Am I the only one who is being driven mad by the number of people on MN who write "reign in?" It seems standard practice now, (and don't start me on practise/practice!) so is it one of those things that people are now going to attempt to justify as being OK?

Me too! And I think perhaps people have heard the expression but not written it, then see it written as 'reign' and so perpetuate the crime.

Your instead of you’re is popping up everywhere.

Autocorrect and spellcheck are only useful if you can already spell and punctuate, and have a good grasp of English grammar. Lots of people would happily settle for your when it's offered. The poor old apostrophe is doomed.

Grammer schools pop up frequently on Education threads.

'He's' instead of 'his' is bizarre but I've seen it.
