My cat is still under quarantine, poor sod. He was hit by a car in the first week of May, and has had 2 ops since, poor bugger has got to have a 3rd to remove the pin in his leg sometime in the next cpl of weeks. He is gagging to get outside in the sunshine, but he is under vets orders.

expatinscotland · 13/07/2006 12:36

wait till you go collect him from the surgery and he's all groggy from the anaethesia!

persians have very distinct miaows, and smokey's was all wonky for the day after he came home.

he tried to jump on the couch and missed b/c he was still all wobbly from the anaesthia.

aw! poor baby! he just sat half on my lap and purred and purred whilst i stroked him.

NomDePlume · 13/07/2006 12:39

poisson, his treatment when all done will have cost us £1k , bloody ridiculous really, but thankfully we had the money to pay for it (out of the equity from the sale of our old house) and so didn't have to make the decision to put him down. If this had have happened any other time and we didn't have £x thousand sitting in the bank, then we would've had to say goodbye, I think

KTeePee · 13/07/2006 12:41

Aha you hardened MNetters - we have found you have soft centres after all!

SherlockLGJ · 13/07/2006 13:08

Update please.

JanH · 13/07/2006 13:17

Our old cat - I mean the cat which used to be ours but moved in with a neighbour - had to have a couple of teeth out last year and has been incredibly healthy and happy since then and she is 16.

I hope Edgar makes a swift recovery

JanH · 13/07/2006 13:18

oo, cod's original MN name was edgarcat!

oliveoil · 13/07/2006 13:38

I know but I though that was just a stupid name

WigWamBam · 13/07/2006 13:47

How is he, oh fishy one? Been thinking about him all day. I felt awful when my cat had to have all her teeth taken out, but it was for the best in the long run. Doesn't stop her eating anything that's going either.

Hope he's OK.

SoupDragon · 13/07/2006 13:50
