I'm a hospital doctor. We enjoy Dr. Who and Star Trek. I was raised Catholic.

I have had a lovely Beltane. Didn't get to celebrate quite as soon as I'd have liked, due to work, but it was beautiful.

My sick orchid is budding, my Book of Shadows is growing... Thinking about a nice walk in the woods tomorrow afternoon.

Would love to hear from others. :) I have so many questions.

By tapping, do you mean EFT?

Milllli · 16/05/2015 11:31

I wad taught years ago to wrap myself in a protective invisible blanket that protects me from other people's negativity. I don't do it enough though. I am unfortunately like a sponge with regards peoples emotions.

DoctorShoe · 16/05/2015 15:08

I think I'm spongy too, Milllli. Grin

Hi hope everyone is having a good weekend.

My D's played three games lost two and won one. It was a long and hard day but great fun. I over heared the main negative person (who shouldn't have been there) say they were looking at moving to another club. It would be great if they left but I don't think she has the guts to leave but we will see.

Milllli · 17/05/2015 19:08

Daisy sounds interesting. Have you been doing some positivity/spells?

DaisyStarLight · 17/05/2015 21:27

I have been doing meditation with visualization of white positive energy around the club. So it seems to be working (and we won a game Grin).

Anyone interested in Astrology and/or Moon cycles may identify with this.

I was born at Full Moon, natal moon is in Cancer, 12th house.
Because of this, I'm more moon ruled than sun sign ruled, I'm very susceptible to moon phases and always struggle with low mood during Dark Moon.
We had new moon earlier this morning and the moon is waxing now, and my mood has already lifted. I have a ritual planned for this evening. I live alone so my altar is in my spare room, and if summer ever comes I'll move it out into the garden for a couple of months.

We were talking about anxiety a few posts back. I love neroli and bergamot oil for helping with anxiety and low mood, plus a drop or two of clary sage is always nice as well.

spiderlight · 18/05/2015 12:24

Bergamot oil is my favourite too! I can't use many oils because strong smells set off my migraines, but I absolutely adore bergamot.

Quietattheback · 18/05/2015 12:50

Nice work Daisy, things are shifting.

Interesting about the moon. The moon is the Goddess in some beliefs. I'm currently trying to sync my period with the new moon as this is supposedly the natural cycle of women and anecdotally is said to help with mood swings, pain and fertility. I've also started to welcome and bless my period when it arrives; I focus on clearing out the old to make way for the new. I've only recently started doing this but it's had quite a profound effect already. Usually I find the whole period thing a bit traumatising and just want to hide away until it's over but this month it came, I blessed it, it did it's thing and then left and I hardly really noticed it.

Milllli · 18/05/2015 16:11

Im a loony moon maiden myself. I am a crab and interestingly my periods used to be synced to the moon.

Milllli · 18/05/2015 16:18

I love vanilla oil. Am in love with vanilla. My other favourites are lavender, may chang, bergamot, orange and tea tree.

spiderlight · 18/05/2015 18:09

That's really interesting about blessing your period. I get terrible menstrual migraines and pmt. I wonder if I could help to shift those if I w welcomed it a bit more.

Milllli · 18/05/2015 19:03

spider I used to get menstrual migraines. Horrible they were. They disappeared however once menopause came.

CheeseIsMyChocolate · 18/05/2015 22:52

Hello ladies. Fascinating thread

I've dug out a load of my gem stones, we found them at a house we used to live in. I think I've identified some of them. My favourite is an ocean jasper, it's beautiful. I wonder if you could take a look at some others, I'll try to upload some photos. Can you tell me how to cleanse them?

I've always been a bit different, I feel, not mainstream. Dm always says she didn't bring me up to drink camomile tea. It's so calming though! I've always felt a bit of a hippy, I don't know, just not belonging anywhere in particular, does that make sense?

I love the outdoors and particularly trees. I kind of think of myself as a tree hugger. My garden has lots of trees and I've realised throughout life, that I've been drawn to them.

My favourite herb is coriander. Essential oils: ylang ylang and jasmine, heavenly.

I've been reading about animals too. I'm drawn to cats. Our family pet is a rescue cat and he's a bit of a character.

I don't know much about paganism etc. I was overawed by stone henge. I didn't think I would be much bothered by it. Does anyone else have a special place?

spiderlight · 19/05/2015 10:06

My favourite sites are our local ones - Tinkinswood and St Lythans. I also love Avebury and West Kennet, and especially the small wood henge site at Avebury - can't remember the name of it now but even our dog went all silly there! I've been lucky enough to go into Stonehenge once for a British Druid Order ritual and it was incredible, but St Lythans is the place that most talks to me.

spiderlight · 19/05/2015 10:08

The Sanctuary - that's the name of the one near Avebury that I love.

DaisyStarLight · 19/05/2015 11:27

I like Whitby but the energy/atmosphere is a little off somehow. Derby is known as the most haunted place in the UK. I like Chester as a city for the Roman history. Chirk is also interesting history wise as is most of North Wales. I like Hope mountain, worlds end, the house shoes pass and Snowdonia. Lots of natural rivers, brooks and streams with green mountains , its fab in summer when its Sunny or very dramatic when stony gray and raining. Its where I feel most at home but I can settle anywhere.

Stonehenge didn't really move me as much as I though in would fact it was

DaisyStarLight · 19/05/2015 11:31

Weird thing happened last night. I was sorting through all my stones as above and I left some of my favourites on my bedside table. I thought I should move them as they hadn't been cleansed, even though I've only just learnt about this!! However, I was too lazy arse and left them. I usually sleep well but last night I kept waking. Even dh who normally falls asleep in a milli second, couldn't get to sleep and had to get up. This is highly unusual. Was it the stones?? Tres weird as both of us are normally fine and sleep well.

CheeseIsMyChocolate · 19/05/2015 15:22

Love the pics above. The stones look eerie and amazing. I've been to Gozo, unfortunately a short day trip to a beach only. I wish I'd known!

Years ago I had a tour of the house of parliament, doesn't sound particularly spiritual but I immediately felt the history steeped in the walls. It was one of those 'moments'
