I went to a christian healing meeting once and found it uplifting but I do class myself as a christian so maybe felt at home. I can't be open about my whole beliefs though so I feel like the hypochrite at times. I love the church I got to every sunday and my friends there. It's very difficult for me at times TBH. I've just an astro chart online and it's all pointing to a new spiritual awareness and abilities so maybe I'll be more involved in healing? I'm just taking it one day at a time and praying for direction.

reading this helps me recognise that the spiritualist meeting I went too did had a rather gabbled effect. As you said Snugs - noisy and crowded summed it up. Far too much static for my liking.

After my Granny died I went to Church with my mum and her cousin on Mothers Day. I was wearing a coat of Grannys - she was a funk master in her day and I had the distinct feeling that someone walked behind me and put their hand on me. I really feel it was her coming to say hello and passing on her way. I was holding her hand when she died in hospital and was the one in the family that spiritually freed her to pass on I guess.

Death is often portrayed as something not to discuss - but I felt very peaceful when she passed on - like I was able to hold her hand at the beginning of the journey.

Interested in what you said Snugs about holding spirits back from their journey. How do you know this (intuitively or from any specifc books?)

What type of healing would you like to do Juniper
Would it be from a Christian perspective or general spiritual form?

Sorry juniper, hope I haven't offended you - I wasn't meaning you or any others on this thread.
Those of us who post on this thread are (I hope) open minded enough to discuss various spiritual paths and the crossroads between them, whichever direction we may approach from.
I was referring strictly to personal experience - a local group of Christians who rejoice in quoting great swathes of biblical text at me (and other spiritualists) about how evil and bad we are - and then hold 'laying on of hands' healing sessions.

I guess I should explain my background a bit - My mum is a medium/card reader/meditation teacher (+ countless other spiritual 'talents' ) My sister and I are both witches (dont actually like using labels like witch/pagan/wiccan as in reality they don't explain in enough detail) but hey....if the pointy hat fits I'll wear it . My brother is a naturally gifted psychic, but refuses to acknowledge it. My dh has a talent for healing, but is still unsure of his spiritual path so doesn't really use his gift.

I know what you mean snugs about keeping spirits earth bound and not letting them go.. i am sure my Nan kept my grandad earth bound after his death, I guess after nearly 50 years it must be hard to let go. She was frightened by his presence but at the same time didn't want to say goodbye. We were incredibly close and the day before he died he told me he couldn't hold on any longer and would it be OK if he went, I told it it was and we chatted. The next day at work I knew I had to leave, I had a feeling it wouldn't be long but as I had 1 foot off the train at the station near the hospital I felt him wash through me as though he had come to say goodbye and let me know, it was a peaceful feeing though, there was also music in my head but I have never been able to recall the song. I arrived at the hospital and asked to see him saying I think he had died about 10 minutes before and the nurses were really shocked that I knew.
I have felt him in many ways since but have yet to see him convincingly. I have been told that I will at some stage.

You don't sound patronising at all, don't worry. Because I haven't been keeping up, will just ask instead of reading for hours - what exactly are you 'into'?

coincidental happenings that mean something , tapping into our lifeforce energy, meditation, holisitc therapy, hypnothrapy, finding the light, after life, clestine prophecy books,messages through coincidences,postive living, healing energy, reincarnation .

learning to feel love not fear , clearing your past negativity, being in tune with mother earth , karma , learning not to use human energy for self power, mystical experiences.
