Amberlight- prayer that the heart problems she has are temporary and that the beast cancer will not return. Pray for dh after his op.

Dutch Oma- dh has a lung disease requiring regular trips to hospital/drs and lots of rest. Church services are not always easy due to excessive noise causing problems for Bob.
Expat's dd suffering from leukaemia. Give thanks that she has a donor for transplant and pay for a good outcome!
FriendofDorothy- pray that the pregnancy will stick and bleeding to stop.
Gingercurl- things are stressful at home, studying for PhD, high blood pressure
heyyyo-dd with health issues.
Issypeach- work situation insecure for h and Issy. Prayer requested for the dcs one of whom has gone awol and the other at uni

Jan marriage, new baby and ongoing health problems
Jugglingwith?-job applications to work 1 to 1 with children and a husband who needs to appreciate all she does!
Lostmywellies- recently returned to the uk, friendships for dd and ds to settle into nursery. Possible knee op?

Lovelyman access arrangements and maintenance. (and his SO prefers kissing wookies? eeuuu)
Madhairday- reoccuring lung infections, dd with psoriasis/partial hearing and unhelpful school and getting bullied. SATs week. Madhair is writing a book! ?or at least she should be if she weren?t on mn?
MaryB- work and relationships at church. difficult situations socially for dc's. dd getting bullied.

Notevenamousie- curently undergoing treatment as an inpatient. recently lost her mum.
PositiveAttitude- soon to be working abroad for 2 years from 17th July!. Pray for dds1,2 and 3 staying behind. prayer also for current work situation and 3 jobs! (eek). Prayers for DB and PA?s family?s relationship with sil.
SESthebrave-prayer for husbands stressful job situation, which may involve going to Dubai (not what ses wants). The last few weeks of pregnancy and work. Pray for the baby to turn the right way round.

SweetestThing- just got the all clear from cancer and officially in remission. however, still has to deal with the after effects of surgery.
Teaandcakesplease- single parent to 2 young children. unsupportive parents re ds "being a toddler." prayer for new reliable friends, and one friend in particular!
Tuo-dd1 and dh to be more positive about her faith
Weegie Thank God that treatment is bring some relief to her condition, chronic inflammatory.Demyelinating polyneuropathy. Ongoing prayers for more improvement and adjusting to a new way of life for both weegie and he dh dd has Perthe's syndrome , where the hip joint dies then regrows. Thank God for an improvement in her condition and further improvements so no op is needed.

I'm in the area so popped in to Lincoln Cathedral to light a candle and add a prayer card for expat (Leigh) and all the family and also for my friends with the loss if their baby. Such a beautiful place.

Just catching up from the past few days. How very sad about Ailidh.

In haste... Am really tired and came here intending to post here before bed, but got caught up replying to a different post instead. Am hoping to have said something helpful there.

Praying for all, but remembering especially Jan and Kaykat. May God give you both strength to deal with your present difficulties.

Praying for strength for expat and for Faith's friends. May God hold them in their pain and sorry and help them to bear their losses. Lit a candle for Aillidh in the cathedral here too yesterday.

(Love Lincoln, though, Faith... a beautiful church - did you see the beautiful wood-carvings of the Stations of the Cross? It makes me cry!)

Praying for Oma and Bob, for PA as she gets ready to leave, for health for MHD, and for all on this thread - posting or lurking. God bless you all.

I give thanks that God seems to be using me in an amazing way at the moment. As i posted at the weekend, I was so pleased to be in the right place at the right time for a friend who had a very real touch of God in her life on Friday evening. It was amazing!! As she was talking, I felt I was being given Bible verses for her, I had taken a Bible to give her,(which was from God itself as I was a bit weirded out about giving a very vocal atheist a Bible, but I felt I should!) so I went through and highlighted all the verses which fitted with what she was saying. I spoke with her yesterday and she is still on fire and has been telling everyone she has spoken to about her experience. Her mum thinks she has suddenly gone crazy!!
Yesterday another friend asked if I could pop round to chat through some things with her. Another broken person who God is restoring. Such a privilege to be there to encourage and chat through things with her.
Today I have been asked to visit another friend. Please pray for that meeting!

I am so thankful and I want to encourage everyone on here. I have been "in the pit" where I really was clinging onto my faith by my finger tips and I got to the point of the "If you are really there God........." prayers. I felt totally abandoned by God for many years and could not make any sense of anything at all. Through that time I can now see that I was being strengthened and "trained" for now and for the future. Those who have had tough times can reach out to those in tough times.

I don't know what I am trying to say here, really. Just hang on in there everyone who is finding life more than they can cope with and a slog at the moment. God is there with you, He will take you THROUGH this time and use it to make you more the person He wants you to be so that He can use and bless you.

PA I totally understand what you're saying - a lot of us are in that phase of being pushed to our limits of what we can stand without being able to fathom why. You're in a period where you can draw on the wisdom of such an experience and because you held fast to the Lord in that time you can draw on His strength now to support others - is that about right? It's fantastic that God has put you in those situations and you've been brave enough to share the gospel with them! I will pray for cotinuing strength and wisdom for you.

I have to say I'm really glad I joined this thread - its encouraged me and pushed me to pray for others (when we had become rather inward looking). I feel like we've received a spiritual boost from it!

Wow, PA; that's great! So happy to hear of these positive moments after all the difficulties. And thanks for the encouragement, lovely to hear all that.

Thanks for those words PA. I'm a bit at the hanging on stage. So good to hear about your friend. :)

DD loved her induction day at high school. It will be alright....and breathe. Working hard not to put on her the bad experience I had of high school - it's her story, not mine. Plus she is much more confident and outgoing and go getting than I was at her age. She will be fine.

Jan, how's the voluntary work going?

Interesting serendipitous moment happened yesterday which could be seen as an answer to any prayers going heavenwards regarding my relationship with DH

• A good friend of ours (who came to us on a home placement when DS was a baby and has always kept in touch as our main baby-sitter) just dropped by yesterday evening. Was lovely to see her and I asked if she could baby-sit for us one Saturday evening soon - so, looking forward to a night out & hoping that will be good.

school have removed dd from the sen register despite her still needing help as she has a lifelong condition. I am a bit stressed as I assumed that this needed to be done in consultaion with parents.

Praying for everyone on fingertips. That surprises me bes. I'll be praying for answers and a resolution.

I've had a lovely text from my friend who lost the baby saying how touched they were we we're praying - that obviously its still very painful but that it means a lot, especially lighting the candle :) so I'm glad I sent the card.

We have been told today our best chance of conception is now IVF but they cannot refer me until my BMI is under 30 (it's currently top side of 30). I am but knew it was coming. I'm also scared because my weight is a massive issue for me and I know what's at stake. Prayer that I can tackle this head on - and get my op date soon so I can exercise again! - would be greatly appreciated.

• Perhaps you'll find it's the inspiration you need to lose a little weight - a friend of mine told me just this week that she's lost over 2 stone recently since the docs told her it would improve her chances of pregnancy
