Help please naming a female black labradoodle!

We have become the proud owners of a lovely female black labradoodle and all the doggie names I can think of are male. DS2 wants Pippin so the options so far that I have are:-

Pippin
Molly
Maisie (although not sure about this one as it is the name of one of DS1's friends little sisters).

She was still nameless this morning and we were no nearer making a decision so we put all the names we liked in a hat (well a plastic box ) and "Pippin" came out the winner. DS1 is in a bit of sulk now but I'm sure he'll get over it!

Thanks for the crate info Doodledootoo, we are getting used to the idea and Pippin is getting used to it sometimes being open, sometimes closed, after the first time we locked her in she was reluctant to go back in it again(it was dark, maybe should have left a light on, she came out her basket and fell into her water bowl and was howling we we came in ) but she seems happier about it now and even seems to understand "Go bed" when she gets to the stage where she is just aimlessly wandering around and obviously shattered.

Aww she is soooo sweet!! I want one

Skyler · 02/11/2007 18:33

Aw! My parents have a gorgeous white labradoodle called Bertie. He is wonderful but absolutely HUGE!! Like a polar bear. I am totally smitten and we were Boxer fans before so a bit of a change.

smartiejake · 02/11/2007 21:52

Smartie -smart and sweet (my dogs name hence the nick name!)

dinny · 02/11/2007 21:54

one of our kittens is Tilly and it sooooo suits her and is such a cute name.

or Inca?

12yeargap · 02/11/2007 23:05

Labradoodle? .

Call it what you like, but I hope you didn't pay much for it.

hercules1 · 03/11/2007 07:55

Wow, just looked at your profile. No wonder you grabbed her so quickly - she's gorgeous!

Skyler · 03/11/2007 16:03

12 year gap. They are a fab dog and very much in demand and therefore ££££££!

MrsSpoon · 04/11/2007 22:37

Lovely names, particularly like Inca, although my fav is Bella and I would have called her Bella had it been totally up to me.

12yeargap, of course you are entitled to your opinion and yes I did pay a fair bit for her but as Skyler says they are fantastic dogs, I am fully aware she is not a pedigree and is a cross.

Ahhh, she's gorgeous, so sweet. Pippin is a good name, we had a chinchilla called pippin when I was a child, after the 'Lord of the Rings' though. One other suggestion about the crate, we were told with ours to drape a blanket over the top, just leaving the front uncovered, it makes it feel more like a den apparently and seems to keep it cosier. We just use a large dog blanket as it does occaisionally get nibbled! Hope you have lots of fun with her.
