That IS good CD. My constant prayer when going for selection was "thy will, not my will be done, Lord".

As I've been studying Mark's gospel, I will quote this (Mark 11, v 24):

"Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours"

Katzg - praying for you for your job interview today. May the Lord inspire you, may his spirit flow through you, may your faith in Him quell your nerves and enable you to show yourself as you really are. God bless and good luck (and bear in mind the above quote from Mark!)

morning all. welcome footprint. thought as marybs - and if you chose your name in relation to the poem you are on the right path: the healing has started already . faith is a great healer and worked wonders for me. although it only started working when i utterly and genuinely put my trust in Him and accept whichever path He had in mind for me. not sure i am making sense here.... xavielli, congratulations. i had noted your comments but a church wedding is so very special. you will see on the day!!!! thank you all for your prayers re dd for next week. am sure she will be fine - well i hope... am making a huge sacrifice here, i was so so hard to have her that i think i would have a tendency to overprotect her and this is not good is it? praying hard for dh too esp at 2pm today. MaryBS re your mum... what i can say Hurray to the power of prayers!!!! CD lovely poem btw. another prayer for today's anniversary. praying for the victims and their families and friends. sad day...

Well... It wont be a church wedding in the traditional sense of the word (ie... in a church!) as we don't have a church building at the moment.. we worship in the local st Johns ambulance hall! lol.

I think it will pretty much be a registry office job and then a christian ceremony afterwards..

I'm not trying to lessen it in anyway.. I know how important and great it will be.. just explaining the practicalities of it (Not very well!! lol )

Hi Footprint, welcome! I've suffered from snxiety and depression in the past too, and always have to keep a check on how I am doing, never want to go there again. I second what Mary said, I know that God healed me. Yes, the anti-depressants, fab doctor, giving up my job all helped, but it was the prayer of a supportive smallgroup at church that made all the difference. When we joined a smallgroup and I got prayer, I really started on the road to recovery. I know God saved our marriage during that time too. I was FOUL, but God gave my DH the patience with me, he must have done, it was super human! So, if ever I am starting on the slippery slope, I always ask for prayer, and my friends in RL can usually spot it too. Will pray for you my love, come here and vent away, but also is there anyone in RL you can trust to talk to? We will support you all we can

Katz, praying for you my lovey.

Mary, praying for your DD, and for you as you make a decision about whether to ask for her to be moved classes.

Nanou - praying for your peace of mind when you leave your daughter. Must admit my 2 go to my DM's on a regular basis for a week at a time. DS was 3 the first time he went, dd was 17 months, a bit young maybe but when they both went it was our 10th wedding anniversary, and we had the honeymoon we couldn't afford when we got married. Am sure she will have a fab time with her cousins and grandparents.

I have a prayer request too. A while ago I posted that my youth group leader had cancer. It has spread, and she is very poorly and in hospital. MIL said the end seemed near. I would love a miracle, she is only on her 60's, but I realise this could well not be God's plan here. PLease pray that if it is her time to meet her Father face to face that it will be quick and painless, and for support for the family. Her son and DIL are good friends of ours, please give us the words to say to support them at this time. We haven't seen them for months, and haven't spoken for a while, haven't known what to say.

Love to you all

Hello again - sprinting in quickly as I have about a million things to do!! ARGH!!

Katzg - Praying for you today lots and lots - God give you supernatural abilities to stay calm and rational - Hope you have a fabtastic interview and, that if it is in God's Will, you get the job!! Let us know asap!!

Praying for your DH too nanou1 - 2pm - Got it!! Let us know asap too!!

Did you read my message about Wedding invites, Xavi? Offer's always there!! My friend's got married on Sat - their church building is brand new and is not licensed for marraiges yet - so they nipped to the registry ofice with a couple of close friends to be the witnesses in the morning and had a gorgeous, Christian service in the church building the afternoon. It was lovely and they got to get married where they wanted to, which was great!

//[hugs], prayers and love to all!!

Wed night was lovely as I knew it would be really as they are really good friends and were our collegues before we resigned ( have i already said that before?) so thanks for all your prayers.

Footprints welcome and you are not on your own, I have suffered with depression on and off for quite a few years, but God is such a source of comfort and healing. We will be here to listen and pray for you whatever.

Tigert hope your dd is ok today

Harisey fantastic on the job front well done - God is good all of the time!

Haven't forgotten about the rest of you but dd is off today (teacher training) so she's taken little ones for a walk so i should get on and do something really.

Hello all

Well God has already answered my prayers, as my leader died either last nightor early this morning. I am very about this, have spoken to her son, who was very matter of fact, think the grief will hit him later. n She was a lovely person, it was te youth group that helped to keep my faith alive during the teenage years. She and the other leader organised a fab reunion last year which a lot of us enjoyed. Want to have a good cry now.

Thankyou all so much for your welcomes and kind words. I am trying to "let go and let God" but feeling so trapped now and everything whirling round and round in my head - I can hardly even pray for 30 seconds before my mind flies off again.

Yes, my name comes partly from that poem, and partly from a picture I used to have on my wall called Making a Footprint.

PandaG, so sorry to hear that your friend died But perhaps better that way than long and drawn out.

I hope that Katzg and Nanou's dh both did well today.

Panda, Footprint and Nanou prayer are very much around you and your family right now. Praying that you will feel Gods loving, caring arms around you. Let him carry you through

Ask for prayers for two things this evening please. Just had phone call from mum to say that nan and Grandad have been involved in car accident this evening- they were on there way home from work (in their 80's mind you) but still running a toy/hardware shop. When a car cut across in front of them, passenger was my mum and dad's friend, had to cut my Grandad out of their brand new week old car. They were on spinal boards all strapped down and apparantly my Nan said this is the end to which we have heard so many times bless her, and she always bounces back. Anyway mum says 1 1/2 hours later she was walking round the shop collecting all her paper work to the shop books over the w/e

They are just so old and frail now, even though they keep going and going, just pray that shock of all this doesn't get them too badly tonight and tomorrow.

Katzg - if you've done your best, thats all anyone can ask. I pray that whatever happens is for the best.

lwtg - praying for your grandparents and the friend. Please let us know how they are.

nanou1 - praying for your DH and for a safe trip for you and dd

Pandag - praying for your leader and her family. She is at peace with God now.

footprint - praying for peace for you. Don't try too hard to pray, just try to empty your mind and let God come to you. Breathe deeply and try to calm yourself and God will come, I promise. Don't try to do too much to force it. {hug}

CD - praying for you and your family

And Lord, help anyone else I've forgotten, I'm not really with it... too much to do today!

Bless our school fete and its organisers.
