OK, so that's me sorted until the 3am Song of My People. Think it's halfway down the stairs now. Because it really isn't anywhere, it's somewhere else instead.

On my side of the bed on my heating pad (for my bad back). The cats normally hog my bit of the bed.

Either on the other side of the bed or wherever I drop (youngest pup sleeps with me and the older one sleeps wherever she runs out of batteries).

Two junior cats. On the landing outside our behoved owner's bedroom - she who loves us too but will not let us trample on her head while she sleeps between shifts!

My gorgeous doggie has now burrowed into my back so I am lying on left side and will start nudging her away quite soon! She will go back to her blanket on top of duvet but will dig me about 2am to hold duvet up to get comfy again in my back 😊

I shold be in the kitchen in a big comfy pet bed, but instead I'm high-tailing it outside and catching rodents! 😂

Yeah, absolute centre of the bed so that the person who pays the bills and fills the cat bowls has to huddle on the edge/sleep with their knees drawn up. If I’m bored I might randomly pick a fight with my sibling in the middle of the night.

I have a few choices.

I could be like the shitlands and choose to sleep in the wet field (although they do have a lovely warm field shelter with straw and abundant hay). Or I could sleep on rubber matted deep littered stables where the other 3 horses sleep. I’ve spent many nights in both nursing them through colic.

In the barn (5 cats)

In the old kitchen (orphaned lambs until we find another mummy). We’re mid renovation and have kept a “working” kitchen so our new one doesn’t have lambs in it!

Curious as to which pets sleep on top of the wardrobe?

Either slightly to the right of where I am, slightly to the left, in the box room on an old quilt, in the spare room on the bed, in the bathroom on a towel or on the sofa. Dcat is an old lady of many beds.

Like many of you I will now have the best bit of the bed (in the middle) instead of perching on the edge. Possibly in an Amazon box if the middle of the bed gets too hot or I get squished. Possibly between the pillows in case I fancy licking heads in the night. That's only if I choose to be pet number 1.
If I choose to be someone else I could find myself on top of the fridge (It's a tall one), on my favourite chair with a snuggly throw, in an empty crisp box in the kitchen, or disguised as carpet at the top of the stairs waiting to trip someone headlong into oblivion.

In the kitchen (because otherwise I would be a total pest at 5am). I would have choices though - two cat beds, a cat tree, or an Amazon box on top of the fridge.

I’ll start out on the fluffy doughnut on the floor - it’s comfy, but the night is long and I like a bit of variety. So after a bit, I’ll stretch out across the top of the sofa and indent the first cushion to its full capacity, before moving on to the next one and then the next (it’ll be great fun watching my master plump all four of them up in the morning).

I’d start in the dog bed under the window, move to the spare double bed with my head on the windowsill then about 5am I’d get into my owners bed and go under the duvet and try & curl up then I’d get hot and slide out of the bottom of the bed and end up on the floor. I’m only a 35kg Labrador so I really wouldn’t disturb anyone (NOT)!!

On the landing until 2am,then on a sheepskin rug at the bottom of my bed.

Curled up on a pile of today's clothes that my owner discarded on the floor - the grubbier the better. My head fits perfectly in a bra cup. (I used to put clothes straight in the laundry basket but that made the cat sad, so that was that.)

Both my cats have been known to do that.

I’ll get most of the bed!

In the laundry basket, on the bedroom chair, on the side landing where the heating pipes run, between the pillows, at DH's feet. Two cats, their postions vary.

If I close our bedroom door, which I shall because they have brought three mice in this week, I have no odea.

Stretched out horizontally, paws outstretched, in the middle of the bed, taking all the space, forcing the humans to clutch onto the edges for dear life. I'm a 3.5kg Chihuahua, it's my superpower. Oh, and don't try to pivot me, or claim my space if you value your hands.

During the day, I'm your loyal, loving, obedient best friend. But disturb me during my long sleep and I'm the Devil incarnate...
