as im thinking of getting one as atm got no pets and my 2 g. pigs died not long ago. (my DD is 15 mths old and she had met my friends cat who she was very gentle with it)

ive got a big house with a yard in the back and i can see everyone back yard thru my back bedrrom window, and ive noticed there are at least 3 cats lived around here

(im a dog lover but it wouldnt be fair having a dog with no garden!)

I have 6, love them to bits, will happily put up with all the rubbish as they are all the best secret keepers i have ever met.

Also always know when I need a cuddle.

Because, unless it is run over, or stolen by a gang who sell cats to vivisectionists or something,it will grow into a cat.

I am looking for a new home for my 9 mth old kitten as our other two cats (one was this kittens siter) have been run over and I do not want Thelma to get squashed
She is spayed and vaccinated, wormed and de fleaded - housetrained, cat door trained, tolerant of kids - shy but sweet, can catch mice she is black and brown tortoiseshell
I'm in Lincs and would love to see her in a safe new home.

puddytats · 12/01/2006 22:03

They might not be able to speak but they understand everything and never answer me back, perfect

Blu · 12/01/2006 22:04

Because older cats are much better with small children. We adopted two older cats (11 when we got them) and all the hard work was already done. We have however had one of them die (although our friends with kittens had one of them run over, so death is always a bit of a risk) and the other one is very noisy! I'll probably go for kittens next time now that the kids are older, but for a 15mth old I would definitely go for an older cat with known temperament. Also, to be very mean, if it doesn't work out, you won't have potentially 20 years plus to work out what to do with it!

biglips · 12/01/2006 22:37

well there arent any gardens where i live but i do live right outside a very very busy road so the cats just hang out in the back

if i do get one, will all the cats be hanging round here and whats is best female or male?

ive got 3 cats that ive had from kittens. kittens can be a pain when tearing around but grow into loyal animals. ive got 2 boys and a girl. one of the boys disappears for a couple of days and comes back. the other boy is a homeboy. the girl is a piggy, im sure they have the same hormones as woman, she dont stop eating. go on get one
