@pointythings On abortion there's nothing to be debated

So no point in me engaging further with you is there?

Nope, none at all. As early as possible, as late as necessary. Anyone condoning laws that kill women needs to give their head a wobble.

@StopTheBusINeedAWeeWeeAWeeWeeBagOChips

You seem to be getting rather aggressive about this? I wonder why that is?

I was asking a question and I'll ask it again - So how are you campaigning and what effect is it having?

You really wonder why I'm getting aggressive at a bunch of people trying to restrict my daughters rights further based on their own personal belief system?

For starters I've emailed my MP about this absolutely stupid idea based on you and your ilk trying to make yourselves feel good about babies without even giving a second thought to the women.

I'll ask the question again, you state that all these awful things are happening, then why are you campaigning to further restrict rights rather than fix all of these supposedly terrible things? Is it because you don't actually give a shit?

As PP pointed out there's no point trying to have a constructive debate though because you actually don't care about the real issues, and you don't answer anything just spout that the people who's rights you want to restrict are aggressive and then don't answer what you're actually doing about these issues that you've raised.

OK, whatever you say.

Have a good life.

As usual the forced birther won't engage with the idea that women have rights and are more than breeding vessels...

StopTheBusINeedAWeeWeeAWeeWeeBagOChips · 06/03/2024 11:18

@pointythings because they don't have any point beyond "I don't want to do it based on my beliefs, but I also want other people to do it based on my beliefs as well". It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.

Useful to have a heads up on what the other side are up to. Let's hope the amendment is resoundingly voted down.

StopTheBusINeedAWeeWeeAWeeWeeBagOChips · 06/03/2024 12:53

Oh for sure it's handy, if op hadn't posted I would never have known, and then wouldn't have written to my MP to try and counteract it.

I hope others have done the same.

Don't feel sorry for my kids, they are equally as passionate about keeping their rights.

Mine too. Some of us care about actual living women.

I've just looked up survival rates for babies born at 22 weeks. It's between 10 and 30% - this is not a reason to shift the law, especially since out of those that survived, 30 to 40% will have severe lifelong disabilities and a further 30% will have moderate levels of lifelong disability.

If as a woman you want to make that choice, fine. But it should always be the woman's choice whether or not to take that on.

When will the amendment be voted on?
