I really love my cat, I play with him every day turn him on his back and Stroke and kiss his tummy and fluffy arm pits . I often dance around the house serenading him with songs..
Usually Prince could you be the most beautiful cat in the world? It’s plain to see you’re the reason why God made a cat 🎵🎤😂

Rock-a-bye baby, ( whilst cradling him like a baby) or sing pop songs where I will replace the word boy or girl with “cat”., ( Especially like One Direction is what makes you beautiful?)
I have often referred to him as my son ha ha my daughter who is seven has started to behave the same way I am laughing as I am writing this as I know it’s a bit much but he really is funny and cute
Often he played bite and tussles with me But he loves the attention especially when I’m brushing his fur
he is very cute I shall show you a picture of him and you must all reply with yes he is Lord Catto and declare your undying devotion to him.
(PS don’t worry I do show my undying devotion to my daughter as well!)

I tell mine she is a ginger princess @Bagpuss1200 she is a female ginger so she's quite rare and extra special. And she knows it!

Yeah I sing and make up songs for all my cats. My mum does especially. She used to sing "yes nana loves us, yes nana loves us, our nana told us so!(to the tune of Jesus loves us/me) when George best died my mum had been watching parts of his funeral and she said to me "guess what they sang, nana loves us." " I said "you're joking, why?" I had actually forgotten the correct words 🙄

This is normal isn't it ? I can't get enough of my cat(s) . I lost my gorgeous George in October. He was my actual baby. He had his bedtime song every night. I love you Georgy porgy pudding, and we did nuzzy noos on love step for ages, It was too sad when he got poorly but Im glad he is at peace now. Now we have our feisty little Myrtle, she likes curling up next to mummy and sleeps in mummy's bed when she deigns too. I'm not allowed nuzzy noos with her and she doesn't like kisses but I am allowed to pick her up. I adore her she is queen , princess and empress and all manor of accolades, even when she swats me for no reason at all. I'm not sure she's into the being sung at yet but it is happening reguardless. xxxx

This sounds perfectly reasonable. Nobody gets a cat to then play it cool.

Of course it's normal. I'd rather spend time with my csts than anyone else. My adult son feels the same about his cats

Totally normal. I think I love one of my cats more than I love Dd.

Totally normal, I probably wouldn’t have had DC if I got my car first. He feels the same as me, if I go out for the evening he waits by the front door and says hello about 1000 times and I have to give him lots of kisses. Then he stalks me as I get ready to go to bed.

I sing my own song to my big cat (to the tune of London's Burning):

"Mummy loves you, Mummy loves you
Precious big cat, precious big cat
Purr purr, purr purr,
Mummy loves you, Mummy loves you"

There are other verses and new ones get added routinely. When I sing it she goes from normal purrs to chirrpy purrs. It's our little routine.

(Am fully aware I sound more than odd!)

My boys bring me utter joy.

I think they are magical.

If ever I have to go through something unpleasant they are the happy place I go to in my head.

They are the sweetest brothers and I am besotted by them.

I am like that with Floof. I also tell him he has a magnificent tail and he bounces it every time I say that and I tell he will be the world's biggest cat in the Guinness Book of Records and he trills and rolls over to that. I have to be careful when I say who is Mummy's favourite boy that I add in Floofy boy. He has got me through cancer, chemo etc and my son being in hospital for 8 months. He is the world's happiest cat, always trilling and never grumpy.

Nobody loves their cats more than me.
I also have a Bearded Dragon and he enjoys me singing "Puff the Magic Dragon" to him before bedtime. Tilts his little spikey head and closes his little beady eyes.

I'm a new kitty owner, we decided ds1 who is 8 could finally have a cat. I have absolutely fallen in love with her and treat her like my third child 🙈 We have dedicated play time every day and i cook fresh chicken because she loves it. On a night when the kids have gone to bed we snuggle up on the sofa and she settles to sleep. I also pick her up and she lays on her back in my arms and i sing pussy cat pussy cat i love you and she nose nuzzles me. I turned into a crazy cat lady overnight and i love it!!! Here she is, my pixie poo 🥰🥰

I have a special voice for each of my cats. I hadn't realised.. One of them is missing and I was chatting to her in the garden and my niece came barrelling out... Is Kitty back?! I heard you talking to her! I thought I had the same voice for all of them!

I'm always saying.. You the most beautiful kitten you mama she loves you vezzy mut" .

They're like... who the f you think you're talking to? We have the superior intellect!

Cats are beautiful, mysterious, lovable, perplexing, and no two are alike. In my soul I love them all (although I've only known a few). I respect your feeling and recognize some of that in myself. It's a powerful love that sometimes needs to given boundaries and some "time out" for self-care and perspective. Cats, by nature, are solitary creatures. Some cats become more attuned to socialization and frequent interation. Some, however, just need a lot of quiet alone time because they are hard wired that way. They love you still..... but their primal nature eclipses their personality (as we would call it). The important thing is that YOU enjoy feeling the love that you give to your cat. And cats are smart and highly sensitive. It feels your love too even if it's not very receptive. You have added richness , health , and years to it's life. Enjoy that thought.

It is perfectly normal. I have a song for Milo my cat which is You are my sunshine and I substitute Milo for sunshine. He's ok with it,

The first cat was Proialurus approx 33 million years ago. Bit bigger than a housecat and tended to live in trees. Think of that evolution. They are truly ancient.

I've loved every single cat I've had more than any human.

Very reasonable normal behaviour. I worship my 2 cats. My fabulous fluffy boy and cute little tabby girl.
