Cosmic Ordering

My friend is really into it and says it works for her. I'm a bit skeptical.
So I'm asking the lovely vipers people of MN to help me with a completely unscientific experiment.
Place your cosmic order, think positive and we'll see who gets what they asked for.

User looks like the Milky Bars are on you! Grin That's Christmas sorted then!

SirRaymondClench · 11/09/2013 20:49

Have to say I love this thread. It's a very positive place!

LadyK Glad you got your balloons and penguins! You're getting good at practicing Smile Get some orders placed!

Nice really depends. Put your order in and see Wink

I have been amazed at how quickly people have been getting things they have asked for. Someone asked about writing it down. I have always kept a little notebook because to me if I've written it down it feels 'solid' but also because I forget sometimes what I have asked. Also I love looking back and seeing that I have got the things I asked for.
Has anyone created a vision board?
Basically I use a cork board and pin to it things I want and I am aiming for and keep it somewhere I can see it.
It always feels good to look at this and helps me stay focussed.

aliasjoey · 11/09/2013 21:03

Can you order too many things?

I've got lots of things I want (some big and important, others quite minor) but I feel like if my list is too long, either I won't get everything - or if I do, I won't realise/notice because there's too much going on ?

UserError · 11/09/2013 21:14

I think I've inadvertently been doing this for years, since I was a teenager. I found an old diary from when I was 17, with a big list of things I wanted. It was pretty amazing to realise I'd got everything from the list, even years later.

The money is going on a wedding and on some important stuff, like a new mattress and maybe a dishwasher. The rest is getting saved.

Mantella · 11/09/2013 21:23

Delurking. This is such a lovely thread. I've asked for, and received, many of the smaller things on here: yellow balloons (have seen more than I can count!), a man in a turban and a penguin. I also tried asking for my own small thing: a lady in a pink hat (I saw 2 on the same day of asking, both were in a queue in front of me at a book signing).

Let's see how I go with the bigger things now. Feeling pretty positive which is changing my outlook for the better in itself.

SirRaymondClench · 11/09/2013 21:43

Alias you can ask for as many things as you want but its a good thing to start off slowly so you can focus and visualise and do each step right.

User some people are naturals at this. My DH is like you and does LOA naturally Envy The rest of us have to work at it Grin

Mantella welcome! well done on getting your balloons etc. Now get placing some orders! Smile

Mantella · 11/09/2013 21:51

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 11/09/2013 22:43

A quick google reveals this is the site run by the woman in loveroflife's Channel 4 film and her mother. Off to have a read now.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 11/09/2013 22:45

Just a thought but would it be worth asking MNHQ to move this to another section so it doesn't disappear? It's a really positive, inspiring thread Smile. Maybe Spirituality/Philosophy? Not sure where else it would fit.

SoleSource · 11/09/2013 22:47

Good idea !

I am happy and grateful for my supportive, caring, loving, fun, chatty, spontaneous, sexy, wealthy Husband, thank you Universe x

Mantella · 11/09/2013 23:25

Yes. Good idea. I can't wait to see the outcome of everyone's big ticket ordering.

UserError · 11/09/2013 23:37

Oooooh, I've never been a natural at anything before, apart from music. Grin

Next on my list is: 'I'm grateful for a steady income that allows us to pay our bills on time, save money for the future and have lots left over to spend on whatever we like.'

UserError · 11/09/2013 23:38

Oh, and 'I am happy I live in a clean, tidy and well-ordered house where all my possessions have a place they belong and can be easily found.'

SarahStrattonIsBackForJustABit · 11/09/2013 23:44

Could you all please help me order the missing season 2 Game of Thrones disc, I can't find it anywhere :(

wundawoman · 12/09/2013 08:25

Great thread! Love reading these stories!! Grin

HighJinx · 12/09/2013 10:18

SirRaymond I am in the process of doing a vision board and it is great. I am being quite specific about creating what I want so including pictures of where I would live, what hobbies I would do, even what I would wear. I'm a great believer in the power of visualisation. Have you had success with them?

Floppity I am no expert but ... as I understand it you get what you believe so if you say 'I am so happy that I have a baby' but you don't really expect that and you really believe 'I'm getting a baby mouse' then that is what you will get.

That's not to say that the universe doesn't have a sense of humour of course Wink

DorisShutt · 12/09/2013 10:21

Can someone point me at how to create a vision board?

I have a pinterest site and a boring day at work... Wink

HighJinx · 12/09/2013 10:24

Here you go Sarah

I am so happy that SarahStratton has found the missing season 2 Game of Thrones disc even though Jason Momoa is only in Season 1 Grin

HighJinx · 12/09/2013 10:34

Doris if you google 'how to create a vision board' there are loads of sites which explain it and give slightly different approaches.

I have gathered pictures of the sort of house I want to live in, the kitchen, bathroom, garden, views, the hobbies I would do, the car I would drive, I have also posted pictures of the sort of clothes I would wear if that was my life and I was that thin.

It's a bit like a mood board in that it creates a collage of the life that you want. You can focus it on one area if you like. The idea is to allow you to visualise as much as possible what your life would look like.

Some people have had incredible success with them. I met someone last year who found an old, long forgotten vision board when he was moving and the pictures he used on the board to represent the kind of house he wanted were the exact house that he was moving to. Shock Grin

onelittlepiglet · 12/09/2013 11:46

I was very skeptical so 'ordered' a yellow balloon. I don't like in the uk either and I'm very unlikely to see one where I live. Later that day I had to go through my amazon orders to check something. A few months ago I ordered some balloons for my DD's birthday and so there on my rod history as a picture of a bunch of balloons including a yellow one....! Weird!

The only think I would love right now is another baby - been trying for #2 for 6months and on luck so far so would dearly love to be pregnant by the end of the year and have a healthy baby in 2014 with my Dh....please!

MrsWickens · 12/09/2013 11:52

Does the cosmos have a negative impact if a friend keeps saying things like "we have such bad luck" or "hard going for us two, isn't it" or "really got bricks tied to us"? I keep asking her to think positive and responding with positive comments but am wondering if her negative thoughts are impacting on me. Anyone know?

aliasjoey · 12/09/2013 14:15

Sarah I'm new to this but I understand you're not supposed to refer to the 'missing DVDs' instead say you're so happy you found them? (Did I get that right, sirRaymond ?)

Well today I got a yellow balloon! Not convinced it wasn't there all along - but maybe that IS the key - to know what you want, and be ready to recognise it? Maybe the opportunities are already there, but we have to become aware of our goals....

Yeah, maybe I'm babbling. And I also got another parking space Smile

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 12/09/2013 14:42

I am joining in! Ok...I would like to complete my script and have an offer on the table for it by January 31st please. Thanks!

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 12/09/2013 14:43

MrsWickens yes that will impact you both badly...if she can't stop then you need to get away from her. Help her by answering each negative with a strong positive. She says "It's hard going for us isn't it?" you say "No its not...we're both very strong and so for us, success is easy" don't use weak words....no buts...no ifs and no "should be's" Smile

typhoontanya · 12/09/2013 15:19

Here goes:

I am so happy now that I have an abundance of money.

I am so happy now that my house is beautifully furnished.

I am so happy now that I have a job I absolutely love with less hours and double my current wage.
