Which size crate for leaving pup in the day?

Our pup is 12 weeks and I will be leaving her alone a for a while tomorrow whilst I go to work. I will be coming home to check on her after 3 hours and to let her out, etc. This week I have left her for a couple of hours and she was fine. She is in her little crate at the moment and sleeps overnight in it but we have already bought a bigger one for when she grows a bit.

Should we maybe put her in the bigger one for daytime stretches or will it seem too big for her at this stage? Her present crate has just about enough room to stand and stretch out, with a cushion and toys in it.

What are you going on about?

You breached the mumsnet talk policy which says you can't make personal attacks on other users. I reported it last night and got an email last night from HelenMumsnet saying that it had been deleted.

Now seeing as you seem to dislike mumsnet so much perhaps you should leave? I doubt you'll be missed.

LOL at hardcore kong. Ours has a puppy kong at the moment, I think they are excellent. Our previous dog found them fun and they did keep him occupied. The secret was to read up on the recipes and put the extra tasty bit at the end to keep him going after it. In our case this was cheese, but I have heard liver paste being suggested. When I came home he would bring the Kong to me and I would pop out the last bit that he couldnt get to with either a pencil or a chew and he was really impressed. This is described online somewhere in a training manual, I'll try and find the link.

I think the ebook above which is a pdf file btw will really help you in your situation as it does mention departures, crates and kongs!

Wow, from the friendly banter in this thread, I can really see why The Times calls this "The country's most popular meeting point for parents"....

Looks like I missed the fisticuffs, my post was delayed and then posted twice. I will just have to imagine!
