I thought it was time to set up a new thread for Christmas.

Will just leave it short and give you all the opportunity to add your own prayers.

Nickelbabe Prayers of thanks for the delivery of her little girl, continuing prayers for her and the baby. We look forward to you to be able to update us.

MHD prayers that the medical team will get their act together, but also that you will be able to be at home and stay at home over Christmas.

Soozi we know how hard things have been for you for such a long time. Prayers that you will find the strength to cope, especially at this Christmas time.

Ah, poor DD2, PA.
Thanks though that she seems to have turned a crucial corner. My good friends dd had meningitis a few years ago but is fine now.
Horrible for you all though, so scary.

ds has just been sick. there go the plans to go out this weekend.

My dd has just been sick too - in her case it's due to a really nasty cold.

Thanks for all who prayed for me. The pile of work is still huge, but I feel calmer about it, and that's the best I could have hoped for (no amount of praying is going to clear my email backlog, is it?).

Sending vrrooooom prayers to all with car troubles, too. Wish I could magic my dad (fab mechanic - now retired, but still fab) to all of you to sort them out. My electric window motor seems to have packed up. Window got stuck in the 'down' position today, which was not good in this weather! I have persuaded it up now and just need to remember not to open it... EVER! (I have to swipe myself in and out of the work carpark, so MUST remember to open the door rather than putting the window down!).

Well, TUO we could try praying for your e.mail pile to be supernaturally removed, but I have a feeling you would like that even less than having it to deal with.

You could try whizzing through your emails and binning all the junk Totally

DH has just done this with ours after his trip and it's super-trim now !

tuo. now that is unfortunate. (passes duct tape to tape over the button) that was the only way I could stop h fom turrning on the shower when it was brroken.

half my house is held together by duct tape. the top of the flip flops was held to the soles with duct tape, till the top came out completely and now there is just a duct tape loop. the side of ds's cot is held on with duct tape until the time he has stopped attacking dd and he can be left in the room with her safely.

DO - I needed that. Thankyou. I have actually been having a huge doubt-fest this week which has co-incided with me going down with another infection, the car breaking, dd and ds both having an awful time at school, the job seeming too much and depressing at present and everything just looking bleak. I needed to hear those words. I guess we are on the battlefield.

I just feel like it's all too much. I can't be doing with these lungs. Last night I lay awake in so much pain and wondered how long they were going to last. I feel sad.

Oh MHD - prayers you'll start to feel better soon and that things will improve for DD and DS, the car and the job.

PA - marvellous news about your DD. Prayers for her continued recovery.

MHD , gentlest ones. Praying that you will feel that the Lord is with you. I know that He is, but we don't always feel it, or can pray for the experience of His love around us.
Sometimes I feel I cannot pray at all, which I think is probably alright, because there are other people, known and unknown praying for me. And: "the Spirit intercedes for us in our weakness".

There was a chance that DD2 was going to be allowed out of hospital today, but I have just been told that she has had to have an IV put back in, so that might be postponed. Please pray that she gets out soon and can recover quickly. On the 14th she is supposed to be travelling to Ghana with her Gap year crowd on a mission. She so desperately wants to be well enough to go and not to have the worry of her falling ill again out there. Thank you

dd's face has swollen up after a trip out in the snow. it may be her gloves, the cold, her new coat (second hand ) or a virus that is the cause. she is under close observation. i will check on her before bed and i the night too if necessary.

Missed you all. Been getting stuck into work, money probs and things and things. ... Reading through past posts and praying for all. For healing, confidence, better things.

If anyone's still up, could they please say a little prayer for me? Being hassled in one of my jobs and on receiving end of an awful lot of pettiness. Quite tearful about this - have prayed but could do with some back up!!

Bless you, TUO! Methinks your kind prayer was answered! Received a late email (posted moments before yours on MN) from said colleague. Sort of soft pedaling. Wrote back - firm but polite with practical suggestions as to how things might be communicated in future. Ended cheerily. Do people who send sharply worded emails realise just how hurtful they can be? One of the definite downsides to electronic communication.

Issy... Wow, and thank you God! Email is so insidious... people too often just bang down whatever first comes to mind and then hit 'send' without thinking it through. I'm glad your colleague seems to be feeling more conciliatory.

Prayers for everyone else. Like DO, I often feel I am rubbish at praying, totally inarticulate and a mumbling fool, but God hears the words we don't say.

Big PET CT scan at hospital today - this is the critical one. Results on Friday, so would welcome prayers that the outcome is good.
