Signed at change.org which I think is the bigger petition. So depressing to have to do this just after signing about Dapper Laughs.

lanbro · 14/11/2014 09:53

Signed, disgusting

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 14/11/2014 10:01

He hasn't been convicted of a crime, and even people with a criminal record don't get barred for entering the UK indefinitely.

Even though he is inciting sexual assault/rape?

Aeroflotgirl · 14/11/2014 10:04

It is no different to race or hate crime. He is a threat to public safety.

WooWooOwl · 14/11/2014 10:10

It'sallgoingtobefine, then charge him with that crime if he commits it after being on British soil.

I just don't think we can stop people having free movement just because they are a twat. Until he's charged with something, technically he's done nothing wrong.

Aeroflotgirl · 14/11/2014 10:17

Woo woo he's more than a twat. Men who have been to his talks are actually using his techniques, unsucsefully though!

fatlazymummy · 14/11/2014 10:27

woowooowl a visa to any country isn't a right. It's a privelege. It can be withheld for any reason.
Being a piece of shit is a good enough reason. No crime needs to have been committed.

HonestLie · 14/11/2014 10:34

WooWoo are you serious? The "techniques" this man is teaching people are basically a how to guide on rape, abuse and coercion. Whether or not he personally has broken the law in the UK is immaterial. He intends for others to through learning and using his "techniques" not to mention that he is a threat to any woman who comes into contact with him.

I wish there was something that could be done about the people signed up for his seminars too. They also have not committed any crime but given how publicised this man and his seminars have been I would put money on the majority of people attending being a direct threat to women also.

fatlazymummy · 14/11/2014 10:35

And there is no 'free movement' between Britain and the UK, either way. So 'we' can stop him entering the country ,just because 'we' don't want him here. Same in reverse.

RightyTightyLeftyLoosey · 14/11/2014 10:36

Signed both to be on the safe side.

vile disgusting misogynistic wanker Angry

BreakingDad77 · 14/11/2014 10:37

what kind of visa is he on? as if a tourist he could not seek financial gain.

stephanielittl7 · 14/11/2014 10:39

Signed the change.org one as someone upthread (sorry cant remember who) said it went to the House of Commons. He is disgusting and needs to be stopped.

YonicScrewdriver · 14/11/2014 10:45

Woowoo, he is coming here to work - to ply his trade. If he was coming as a tourist I don't think he'd need a visa but then he couldn't work.

EustaciaBenson · 14/11/2014 10:46

Signed the petition, thank you for posting about it

ClaudetteWyms · 14/11/2014 10:47

YANBU.

WooWooOwl - as women we are often prey to "little" assaults - a grab here, squeeze there. I have been, from the age of around 15, to recently in my 40s. We go home feeling angry/crap about it but don't do anything about it most of the time.

If someone learning this creep's "techniques" grabbed you and shushed you as JB does, say in a club, would you really call the police? I don't think I would bother. But that doesn't mean it's acceptable.

We have to stop him coming here to spread his hate speech - which is what this is. Against many other groups of people it would be illegal. We do not and should not have to put up with this horrible little inadequate preaching here.

LisaMumsnet · 14/11/2014 10:53

Hi everyone

Just to let you know that we're going to move this thread to our Petitions Noticeboard as we don't allow petitions on any other boards. We'll also edit the first link so that it works.

I have signed both.

The petition "supporting" him was apparently started by a "Julian Noir" Hmm So I wouldn't worry too much about it... though still disappointing that a handful of people have signed it.

WooWooOwl · 14/11/2014 11:13

I completely agree with him being denied a visa that allows him to work. I know what he's saying, and if he says it while in this country I'd agree with him being charged and deported. I just don't think he should be denied a tourist visa unless we're going to start looking into the spoken/written opinions of everyone we give a tourist visa to.

It's unclear whether the petition is to deny him entry at all, or if it's to deny him a visa that allows him to work. I suppose if he isn't asking for a tourist visa, then we don't have that to deny him anyway.

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 14/11/2014 11:22

Signed. And he recently had his Australian visa revoked due to a campaign held over there against his 'seminars'.

The petition should be clearer. I completely agree with your points re a tourist visa, but it is a work visa he would require as he and his company would be running (very expensive) paid for seminars in the UK.

Aeroflotgirl · 14/11/2014 12:18

He should not be able to come to the UK at all. He can still peddle his nonesense, even do underground secret seminars, or appear on speakers corner etc

ScrambledSmegs · 14/11/2014 13:22

Signed both. He should not be allowed in to this country on a work visa to tell men that it's ok to sexually assault women, it's a man's right and hey, here's how you do it Angry.

fatlazymummy · 14/11/2014 15:01

Agree with you Aeroflot. We already have enough arseholes, no need for another one.
