Am I the only one who is being driven mad by the number of people on MN who write "reign in?" It seems standard practice now, (and don't start me on practise/practice!) so is it one of those things that people are now going to attempt to justify as being OK?
Come on, you lovely pedants. Make me feel better about this, as I'm fighting the urge not to scream at posters on other threads

Doesn’t ‘phase’ me rather than faze me 😣

Me/I - my theory is that children learn that it's frowned on to say 'Me and Sam went to the park'. Over and over they hear 'No, you mean "Sam and I went to the park" '. They don't understand why, however, so they wrongly extrapolate from that that it's also wrong to say 'That's a big job for Sam and me' and they say 'That's a big job for Sam and I'.

Yes! I have a field day whenever someone 'corrects' my use of "me" as an object in a clause.

Surely you mean ‘fighting the urge to scream’? As in, you have an urge to scream but are fighting it.
