To ask you to support this rape victim?

Apologies if there have been other threads on this but I can't find one.

"Liz", a 16 year old Kenyan girl has been gang-raped by boys from her school then dumped in a latrine pit. She has spinal, bowel & bladder injuries and now needs to use a wheelchair. The police did arrest some of her attackers but let them go - their only punishment was having to cut the police station's lawn.

Please sign this petition calling on the Kenyan government to ensure justice for her and other rape victims

Cutting the grass as punishment is ridiculous, it's not like they stole a packet of sweets.

Is there any information on the response from the police yet?

From what I can tell the perpetrators have fled to Uganda so justice may never be done. At least the girl won't have to face them every day

And hopefully this campaign will make it more difficult for the police to ignore the next rape victim.
