Do not feel
totally
personally
irrevocably
responsible for everything.
That's my job.
Love, God

I like that a lot Grin

Well, here's the round-up:

MadHairDay - Prayers needed for friend's DD who is anorexic and is still not eating. She is being tube fed, but she keeps pulling the tube out. Sad Prayers for the girl from MHD's children's school who was recently run over outside the school. She is through the worst, but has broken legs and pelvis - a swift healing process please, Lord. Prayers for a friend of MHD's whose DH has recently left her and for her DH Gran who recently had a Stroke. Lots of prayers for MHD's lovely DD who is suffering horribly from Psoriasis and has Dyspraxia and is experiencing bullying at school Sad Prayers for MHD struggles health-wise too!!

MrsC - Prayers for her sis who has just started a new job after being a SAHM for 5 yrs - how is she settling in, MrsC? Prayers also for a friend's mum who had a cancer DX, but died very suddenly and unexpectedly recently; and for the little family from MrsC's Toddler Group who recently lost their DH / daddy.

Caz - Finding the New Year so hard. DH should get some test results back soon - has he had them Caz? Caz's health has not been the best recently either and she has had a DX of Tonsillitis again. Boost her up, Lord. Prayers also for the family and friends of the 8 year old from Caz' class that died recently.

Amber- Prayers for the friends and family of E who died recently. Amber very bravely got through her recent op; but is now facing 6 months of Chemo followed by an Op for a DX of breast cancer. The cancer has been caught quite early and is treatable, but it is a fast-moving sort of Cancer and Amber is awaiting further tests to make sure the cancer hasn't spread. Hold Amber so so close at this time, Lord - and her family too as they come to terms with having to support their "rock". xx

CaptainCaveman - Prayers required for her DH in his hunt for a new job .....

JentlyDoesIt - Is coping with DP in prison, but struggling too - needing lots of prayers for resilience and strength, especially for her two little ones. Place lots of amazing, supportive people around her, Lord. xx

barleywood - Needs prayers in her hunt for a new church to go to; and to contribute to as well ....

TeaandCakePlease - Is struggling with juggling ..... she feels in despair with her OU degree and with the task of life in general. xx

NotQuiteGrownUp - Popped by to ask for prayers as she is struggling with juggling too!! xx

Mary - Has been quite down of late and needs lots of encouragement and prayer Smile Please pray for Mary's DD's friend who is currently not eating and being tube fed; for S who trained with Mary who is having tests following the discovery of a lump on her spine; and for Mary's DF who is facing brain surgery after a DX of Chiari Malformation - she has a DH and a young DS.

livvylouis - Popped by to ask for prayers for her FIL who had been admitted to hospital with a racing heart.

NotSoFarNow - Needs lots of prayers for relationships - particularly with one of her DDs. Two of her DDs have recently dropped out of college and NSFN is struggling to know how best to support them and get alongside them.

Hermya - Has been having problems with anxiety of late. Is fretful and worried.

BoxofDelights - Has been spending a lot of time recently sorting out her financial position. Her anxiety is still bad and life is still tough.

blackeyedsusan - Is in the process of a possible separation from her violent husband. She has 2 children of 2 and 4 yrs; and is struggling.

practicallyimperfect - Prayers for the family and friends of Ben, a 17 yr old from the school she works at who was found dead in a river a few days ago. It was an accidental death and he looks to have slipped and fallen in on his way home from a gig late at night. Sad

shineoncrazydiamond - Asked for prayers for a DF's DS, little Archie who sadly died after complications surrounding a traumatic delivery. Archie was a much wanted baby and it is a terrible, tragic loss for the couple Sad

gingercurl - Asked for prayers for her relationship with her DS who is rather a "mummy's boy" - he won't let her DH do anything for him at all and it is taking it's toll.

BlessedAssurance - Her close friend was stabbed to death in S.Africa while defending another friend Sad Prayers for all those who knew and love him. xx

shieldbug - Popped by to ask for prayers for a distant relation of hers (13 yr old boy) who was having a big operation today. The operation could possibly leave him with difficulties being able to eat or, at worst, brain damage. So hoping the op went as well as possible ....

CaptainDippy - It would be great if you could all pray for a dear friend of mine who has terminal breast cancer. Due to being a "guinea pig" for some pioneering drugs, she has been with us far longer than we ever could've hoped or expected (10 yrs!!!!); but the drugs are no longer working and she knows it is nearly time to say "goodbye". She has zoomed off to go and see family in Australia and will be embarking on a tour around the UK once she is back. She 's an incredible woman and I just pray she can do everything she wants to do before she gets too poorly and that the end will be so beautiful for her, because she deserves it.

GET PRAYING!!!!

Hello and welcome beanlet. Prayers that your housing situation will resolve itself soon.

I've been away for a few days and have read quickly through the thread. Prayers for everyone mentioned.

BES - I read a tip somewhere about how to deal with kids that unstrap themselves from car seats / buggies etc. The suggestion was that you get a harness, the type that you attach reigns to, and put it on the kid backwards so that the catch is at the back. Most of the harnesses have D rings that can be attached to the existing car seat or buggy harness. If you need one let me know. DS2 has now outgrown his harness so I could send you one if necessary.

blackeyedsusan · 19/02/2011 17:52

I haave got 2 harnessess. will think how they can be used. i think I can find a way to make it work. will fiddle about with it next time i aam in the car.

mathanxiety · 20/02/2011 00:20

I posted on a previous one asking for a prayer or two and I want to say a big thank you -- a good few things have worked out that were not looking too good at the time. Got some good news yesterday.

DutchOma · 20/02/2011 10:01

Thank you Mathanxiety for coming back to give thanks. It's God who has worked for the good of those who love Him that has brought you this outcome and I'm very glad to hear about it.

Hello all, have just read through the last couple of days and prayed. Libra - glad it went ok, mathanxiety, thanks for letting us know - that's great :)

Went to our godson's baptism yesterday which was lovely, nice service and get together, dcs had a ball too. Have a busy few days with half term and a lot else going on, thanks for your prayers re my ever errant lungs, they are behaving themselves better today :) Did go to my gp on friday and they hadn't got my latest sample back despite giving it in a week before - aaagh, so have to ring next week to see what to do. However she put me on other super strength abs so hopefully they will help. I am praying to stay out of hospital.

Please pray also for friends anorexic dd again - they have said they are moving her somewhere else, but it will be near London so too far away for her family to go see her every day, will have to be at the weekend and incredibly expensive, and they are not made of money. I am pretty worried, but in some ways thankful they have found her somewhere which may help.

amberlight · 20/02/2011 16:19

Prayers anew for everyone...

thejaffacakesareonme · 20/02/2011 20:42

Prayers for your friends dd MHD. It is such a terrible disease.

Libra - it's great that the meeting went well. Are you going back to the church group this week?

I'd be grateful for prayers for a holiday club that my church is running tomorrow. There will be quite a few children there who do not have any regular contact with a church and it may be one of the few chances they get all year to hear about Jesus.

Hermya321 · 20/02/2011 21:13

I'm so so pants at keeping up of late!!!

Jaffa Prayers for your holiday club, I've done a few of those in my time. They're always hard work but so so much fun.

MHD Prayers for your friends DD.

Well we've had a rip roaring time this past weekend in the H household. We've been on a yoof weekend where God was so so good to us. Typically we didn't organise enough but in his graciousness God blessed everything and we managed to get stuff sorted. It was Dh's first time doing a sermon from up the front as well. From what I heard (I was getting the boy off to sleep) he did really well and everyone was really blessed by it.

blackeyedsusan · 21/02/2011 06:52

Urg. it's too early to be up at half term but dd has an appointment at 9 and we will have to walk. (slow) ds has an appointment tomorrow early too. will read and pray later when I have woken up.

MaryBS · 21/02/2011 07:14

Would welcome prayers please, both for me and for our church. Important meeting tonight which could affect the future direction of our church, and indeed my ministry there.

notsofarnow · 21/02/2011 07:45

Have just read through feb thread and praying.

you lot have supported me through the last 5 years and there has been a lot of heartache and tears so I thought I would come and share a bit of the good and how God answers prayer.

back in Jan I kept giving our officer ideas for sermon illustrations etc till in the end one sat morning when I was bored he challenged me to write a sermon. So I did, the next challenge was when are you going to preach it? so decision made that it would be yesterday.

Inbetween that time the dd1&2 went to musicians counsels and they and df met a bloke who df has known for years, discovered that his divorce had just come through, had a conversation with officer on way home in car who to cut a long story short messsaged him asking if he was looking for a woman.

emailed back and again to cut a long strory short i decided to contact him on fb 11 days ago and oh my life how God works when he wants to. We made an immediate connection, have spent hours on the phone, met on thurs, he came on sun to support me doing the meeting and then came back to mine for lunch. kids think hes great.

I cant explain the connection that there is there apart from it is from God. We even prayed together on our first meeting, i only prayed a handful of times with xdh and we were in minsitry. God is at the centre of this relationship, it feels like i've known him ages, and to top it all officer said on sat eve. You have been obediant to God writing sermon and doing meeting and look how he has rewarded you.

Our God is a great Big God and he holds us in his hands. His timing is perfect his message is clear.

I just want to say a really big thankyou for all your support and encouragement over the years and here's to greater things.

amberlight · 21/02/2011 07:51

Hurrah!!!!

Prayers anew for all....

MaryBS · 21/02/2011 08:09

DutchOma · 21/02/2011 09:09

madhairday · 21/02/2011 09:13

NSFN :) That's brilliant.

Praying for the meeting tonight, Mary, that you will know God holding and surrounding you...

MaryBS · 21/02/2011 12:22

Thanks, am feeling really sociophobic at the moment, and struggling to snap out of it...

LibraPoppyGirl · 21/02/2011 15:24

DutchOma praise indeed. Amen xx

blackeyedsusan · 21/02/2011 19:54

Mary have prayed.how did it go?

tacp how are the dcs? are they better?

Teaandcakeplease · 21/02/2011 20:19

DS still has runny nappies but the NHSdirect website says it can last for 10 days. But he seems ok in himself apart from a vague nappy rash I'm dealing with, with nappy cream.

Both are waking intermittently at night still, not sure what's going on. My two good sleepers I felt smug about for months have regressed Confused And I'm shattered due to it. Going to try for an early night again.

Feeling anxious about money, my MOT and road tax are due this month and right now I'm hoping for some sort of miracle financially. Wish I'd put £10 aside for months in prep but it didn't occur to me.

thejaffacakesareonme · 21/02/2011 21:54

Thanks for all of your prayers. The holiday club was great. Loads and loads of kids turned up.

Mary - how has the meeting gone? I saw your post earlier and have been praying that everything has worked out OK.

Great news NSFN.

MaryBS · 21/02/2011 22:12

Am only just back from the meeting. Completely shattered, but in many ways was better than expected. Still not sure of the direction, and I do have some very valid concerns, but it wasn't the total disaster I was fearing.

CaptainDippy · 21/02/2011 22:50

Zooooming by with love & prayers for all - and a BIG Grin for NSFN - Hee Hee! you little minx Wink Lots of prayers as you embark on this adventure sweetie xx

Hi all, firstly my apologies for being awol for a while. I've been finding everything in life such an effort so have been quieter than normal on MN. I'll admit I haven't read through the thread so if someone wouldn't mind PMing me a quick update of prayers needed that would be great.

DH's lumber results arrived 2 weeks ago - they've basically not told us anything at all. Nothing nasty has been found and I thank God for that because this is good news, everything was within normal levels. But what is hugely frustrating is that we are still no closer to a diagnosis or any form of treatment to try and make things better. The appointment to see the neurologist isn't until the 5th April, by which time he will have had these problems for a year...

Everything otherwise is ongoing. I continue to struggle with my grief. However I find God has been giving me nudges recently. The pastors wife asked the Sunday before last if I would allow her to sit with me to pray for us. She prayed for when we conceive our next child and for his protection through another pregnancy. She said this had been on her mind a lot for a few days leading up to this Sunday. Now what I found completely amazing is that I ovulated the day after and I hadn't told anyone at church we were trying to conceive again. I find God's timing in prompting her thoughts and prayers incredible.

Yesterday a friend of my cousins (so I barely know her) messaged me on FB and said she was praying that God would bless us with another child soon. Again, considering she has no idea we're trying again I find her timing incredible too.

I'm hoping and praying it is God being with us. We're half way through the two week wait and although it would be stupid of me to get my hopes up that there will be a BFP next week I must admit the nudges around this time have got me wondering if this is God's time for us. We'll soon see, I hope we are, and equally hope I won't be feeling too crushed if we're not. It is encouraging somewhat anyway and I'm coping with the 2 week wait far better than I did last month.

Please would you also pray about this. That God will surround us with his protection for another pregnancy and help to calm me somehow to get through it sanity wise.

I'm trying very hard to continue to learn to lean on him, although hope and faith is feeling rather fragile, it is so had to really believe we'll ever get our take home baby, so the nudges and reminders in my life are exactly what I need. God obviously knows this too as he's been directing other peoples thoughts. Jeremiah 29:11 has been on my mind a lot recently and I'm trying hard to cling to that. God's plan is to give me a future hope and happiness not despair.

Anyway, sorry for very self indulgent post. I will try catching up on thread.

blackeyedsusan · 22/02/2011 07:49

Hi caz, I have seen you around on other threads. I have prayed for the 2 week eternity. It can be a very long 2 weeks can't it!
