Hello! Grin Thought today would be a good & apt day to start a new thread Smile

Let's hope it is an Exciting and Blessed year of New Beginnings for us all Smile

Here's the summary from the last thread:

katsh - Prayers for her brother who's marriage has just ended rather traumatically Sad He and his ex are sharing their children 50:50 at the moment and will be starting court proceedings for access etc very soon. They really need your prayers.

MadHairDay - Prayers needed for her friend's DD who is currently in a very bad way with Anorexia. Her organs are shutting down & she is being tube-fed Sad Prayers also needed for other friend's and their DS who has just had a DX of Leukemia Sad; and for MHD's DF who's husband has just left her Sad This is going to be such a tough year for them, hold them all closely, Lord. Praise though for recent favourable results for MHD's recent lung capacity etc tests Smile

TeaandCakePlease - Her DF who has had a recent DX of breast cancer (which has spread to her lymph nodes) has just had her 1st course of Chemo. She needs prayers for the hard times ahead, as do her family. Prayers also needed for her friend's DS, William who has special needs, he has just come out of hospital where he was having brain seizures every 20 mins. He is home now with special meds.

JaffaCakeAddict - Did your pregnant friend who was snowed-in have her baby safely???? ....and did your sis and family make it home for Christmas!!? Wink

LoveBeingaDaddysGirl - Lost her father at the end of November and suffered a m/c at the beginning of Dec. Such a hard time for LBADG and her family. Hold them close, Lord.

M44 - Prayers for her poor DS whose Eczema is being terribly exacerbated by the weather at the moment Sad

MaryBS - Her BIL has been DX with a secondary brain tumour and will now require special care at home. Prayers for him and for his wife whose health hasn't been too good recently either. These are such hard time for them both.Sad Prayers also needed for Mary's knee which recently collapsed and is causing Mary a lot of pain and discomfort; and for Mary's DD's friend who is currently in an Eating Disorder's Clinic, she is only 11 Sad

TotallyUnheardOf - Prayers for her as she seeks to find a church to attend where she lives; and for a more positive attitude to her faith from those around her. Praise for friends who has recently had a BFP after commencing fertility treatment Grin

CaptainCaveman - Her DH has been acquitted of misconduct at work Smile He is now looking for another job, so prayers for success in this would be great Smile

WisteriaWoman - Prayers for family, especially her mum as they settle her father who has Dementia into a care home.

amber - Will need an op in Jan 2011 after the results of scary tests, which she bravely undertook a couple of weeks ago. Prayers for her friend's DS who is in hospital with bad Flu - how is he doing??

Caz&Belle - Has got through her 1st Christmas since losing Belle; but still awaits results of DH's lumbar puncture and finding out what is causing his poor health.

TooBlessed - Hoping that TooBlessed got to Zimbabwe with her family and has had a wonderful time with them Smile

gingercurl - Prayers for her friend and her DF who have been the targets of some appalling behaviour, which has meant the DS has had to move schools. Prayers for 2011 to be a much better year for them.

DutchOma - Has Bob home after a hospital and rest home stay Smile He is doing well and making progress. Smile

JentlyDoesIt - Really needs our prayers at this time as her DH has been taken to start a 6 year prison sentence following a guilty verdict in court just before Christmas. Jently is understandably devastated and is struggling. Uphold her during these dark times, Lord.

BoxofDelights - Posted the following: ". To cut a long and complex story short, a couple of years ago I had a miscarriage and the aftermath of this revealed various problems with (longterm) relationship and it ended. The emotional fallout also led me to confront issues of abuse in my childhood by family members (which I had been trying to cope with, put to one side and hide)which happened for many years." She has cut ties with her family and a lot of her friends as a result of difficult circumstances and is so wanting 2011 to be a year of reconciliation and renewal; and we join her in these prayers Smile

PositiveAttitude - Is finally feeling better for the 1st time since July Smile - Yippee!! Prayers for a continued fantastic recovery Smile

mufti -'s old Pastor died on 28.12.2010. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Prayers especially for his family at this time.

Last, but by no means least - Praise for the safe arrival of Saliswan's DS Thomas on 17.12.2010, weighing 7lb 8oz at 37 weeks - Hurrah!! Grin

Think that is all - but please fill in where I have missed out - and GET PRAYING!!!! Smile

May 2011 be a year of Renewal, Healing & Blessing for us all; and all our friends, families - and enemies too!! WinkGrin

Praying MHD, CazandBelle and Hermya, that peace and love may reign in your hearts. God's blessing on you all and those whom you love.

Praying for Amber, especially for Wednesday.

Today has been bad and its also been good, because I've really struggled and have been able to tell the person who MAY be able to do something about it. Please God, help.

TotallyUnheardOf · 16/01/2011 16:44

Prayers for all... especially for Caz, for Amber, for Hermya, for MHD's family, and for you Mary.

amberlight · 17/01/2011 07:14

Prayers continuing for everyone...

CazandBelle · 17/01/2011 07:46

thanks for prayers. Haven't slept for more than 20 mins at a time all night because of struggling to breathe. Ringing GPs at 8, I can't wait to get on some antibiotics although I've no idea how I will swallow them atm.

madhair sorry to hear about dh's gran. praying for your family.

MyrrhyBS · 17/01/2011 09:58

Caz, have you got an appointment? Praying for you...

I am a bit argh. Person who ought to be helping me is so stressed she is struggling to support herself. I've offered prayer support, and am trying to support her that way, but if she doesn't help me, I don't know WHAT is going to happen :(. I guess there's only one thing for it...

CazandBelle · 17/01/2011 11:54

Been to Dr's - it is tonsilitis as I was expecting. Please pray antibiotics kick in by end of day.

prayers for you Mary xx

DutchOma · 17/01/2011 12:05

Good call Mary
Caz sorry to hear about the tonsillitis, but happy you've got the pills now. Praying that they work soon. Look after yourself, dearie.

One of the hymns in Songs of Praise yesterday (ours, not the BBC's) was "Be still my soul, the Lord is on thy side" to the tune of Finlandia.

The second verse spoke to me a lot:-

Be still my soul, thy God does undertake
To guide your future, as he has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.

MyrrhyBS · 17/01/2011 12:21

I have to laugh, it seems every time I switch on the radio, there's a 'message' for me. Today's is

"You can't hurry love, no you'll just have to wait, they say love don't come easy, its a game of give and take".

This was just as I was thinking about how to love people, rather than confrontation. :o

madhairday · 17/01/2011 12:50

Please pray for a Year 6 girl at our school who was run over this morning by the school gates and has a bad head injury. In hospital, no further news. :(

CazandBelle · 17/01/2011 15:01

praying mad.

I got a call an hour ago to say one of my little ones died in her sleep overnight. She was 8. She has been a poorly little girl with a DNR order in place for 2 and half years but recently has been really bright so her death is unexpected as things were. Trying to take comfort in the fact she went peacefully in her own bed but its really rocked me.

Thinking of a beautiful girl and her family today. please add them to your prayers.

MyrrhyBS · 17/01/2011 15:54

Thats really sad re: both of those. Praying for the Yr6 girl (DD is Yr6) MHD and for her family, and also for the family of that other girl Caz :(

amberlight · 17/01/2011 16:45

Many many prayers for little ones in distress or no longer with us... Sad

WisteriaWoman · 17/01/2011 19:05

Caz - what sad news. How utterly dreadful. I hope she's at peace now.
Mad - - what awful news. I pray the Year 6 girl will recover quickly.

Prayers for all

WW

PS Thank you for your recent prayers - they seem to be working. My dad has settled into the care home a little better, but he still sobs like a child when we leave. Sad Heartbreaking but it is the best place for him. Miss him terribly.

PositiveAttitude · 18/01/2011 06:38

Prayers for the family of the 8 year old, Caz. Sad

Also for the little one hit by the car.

amberlight · 18/01/2011 09:27

Keeping prayers going.

Could do with some. Finding it so very hard to get through the early mornings at the moment without absolute panic setting in ahead of tomorrow's tests. I need to learn to trust God more, I think.

madhairday · 18/01/2011 13:48

No more news on the girl except she has been in theatre and sounds like both legs broken. :( Will update when I hear.

Amber, praying especially for peace and calm for you now.

BoxofDelights · 18/01/2011 16:26

Caz, Mad and Amber, I am adding my prayers. Just an update on things here (find it quite hard to post about things publicly): I have started to try to sort out financial matters (have been too scared to open post, so things have become messy) though now I have sent off various letters and am waiting for a response which is worrying me. I also need to chase up money owed to me (though I need to become braver for that). I am hoping to check through all work emails etc by the end of this week. I am also waiting to hear from my GP whether I will be able to get some kind of counselling (and because of my agoraphobia I have also been ignoring some health matters which is probably quite reckless). I have been experiencing quite severe anxiety and panic still and I hope that I will be guided through it!
Thank you for all your support x

blackeyedsusan · 18/01/2011 19:18

Please pray for me and my children, we are being catapulted into single parenthood by an unexpected deterioration in our relationship, when my h thumped me in the head after a row. it was a shock as things were improving and I had just begun to hope that his dv course had had an effect.

It feels like God has got it in for me as I lurch from one crisis to another.

BlessedAssurance · 18/01/2011 19:19

prayers for all.such bad news CAZ ..

BlessedAssurance · 18/01/2011 19:20

oh i name changed from TooBlessed,i couldn't use the same nickname..

DutchOma · 18/01/2011 19:36

blackeyedsusan (nice name if it werent' for the connotation that it might have been your dh who gave you the black eye) praying for you that you will find a way through the current mess and that you will find peace that only God can give.
No, God has not 'got it in' for you, it may feel like that for a while, but eventually you will see that God was with you and on your side all the time.
On a more practical level, have you been in touch with Women's Aid and/or the CAB. In times as this you need some real life support.
How old are your children?

madhairday · 18/01/2011 20:09

praying for you boxofdelights and blackeyedsusan

Hi Blessed :)

BlessedAssurance · 18/01/2011 20:11

hi mad,,it feels good to be back.

blackeyedsusan · 18/01/2011 20:22

Children are 2 and 4

Been doing nothing but going to/ arranging appointments/phonecalls with drs, relate teacher, headteacher, local womens aid type group and mot at the garage

(Black eyed susan is a sort of flower we saw in canada, with bright orange petals sticking out everywhere, a bit like my hair)

DutchOma · 18/01/2011 20:47

Oh that is a good link. I love blackeyed susie plants, must get some for the garden this year.
I think Teaandcakeplease is a little ahead of you in the separation stakes, she will tell you how much life there is as a one-parent family.
