Thanks for all prayers for all. I love that phrase DO - "Underneath are the everlasting arms"

I once shared that in a Quaker Meeting whilst holding DS in my arms. It was great to feel my arms supporting DS as I shared that with everyone !

jan2011 · 27/04/2012 09:47

morning...thinking of you all

thats beautiful underneath are the everlasting arms. if we fall we will just fall into them. we cannot escape the presence of God...praise God.

Tuo · 27/04/2012 10:48

Agreed... Beautiful. Thank you, Oma.

Prayers for your MRI, Beccarooooo (random number of o's! Wink)

In haste... will focus on work, will focus on work, will focus on... ooh, wonder what's for lunch...

weegiemum · 27/04/2012 13:08

I'm home today after 2 days as a day patient. Knackered!! The IVIgs are a bit like a transplant, it's someone else's immune system going into yours. So while your body gets used to it, it makes you very tired. I slept all night, had breakfast. Slept all morning and have had lunch. Going now for a wee afternoon nap!

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 27/04/2012 13:27

Have a good rest weegie - glad you're home Smile

Becaroooo · 27/04/2012 13:35

Glad you are ok weegie

MRI cancelled...scanner broken! Am going on Tuesday now.

oma How lovely, thank you for sharing that

blackeyedsusan · 27/04/2012 14:04

Teaandcakeplease · 27/04/2012 17:59

Well apparently he has no daughter and never wishes to see me again. I've been told today. If it was anyone else I would say heat of the moment and that they'd calm down but my dad hasn't spoken civilly to his sister in over 40 years. He can hold a grudge and make your life a misery and he will speak badly of me to my siblings (I have 4 brothers) without a shadow of a doubt, he spoke badly of my brother and made his life awful for 10 years until he fixed it by apologising and not expecting one back. I'm not prepared to do that. But Mum and I have cleared the air today and hopefully have made progress. Feel really wrung out.

MaryBS · 27/04/2012 19:08

That was an amazing thing you did today with your mum TACP. Hugs...

DutchOma · 27/04/2012 19:31

Well done, TACP. He may not have a daughter (he certainly does not deserve one as nice as you) but you still have a Father in Heaven.
Your brothers should know better than to listen to a vindictive man, who has already made so many people miserable.
Try and be as nice to your mother as you possibly can, she must find it hard to live with him, but in the end it is her choice to go on living with him. It is your choice how much 'head'room you give to him.

Teaandcakeplease · 27/04/2012 19:41

I still have the shakes. I didn't get them until after she'd gone.

My mum gets on well with Dad after over 40 years of marriage, she knows how to cope with his foibles and in fact the aggression was because he wanted me to stop hurting mum. But nobody should be spoken to like that and unbeknown to me the problem began building in January. When Mum and I spoke I had hurt her in January unknowingly it seems and it began building from there. Wish she'd just spoken to me. I never meant to. I was just trying to maintain boundaries and the space I'd needed due to their criticisms of my children and my parenting in the past, but I'd been honest and asked for space Confused This needn't have got to this stage. So tired. Wish I could have a hug from my nice man but he lives an hours drive away and is busy tonight but he has been very supportive in the last 24 hours.

jan2011 · 27/04/2012 20:04

really sorry teaandcakeplease i hope you start to feel calmer again soon - what a nightmare to be put through all that, you were very brave. hugs and prayers

blackeyedsusan · 27/04/2012 22:32

tea, it sounds no loss... still upsetting though to be disowned... says more about him than you

I have gone up in the world. literally. the chais arrived... early.. we only just made it home in time. I am at the computer on a chair now, instead of a low footstool. got to fit 3 more chairs somewhere wher ds will not knock them over

jan2011 · 28/04/2012 07:05

Morning all

thats great BES :)

Psalm 3 The Lord is my shield, the Lord is my Glory and the lifter of my head.

i pray he lifts our heads today from where we are, to get a fresh perspective, to enable and strengthen us and help us go on, to know the glory and joy and pride and love of being His children today.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 28/04/2012 08:43

Ooh, I like what you did there jan - following on from bes going up in the world with her new chairs Grin

"Love lift us up where we belong .... ! "

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 28/04/2012 09:04

Hey check out "Love lift us up" on Youtube for a rather cute Lion King version Smile

Hope everyone has a good day.

"There are mountains in our way. But we climb them one step at a time"

(something along those lines ... Smile)

blackeyedsusan · 28/04/2012 12:05

talking of ds's who break you... I have gone down in the world again... as the footstool has cushions and things are (ahem) a little delicate at the moment.

h is going to be late... the train was late and he has missed his connection. he has been ordered to call in on the pharmacist on the way.

late arival is a bit good news bad news... morre time to tidy, more time to referee too.. they are currntly playing in the playpen that was stuffed under the folded down table, was extracted last night to make room for chairs and
has been set up by the children as a den..

Teaandcakeplease · 28/04/2012 12:52

Lol.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 28/04/2012 13:21

Oh yes, diverting from bess bottom for a moment - and back to the song - of course that should be

"But we climb them - one step everyday" (to rhyme with "in our way" Blush)

-But maybe not as much Blush as bes - I don't know, what's been happening ?!

Hope afternoon goes well anyway, bes - and for everyone else too x
