:( :( :( ...my kitten hasn't came home!!

hi, let the kitten out yestaerday evening amd he hasn't come home. have driven round the local area and asked all the neighbours who were out and about. have called the local vets and they haven't heard about him or seen him. have tried to get through to cats protection but can't get through, is there anything else i can do/try and has anyone any positive stories about their cat coming back after being 'lost'?

thanks but am feeling really and his sister is crying around the house looking for him but i've not let her out today as he's missing though not sure if i should let her out to try and find him?

thank you pirategirl. That is so sweet. I hope he did have good life with us. We all really loved him. My husband even cried! The poem is lovely, I will print it and keep it.

mine is not a outdoor cat as she go out..have a nose for 10 mins and then i can hear "MMMIIiiiiiaaaaaaooooooowwww!!!", i open the back door and she have her claw stuck in the draught excluder trying to get in!!! ...i have to kick her out most of the time

Im ok thank you. Feeling better bit by bit. Im am having his ashes back and even spoke to cremetoriam about method etc.. Just to re-assure myself that it is Dobbi I will be getting back. So that has helped me. Still welling up throughout the day though

So sad to hear what happened Dionne. Made me well up. Read out what happened to DH and he's all sad now. Both our parents have cats and not looking forward to the day when they go.
I know people say 'oh but they are just cats' but they really are part of the family.
Are you keeping his ashes or scattering them in a fave place?

Just saw this thread and was going to reassure nicm, our cat went missing for 20 days and we found him in the end.. but then saw you lost your cat dionne.. I´m so so sorry. Our cat was run over too when he was only a year old. It was so so sad and I missed him terribly for a long time. I made up a little photo album with all the photos we had of him which helped a bit. That was almost 3 years ago now but we still talk about him and remember him so fondly, I do still miss him at times but about a year after he died we picked up a stray and were given another one shortly after. It did take us about that year to feel like we could have another cat without feeling we were replacing max but really they remind more us of him and their new personalities often get us talking about his funny habits. One thing I would say is try to talk about him with your partner from now, I couldn´t talk about it for ages for crying and when I finally felt I could, I felt like I´d forgotten so many little things just for having shut them out.

Hi all. Thank you again for your support. I am having his ashes back in a casket with his name on. We will have him forever then! I miss him so much. My dog is really depressed. They had such a close relationship, always cuddling up, sniffing noses, eating together etc... Its just so so sad. My dd keeps calling his name standing by the back door
But day by day things do get easier. At least he came home and could be there for him at the end
We have lots of photos so we will put an album together.

Sorry to hear about your cat maveta, its such an awful thing to go through isnt it. But at least you were able to give 2 more cats a nice warm loving home
