Please join bereaved mum in petitioning P&O Ferries to Install CCTV cameras on passenger decks.

In May last year my son was on a P&O Ferry crossing from Calais to Dover. He went on deck for a cigarette and never returned. He was never found and there were no CCTV cameras on deck to show us what happened to him. They have CCTV cameras to protect the duty free but not to protect the passengers. We don't know if he fell, or jumped or was pushed. Please help us to change the law so that ferries must have closed circuit television on deck.

Thank you. Yes is is amazing that there are no CCTV cameras on Passenger Decks. We always assumed there were and so did everyone else, apparently. That's why our petition has struck such a cord with people, because they are so gob-smacked that there can be cctv on duty free goods but none where there is real danger. It is totally wrong and needs rectifying.
Please keep spreading the word as widely as possible and get them to sign and share. We don't want this happening to other families.

We are also horrified by the number of people who go overboard from ferries and cruise ships. We had no idea just how many 'til we started our campaign and people began writing to us about people they had also lost. Something needs to change.
