It's on the top-right of my keyboard, sharing a key with the plus-minus sign.

HeadFairy ~ means "approximately" and with a straight line under "is approximately equal to" I think. I don't have a section/ paragraph symbol, how very sad!

Two together (like an equal sign but both wonky) is approximately equal. The sign on it's own is called a tilde link here
