Ah yes DO, I have indeed, hadn't associated it. Praying.

Musicposy - praying this rash clears up quickly and it's nothing nasty.

Packing today for the off tomorrow - can't wait for our holiday now. Weather not looking great, why couldn't half term be last week???

SESthebrave · 01/06/2012 09:48

Still here.....Finally starting to get grumpy.....5 days overdue......

DO - prayers for both you and Bob

MHD - prayers for weather and a great holiday

musicposy - welcome! Prayers for everything to go well today and for your rash to clear up

Prayers for everyone else - especially for holidays, GCSEs and good health

DutchOma · 01/06/2012 10:16

Bob says he is feeling quite positive today and can drink his tea and coffee with the thickener, so that's ok.

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 01/06/2012 10:23

please pray for the return of a lost suitcase from birmingham new street as h has managed to leave it on the train and they think it has been nicked. i have been shouting at talking to him on the phone and running round to find extra clothes for him. and telling him in no uncertain terms that I am not driving a 4 hour round trip to collect him some more.

Bluetinkerbell · 01/06/2012 10:44

Prayers for lost suitcase bes
and for nicer weather for everyone who couldn't be on holiday last week...
Prayers for babies to arrive soon and rashes to leave quickly!
Prayers for DO and Bob!

And for everyone else!

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 01/06/2012 11:04

Prayers please for enough energy for an afternoon working at playgroup - I have a slight headache but a couple of neurofen is helping ... next week is half-term so that might keep me going too. ( I've been there for a few weeks now, this working thing is hard work isn't it ! )

Nice to be with you all on here ... prayers for all from me too x

redwhiteandblueeyedsusan · 01/06/2012 11:57

i am still bloody here. I should be somewhere near tewksbury by now

SESthebrave · 01/06/2012 14:01

Ok so had enough now! Saw MW & baby in good position low down but still no sign of labour. Because of CS last time they won't book an induction or CS without me seeing Dr at hospital. Bank Holiday means no appointments til next Wednesday so I've to go to hospital tomorrow at 10.30am and wait til the one Dr on duty is free to see me and agree a plan! They don't know when Dr will be free though so could need to wait "a number of hours" to be seen! Oh well, guess it will be out one way or another in the next 10 days!

SESthebrave · 01/06/2012 14:04

BES - hope you are on your way now!
Prayers re suitcase

Juggling - prayers for headache to go and energy to appear!

DO - continued prayers and thanks that Bob can find some positivity today

Teaandcakeplease · 01/06/2012 18:43

I am feeling really really down tonight. I'm not sure if it is due to the fact I have a full week ahead with a 3 & 4 year old who find it hard to play nicely together in a small flat, so I need to keep them busy, which requires a wealth of emotional energy and enthusiasm, or if it is the fact that I long to have a male role model in their life and obviously some help at times? ExH now lives 40 mins away and see's them once a week for an afternoon only. So it's all me, me, me.

LM has far too much on his plate for me to even consider asking him to spend time with me and my children. As yet he hasn't met them. Too soon really. I have no idea whether things will progress once things settle down for him. He seems to have had his fingers thoroughly burned thanks to his ExW, I just know right now that God has made it clear many times that I am doing the right thing walking alongside him and praying for him. He is a good man and when we see each other it is lovely Sad

Tuo · 01/06/2012 22:08

Aww... TaCP, I'm sorry you are feeling so down. It must be very hard for you on your own with two under-5s, and so little help. I really feel for you. Keeping them busy is definitely the key... but I can see that that's exhausting for you. Can you line up some treats for yourself for once they are in bed each night (doesn't have to be anything big, but just something that makes you stop and take some 'me time' - some chocolate, some nice hand cream, a TV programme that you've looked forward to... whatever)? I pray that you have a good week and I pray for LM too, for a resolution to the court case, so that he can give a bit more of his attention to wonderful you!

Praying too for DO and Bob. I hope that the machine will help his breathing and that he'll cope with the thickened fluids, which - I must admit - do sound revolting. (Sorry - unhelpful, I know.)

Praying that BES got off on her holidays safely and that the suitcase turned up.

Praying for SES. Come on baby! We're all waiting now! Praying that your LO arrives soon and that you don't have too wait too long tomorrow (if s/he's not already here by then...).

Praying for MHD for continued better health, for good weather, and for a wonderful holiday in your new camper. We looked at getting one of them a few years ago, but dh has a 'thing' about towing, so we bought a 'normal' tent which is the size of a small village instead! Wink

Praying for musicposy (hello and welcome!) for the rash to go away and/or for a non-scary explanation to present itself. To late to pray for the skating test, but I hope it went well.

Also too late to pray for Juggling's afternoon at work, but praying for a relaxing half term instead.

Hello Blue. Nice to see you. Praying that you are keeping well and not too stressed.

Praying also for expat's dd, UA's ds, and for anyone on this thread that I've forgotten.

I am getting the dds ready to go to stay with my parents for the half term week. Dh is already away visiting a friend, so I'll be 'home alone' for a few days. I need to write (for work) and am hoping for some peace and for the power of concentration, which I seem to have mislaid somewhere, to return. I need to get this done. If you see me on here (more than my once-a-day round-up!) throw stuff at me to make me get back to work. Will have a nice day tomorrow, though, as stopping for lunch with friends before meeting my parents (we do an 'exchange of prisoners' halfway... have it off to a fine art now!) and then seeing a friend in the evening too. I've been very down about work stuff (trying to stay on top of things) but am putting my 'out of office' on now and pretending not to be here for a few days! [Tuo dons dark glasses and false beard and hides.]

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 01/06/2012 22:40

Afternoon at nursery was fine - thanks for all your thoughts and prayers - looking forward to half-term week now - prayers for the coming week for all of you too, especially for SES and baby x

jan2011 · 02/06/2012 09:22

been reading and praying for everyone. my dd started crawling about a week ago, and since then i have had hardly any time to type online! the house isn't baby proofed yet and i can't take my eyes off her. at the same time she is refusing spoonfeeds so im going down the finger food approach and finds that this keeps her occupied for awhile.
DO i am glad you and Bob are back, i was sorry to hear he is having his liquids thickened andhope he is adjusting well to it - im sure you are so exhausted and am praying for both of you.
prayers for all of you over half term, for babies to come, for those going away and those moving house and for those that just need Gods strength in a new way.

Teaandcakeplease · 02/06/2012 11:42

Oh Jan you are so good. I used to put DD in the travel cot/ play pen, so I could have a cuppa Blush

jan2011 · 02/06/2012 11:51

teacakes things so stressful! changed and bathed her twice and too exhausted for much else today. she is full of beans continually! we have still toget a travel cot or else she would be in it! finding it tough

amberlight · 02/06/2012 12:07

Keeping prayers going...

Teaandcakeplease · 02/06/2012 12:23

Oh dear, can you strap her in her high chair and put CBeebies on for a breather? Or pop her in her cot with some toys for a moment and sit beside it with a cuppa?

I freecycled my travel cot about 18 months ago now. Could you pick one up on yours?

ExH has just picked up the kids and taken them off to his until bedtime. He was meant to have them last Saturday and had to cancel. He takes them once a fortnight for a few hours with his girlfriend and one afternoon a week in between he comes here. Feel lonely now and wish I could just meet up with LM for the day. Not going to happen though, with his current situation, distance and how busy he is Sad So I shall do some household chores and some typing I'm behind on.

jan2011 · 02/06/2012 14:09

teaandcakes why don't you use this time to stick your headphones on and go for a relaxing walk, or go and get your nails done, or something nice for JUST YOU - you only get this couple of hours once a fortnight and you deserve some me time its well earned.

currently she is sleeping on top of me - i am dying for a cuppa. i tried walking her to sleep in the pram but it didn't work so im stuck here till i can't take it anymore then ill put her in the highchair :)

Teaandcakeplease · 02/06/2012 14:42

I will feel more at peace if I do some washing, run the hoover round, pick up toys and empty the dishwasher and then tackle the typing. I have eaten some lunch and watched last nights episode of The Mentalist. That was my rest Grin

I won't have this length of time to myself again for a while, as you say. But I find the mornings whilst DS is at pre school a bit too short to get as much done in, as I'd like. So here's my chance! As I said if I had my way and LM lived closer, that would be my perfect day. But he has too much on Sad

lostmywellies · 02/06/2012 21:11

Prayers for all, especially

...DO and Bob - glad he seemed positive last time you wrote; hope the recent developments are helping him.
...tacp - I think you're doing fantastically. Two dcs that age with no help for a week is definitely a daunting prospect, and on top of that, you are supporting LM, not only when he gets in touch, but with your ongoing commitment and thoughts and prayers at other times too. It will all be worth it one day - God works all things together for good for those who love him.
...for happy holidays for all who are on them
...for musicposy's mysterious rash
...jan - when all else fails, get out the pushchair and get outside! You don't get a cuppa that way, but it does feel so relaxing just walking and letting your mind wander after responding to an active baby in the house. :)
...SES - as you say, sometime in the next 10 days... Hope today was positive.
...Tuo - for a productive few days in a quiet house.

Bluetinkerbell · 03/06/2012 09:20

Doing the prayers in church today! Shall include you all in my thoughts Wink

SESthebrave · 03/06/2012 10:48

Prayers for removal of grumpiness and baby eviction please! 40+7 now and more than fed up. Not helped by the (to be expected I guess) texts, messages asking about progress.
Classic from SIL. She texted asking for an update and in my reply I asked what she and DB had planned for the weekend. Her reply was that they'd been hoping to come and see the new baby!
Induction booked for Friday so prayers that labour starts first please!

Continued prayers for all of you.

Jan - I never thought I would use a playpen with DS but it became a daily thing so I could get essentials done.

TACP - hope you made the most of your few hours

Blue - how's things?

DO - prayers for you and Bob

Remembering Lost, Juggling, PA, Amber, BES, MHD, FoD* and others too

jan2011 · 03/06/2012 11:00

thinking of you all

Bluetinkerbell · 03/06/2012 12:49

Prayers done! :) Included you all!

SES prayers for baby eviction! I'm ok, 16 weeks today, slightly anxious, but have a reassurance scan next Tuesday, one of my lovely friends is taking me up as DH has to work.

Our street is all gazebo-upt for our street party this afternoon Wink Should actually go and have a look to see if I can help with something, not that I can do a lot Wink

PositiveAttitude · 03/06/2012 15:37

Just dashing in.. we had been enjoying a lovely jubilee celebration at church when our youth minister had a text to say that one of the young people had just died. She was 17 years old, diagnosed with Leukaemia 10 months ago, but after treatment was apparently in remission. Died suddenly today. Please pray for her family and all the young people who are going to be really affected by this sad news.
